There was no aggressive response from the enemy when Ethan arrived. As he opened the tent flap, Ethan saw an elegant woman seated inside, waiting for him.

“I’m glad you were willing to come and negotiate with me,” the woman said.

“You and your guild arrived so suddenly. My soldiers and I could easily destroy you.”

“Haha. Without a fight, I could surrender just as easily,” the woman replied.

Ethan narrowed his eyes, confused. “What do you mean?”

“Ethan!” the woman said, her expression turning serious as she leaned forward. “I will hand over Sacred Hall’s core crystal, as long as you are willing to grant our city protection.”

Ethan let out a small laugh. “Your city would disappear if its core crystal were handed over to me.”

“Not this city,” the woman clarified. “The Sacred Hall city in the central plains.”

The man in front of her stopped laughing, curiosity sparked by what he had just heard.

“I’m listening.”
