Chapter 48 Sudden Panic

“Many thanks,” Wang Feng said and then took off into a sprint, running past the entrance.

In the booth, the guard shook his head, thinking that perhaps it was just lovers’ quarrel between those two.

However, when the guard glanced towards Wang Feng, he was so shocked by what he saw that he dropped his cigarette onto his pants.

“Holy shit… Nah. What I saw can’t be real,” he muttered in fright. It completely escaped him that the butt of the cigarette was burning a huge hole in his pants.

Right now, Wang Feng’s heart was overwhelmed with apprehension. Nothing else mattered to him at that moment, so he ran at his full speed.

He was merely a common thug before he began his training in the art of Qi Gathering. Sure, he had pretty decent stamina back then, but it was still a far cry from what he could do after his training. “Hehe. Can’t believe I’ve gotten my hands on such a beauty today. Looks like I don’t have to f*ck a corpse this time,” came the eerie voice of her abductor, a man dressed entirely in black. Bei Yunxue’s face grew pale upon hearing that voice.

Because she had already figured out who the man was. Tang Airou had warned her about the psycho killer just yesterday. She could not believe that she had run into him today.

Her heart was filled to the brim with fear. Wang Feng’s figure popped into her mind instantly.

“Am I really going to be raped today?” She thought as a streak of tearing escaped from the corner of her eye.

There was only one thing she could think of if she did end up being violated: ending her life, since she could not live with the shame.

“Hehe. Don’t cry, pretty face. I’ll give you some good loving later,” said the man dressed in black. Amidst his endless laughter, she noticed the lewdness radiating from his eyes.

“Get the hell off me,” Bei Yunxue said, shoving the man suddenly.

Taken by surprise, the man lost his balance and fell on his butt. Bei Yunxue took the opportunity and clambered to her feet. She tried to run.

The man was quicker, however. Before she could run, his knife was once again at her throat.

“If you don’t play along, don’t blame me if I kill you and then rape you,” the man said in a tone that bespoke his humiliation. That voice had instantly subdued Bei Yunxue’s attempt to escape.

“Kill me, then.” Bei Yunxue closed her eyes as despair filled her heart.

She understood that she was fated to be raped today. She thought she might as well just die.

“Hehe. Such a gorgeous babe like you? Nah. It’d be a waste to kill you. At least let me play with you first,” the man said, laughing lewdly. After that, he said in a cold voice, “Take off your clothes.”

His voice was extremely cold, as if he would slit Bei Yunxue’s throat with the knife at the first sign of disobedience.

A sorrowful laugh escaped Bei Yunxue’s lips. “Just kill me,” she said pathetically.

A thought popped up in Bei Yunxue’s mind, “Wang Feng, I’m so sorry.” Then she closed her eyes, surrendering herself to despair.

She thought about the moments she had spent with Wang Feng recently. Despite its brevity, the time she had spent with him evoked an unprecedented warmth within her heart. She knew that she had fallen in love with Wang Feng.

Now, she no longer had the chance to be with Wang Feng. “In the next life, then…” She thought.

The only thing she wished for right now was her own death.

“Hehe. Since you’re not going to take it off, why don’t I help you,” said the man. He laughed and pushed Bei Yunxue, causing her to fall into a sitting position on the ground.

Bei Yunxue felt the metal of the knife pushing against her chest.

The knife sliced through her shirt, splitting it wide open.

“Haha. Top quality indeed.” The man felt the rush of blood in his entire body when he saw Bei Yunxue’s nakedness through the split.

He had played with a lot of women before, though none of those women had made him feel as excited as he did now. He would gladly trade this experience for a decade of his life.

“Little beauty, today you are mine,” the man said, laughing. Then he reached out a hand to touch her.

“Goodbye, Wang Feng!” Bei Yunxue eyes were filled with tears. She knew that she was finished.

Right now, her heart was filled with only one thought: biting down her own tongue in a suicide attempt.

Too bad she had never made her feelings clear to Wang Feng. She had not even given him her body yet, either. At the thought, the corner of her lips twisted into a sardonic smile.

Perhaps this was fate.

A roar sounded from the end of the alley just when she was teetering on the edge of death. After that, Bei Yunxue felt the weight easing off her body; the man dressed in black who had been pressing on top of her body flew off like a cannon ball.

“Sister Xue, are you okay?” Appearing before Bei Yunxue was the very same man who was constantly on her mind every day from morning till night, the man whose face was now filled with panic as he stared down at her. It was Wang Feng.

Wang Feng’s face was bloodlessly pale. All his calm and poise had transformed into panic. Never before in his life had he experienced an emotion like this.

Wang Feng noted the look of utter despair on Bei Yunxue’s face. Instantly, he felt a sharp tug in his heart as if he was stabbed by countless knives.

“I’m sorry I’m late, Sister Xue,” Wang Feng said, his voice laced with self-blame and guilt.

Wang Feng pulled Bei Yunxue to her feet and then took off his clothes to cover her. With his X-ray vision, he scanned Bei Yunxue’s body for any signs of injury. Seeing no major injuries, Wang Feng inwardly sighed.

“Thank god the worst didn’t happen,” Wang Feng thought. Still, deep down, Wang Feng was filled with self-blame. If he had arrived even a single step too late, he feared that it would be Bei Yunxue’s dead body that he was staring at right now.

A murderous intent surged within him at the thought. Wang Feng glanced at the man whom he had sent flying off with his kick just moments ago.

In that moment, the man in black was getting back up to his feet while holding his chest. That kick had nearly stopped his breathing altogether.

Good thing he was physically tough. Or else, it was likely that he would not be standing up right now.

“Hey, brat. Know your place and hand over the woman. Otherwise, you’ll be getting out of here in a body bag,” the man said threateningly, brandishing the knife in his hand.

“Haha. Oh, we shall see who’s the one leaving in a body bag,” Wang Feng said, sneering coldly at him. He leaned Bei Yunxue against the wall and said to her, “Sister Xue. Wait for me here. I will pay him back for what he did to you.”

“Don’t go,” Bei Yunxue said, clutching at Wang Feng’s arm. An iota of worry formed amidst the paleness and hopelessness on her face.

“Don’t worry. I told you before that I won’t let any harm done to you. I’ll be fine.” The smile on Wang Feng’s face right now was decidedly uglier than a crying face. Slowly, Wang Feng eased Bei Yunxue’s hand off his arm.

“Humph. You son of a b*tch. Don’t think you can play the hero just because you know a few lame tricks. You’re still too soft,” said the man dressed in black. He thought he could scare Wang Feng off.

At the man’s threat, Wang Feng’s face broke into a grin, revealing two rows of white teeth. “Today is the day I will bring justice upon you,” Wang Feng declared.

“You have a f*ck*ng death wish!” The man burst forward, thrusting the knife at Wang Feng.

The man was very quick. In fact, his techniques would entirely outclass those of a common thug.

Then again, the man was still too slow compared to Wang Feng. Before the knife could stab into Wang Feng, the man felt a sharp pain in his arm. After that, he could no longer feel anything in that arm.

“Want to kill me, is it?” Wang Feng laughed darkly and then he glanced at the knife which was now in his own hand.

“You…” The man faltered. From the moment he saw his own knife in Wang Feng’s hand, he knew that he had hit a real snag today. He was screwed.

The man had always been very confident in his own fighting skills. Otherwise, he would have been caught in the act a long time ago. But it seemed to him that this young man before him was far stronger than he was. His arm was already broken at this point, seeing as he could no longer feel anything in it.

“Having trash like you live in this world is just a waste of the oxygen in the air. Today, I’ll destroy both of your arms.” All of a sudden, Wang Feng burst into action. The man barely had time to react before he felt a cold sensation on his other arm, which was now sporting a long gash.

Wang Feng pulled out his phone. “Hello? Brother He. Can you come down here and help me deal with a guy?” This son of a bitch had tried to violate and harm Bei Yunxue. Wang Feng would be damned if he let him off the hook that easily.

To trash like this, giving him a quick death would be too easy on him.
