Chapter 59: New Artillery: Part Two
Following my recent declaration, I activate my Improve Skill.
“The thread is a strong weapon, for sure.” I acknowledge internally. “But for something made from Thunderium of all things, it’s absolute crap. Maybe I just feel this way because I’m the Blacksmith but this is the problem with the weapons owned by other Warriors. I noticed the same issue with the Twelve Whistling Daggers, especially after getting the Thousand Twin Death Needles.”
The minerals the weapons used by other Warriors are made of are very special.
Like Poison Steel for example, it’s a metal with poisonous properties and is apparently so rare and valuable that it’s found in only one Dungeon. The metal literally secretes poison that can melt normal metal in seconds, but the Twelve Whistling Daggers don’t have that property, even though they’re made from it.
“And the poison the Death Needles secrete is basically water compared to the poison the steel secretes on its own.”
This tells me that whatever methods other Warriors use to make weapons actually degrade the minerals used in some odd way.
“It’s no secret that when making a weapon, the materials used will always need to be tampered with one way or another. Be it being mixed in with other things, being imbued with Mana or being reshaped into something else for whatever purposes. The problem is that they’re never tampered with in a good way. Like the thread for example. Thunderium doesn’t just emit electricity, it can literally conjure out lightning bolts and thunder storms that can level mountains. And yet the moment it was turned into the thread, it couldn’t even emit enough electricity to kill me instantly.”
I conjure out the Thread of Unbridled Severance.
“I’m probably the only person in the world who can make a weapon that can not only draw out the full capabilities of the material it’s made of, but even enhance them. After all, I was able to make a Super-Grade blade with just normal iron.”
I activate Cultivator then roll the Thread or Threads of Unbridled Severance up like a ball of yarn, using my Mana to move it all around in mid-air. I then conjure out the Dragon Furnace and Everchanging Anvil then place the ball in the furnace to melt it up. I then make the anvil to form a large enough hole and pour in the Thread of Unbridled Severance, which is now completely liquidated. Then I imbue it with Mana to cool it down faster than normal. After that, I take out the chunk of metal that results and set it aside.
“And now… Spell creation here we come. Activate Treasure Hunt and Soul-Piercing Eyes…” I activate both Treasure Hunt and Soul-Piercing Eyes. “Next, all my other high level Skills…” So I then activate all my A-Rank Skills along with the one S-Rank.
Using Astral Unification to link them all to both Treasure Hunt and Soul-Piercing Eyes and Cultivator to expertly circulate the Mana, I transfer all of their summed up Mana to the two leading Skills in order to enhance their respective abilities. Treasure Hunt’s radar immediately surpasses its limit of 2400 kilometers, covering the entire planet, while Soul-Piercing Eyes allows me to peer into the very nature of all Kairon.
Then it happens. Time slows down.
“Epiphany. I can see it, I can see everything. All my continents, islands, rivers, dams, down to the smallest puddle. All the mountains, seas and oceans, all the different places with different weather conditions, even down to Kairon’s core. There isn’t a single place on this planet that my gaze can’t reach. I’ll call this Spell, Overseer. Yeah, Overseer.” As soon as I say that, time begins to move normally again. “For three minutes, I’ll be a powerhouse, I’ll use this Empowerment to create a second Spell…”
So I do. This time, I make Item Space the leading Skill and supply it with the nearly unquantifiable Mana from all the other Skills.
“The Item Space’s transport function. I’ve notice that it works in a very interesting way. When I dematerialize from Kairon to the real world, I can appear at any place I want, as long as it’s a place I know and have visited before. The same is true the other way around as well. As long as I know the place, I can appear anywhere I want in Kairon. But what if I wanted to use that same exact transport function to instantly appear anywhere in Kairon without having to teleport to Earth and back first. It shouldn’t at all be impossible, but of course, I’d have to know where I’m teleporting myself to first, and that’s why I created the Overseer Spell. With it, I’m able to know exactly where the place I wanna go is without having to be there physically first.”
Time slows down once more after I say that. I’m having another Epiphany.
I can feel power surging throughout my entire being.
“There it is! I feel it. I can teleport anywhere I want in Kairon now, I know I can. Then how about a test run.” Using the Overseer Spell to look through the countless places on Kairon, I grab the chunk of metal I had melted from before then focus to teleport to a specific location on the other side of the world. My world.
My body is instantly pixelated as if breaking down and I disappear from the Emerald Beach.
I then immediately reappear in pixelating form in the middle of another, much smaller island.
“There’s a reason I came here.”
It’s raining. More than that, it’s a storm. The wind blows strong to the point that all the surrounding trees bend in its direction. The rains pours down heavily that it floods the entire ground to the point that the water even reaches my chest. Thunder roars continuously loudly as if declaring ownership of the entire island. A countless number of lightning bolts incessantly strike the surroundings, disappearing as fast as they appear.
“Yes… This is what I need right now.” I use my flight Spell which still remains unnamed to fly up high into the very center of the storm, the clouds. My chunk of metal in tow.
“Oh right. Almost forgot, don’t try this at home kids!”
Arriving in the middle of the clouds, I imbue the chunk of metal up with Mana, while it levitates in mid-air right in front of me and use the same method I did on the elemental gemstones from before to compress it in order to increase the quality and quantity of its Mana. Only this time, I don’t just use Cultivator for the job, I add Soul-Piercing Eyes, Fury of Dantian and Astral Unification as well. The Mana spikes. The lightning bolts from the storm all start to get attracted to the metal and begin to constantly strike it while I begin compressing it. The metal starts getting smaller and smaller as pieces are broken down from it and turn to dust as they scatter, all the while constantly getting struck by lightning more times than I can count. Meanwhile I’m also getting struck by the lightning over and over, but I’ve become strong enough to handle a few bolts, especially in my Item Space.
“Still, these bolts are nothing like the weak ones Sonoran attacked me with. I’m fairly certain that a single one these bolts can kill an A-Rank like Sonoran in an instant. After all, each bolt is incomparably stronger than the last. It’s probably because of the growing Mana in the metal as it compresses. The metal itself is incredibly conductive so of course it’ll attract lightning, but the Mana that keeps growing is what’s really hyping up this storm. Not just the bolts either…”
Even the countless rain drops are forming up and circulating around me and the metal, the strong winds as well. I keep on compressing the metal until I can’t anymore and am left with a ball of pure Thunderium the size of my fists put together. No actually, it isn’t just pure Thunderium, but more than that, it’s so pure that even the Thunderium found in Dungeons can’t compare.
“I can feel it. The Mana inside this thing. The word ’immense’ doesn’t even cut it.”
I then use my newly attained teleportation Spell to go back to the Emerald Beach. My body pixelates and disappears then reappears at the beach.
“Dang, my clothes are all wet and beat up because of that storm.” I use Quadron Element King to conjure out flames and imbue them all around me as steam emerges from my body and my clothes get dried up, then imbue them with Mana to fix their damages.
“There, better.”
I then put the ball of pure Thunderium back in the Dragon Furnace and melt it down again. Then I make the Everchanging Anvil to form a hole in the shape of First Dawn, only a tad over a millimeter wider. I then conjure out First Dawn and pour all the molten Thunderium in the hole in the anvil after placing First Dawn in it first. Seeing as it starts to overflow, I imbue Mana into it and the blade so that it absorbs all of it without leaving a single drop behind. The blade then starts absorbing the molten Thunderium completely.
I wait for about thirty minutes while planning where and how I’ll build my smithy when I do.
“Yeah…that might work.”
I pull First Dawn out of the Everchanging Anvil after it finishes absorbing the Thunderium.
“Now then, time to wake up, FIRST DAWN!”
