“I didn’t even know I could do that!” Roy exclaimed, referring to the kick he just performed.

“Can you try to spread the energy to the rest of your body?” Master Abraham carefully asked, taking a few steps back.

Roy focused and willed the energy in his legs to move upward, and it did, but settled in his hands.

’My punches will be heavy with this,’ he realised and willed it again to stretch and cover his entire arms.

He could see the ethereal light, and as he stretched across the surface area of his body, it grew thinner.

’And my swings will be faster with this. I wonder if it doubles the defense in my arms too…’

Roy tried to stretch it further, but it had obviously reached its maximum elastic limit before it got damaged and began to dissipate.

“I don’t think I can. For now, it’s just in my legs, my arms, and fists,” Roy mentioned.

“We can work with that.”

Master Abraham picked up the wooden baton and threw the dagger over to Roy.

Roy caught it and charged, having moved the energy back to his legs. He found being quicker more appealing than having more powerful blows, as the MATH.exe executioner was far too nimble to land a hit with just his regular speed.

Some time later, Roy was covered in dirt and sand, having been pummelled repeatedly by his master.

“If you’re going to strike, then strike to kill,” was what the C-Class Executioner said to justify his harsh treatment of his poor student.

“Asshole,” Roy muttered, watching Master Abraham’s back as he walked away.

He tiredly raised his body and held his right arm delicately.

Right then, Master Abe halted, making Roy shiver. ’Did he hear what I said?’

But Master Abraham turned back and bent slightly, stretching his hand out to help Roy stand.

A taken aback Roy cautiously took his mentor’s hand, of course. And in the next second, a black halo spread out from Master Abraham, and Roy found the pain all over his body soothed, while the injuries healed.

Master Abraham knew what Roy was going to ask and said, “[Circle of Order] allows me to set a new order within the black halo. For example, the order right now is: Subtract health from this health box, and add it to mine, while I subtract from my health and add it to yours.”

Roy was astonished once again by MATH.exe’s capabilities. He pondered and asked, “Wait, you took the speed of the abyss creatures around you, but didn’t use the increased speed that time with the Veinback Rippers, right?”

The black halo receded into Master Abraham, and he let go of Roy. Meanwhile, the health box in his other hand dematerialised into black geometric shapes.

“Yes,” Master Abraham said.

“Does… Does that mean you could’ve directly drained the health of the abysshounds?” Roy asked, suddenly scared for his life.

Master Abraham chuckled and gave a rare smile.

“Who knows?”

Later that night, Roy waited for the bastard Pierre to sign in, but he didn’t. Unlike Roy, he wasn’t in a quarantined district killing abyss creatures and acquiring energy crystals left and right.

The soldiers delivered the party’s share of the energy crystals acquired from the battlefield. Master Abraham told Roy he had given Lady Sunfire the antlers of the Reanimated Elder Weredeer, while he had taken the D-grade energy crystal.

“It is your kill, but the agreement for me to be here is that I get all the energy crystals acquired,” Master Abraham said when Roy asked him about the loot.

Donald was furious, of course, but he couldn’t do anything about it. Roy took another approach and begged for a share of the energy crystals. There was no pride when it came to matters of treasure!

Out of the goodness of Abraham Goodwill’s heart, he offered Roy one E-grade and four F-grade energy crystals.

“Greedy bastard,” Roy muttered as he held the five crystals in his hand.

Later that night, Master Abraham engaged Roy in a bit of math… homework. Of course, he screamed; anyone would when tortured in such a manner.

His only saving grace was that Nana called and wanted to hear his voice.

The following day, Roy woke up with dried tears on his face. Never in his wildest dreams did he realise that running away from school to fight abyss creatures would only bring him back to that which he hated.

Master Abraham took Roy to scout around and hunt some more abyss creatures, pushing him nearer to levelling up. After that, they engaged in mortal combat, but this time, the C-Class Executioner was more focused on teaching Roy the proper stance, footwork, attack pattern, and so on when wielding a dagger.

Roy experimented more with using his [2x Multiplier] to augment his body parts. He tried to put the energy from the skill into his eyes, believing he would gain eagle vision, but he only made his head capable of bashing into wood.

Back at the APC, Roy rested and woke up with a warm feeling in his chest.

He rushed to the toilet, and the iridescent cube appeared in front of him, floating as usual and spinning slowly on its axis.
