Chapter 106: Beautiful.
Kaelis took a deep breath as he removed his cape and placed it on the ground. “Is this really the appropriate place to do it?” he murmured, mostly to himself rather than to Ezra.
“Do you know any other place?” Ezra replied, almost snappish, his face still covered by his hands.
“Attitude,” Kaelis mumbled, though he found it more amusing than insulting that Ezra still managed to be fiery even in his current state.
Omegas usually became very… docile and obedient during their heat.
Of course, from Kaelis’s years of investigation, gathering information from different women, he had actually slept with quite a few.
Omega women, alpha women, and beta women. He had seen them all.
And during an omega woman’s heat, they were usually the most responsive out of all of them.
But then again, biologically, Ezra was a man. A very strong-willed knight, who most likely hadn’t even had sex in his life, so being obedient wouldn’t—
“Don’t forget to use your fingers first,” Ezra mumbled as he slowly pushed himself up from the ground and moved toward the cape Kaelis had laid out.
He began removing his armor, piece by piece, movements slightly unsteady.
Kaelis watched, surprised.
“What?”
“Sex between two men is different. Judging by your expression, you… haven’t experienced it,” Ezra said quietly, his back still turned, hiding his face. There was something strange in his tone.
“And… you have?” Kaelis asked, visibly taken aback.
Ezra didn’t answer.
But that silence was answer enough.
Kaelis almost asked who.
Helios came to mind first. And if it were him… it wouldn’t be that surprising, despite the engagement.
He wanted to ask.
He was curious.
More curious about Ezra now than he had ever been before.
Truth be told, Kaelis had always been curious about him.
Daresay, he had even wanted to befriend Ezra from the moment he first saw him.
Of course… that never worked out.
“I’ll be as gentle as I can,” Kaelis said with a small shrug.
He was casual about this.
Sex, to him, was nothing out of the ordinary.
Just another day.
Sure, it was surprising that it was with Ezra, and even more that Ezra was an omega.
But to Kaelis, there was no reason to treat this any differently.
After a few minutes of silence, Ezra fully removed his armor and began undoing his pants. Kaelis simply watched, his mind running through several thoughts.
Mostly about how to begin.
How they should begin.
Ezra turned to look at Kaelis for the first time in a while, and Kaelis froze.
’Shit.’
No wonder Ezra had been hiding his face.
His expression had changed completely. The heat was clearly taking hold. His eyes looked unfocused, almost needy.
His cheeks were flushed, not just from exertion, but in a way that made it seem almost intentional.
His lips were slightly parted as he breathed heavily, a faint gloss of tears in his eyes.
“Your Highness,” Ezra whispered. “I know this may not be ideal for you, and I know we’ve had our… differences, but something down there is throbbing, and it’s starting to hurt…”
His hands moved, his posture shifting as he looked away again, clearly struggling to keep himself composed.
“…so I really need you right now.”
Kaelis stared at him.
He stared for longer than he should have.
This wasn’t the boldest thing Ezra had said tonight. Ezra had already asked for his help earlier.
But now—
With that tone.
With that expression.
It hit differently.
Kaelis exhaled slowly.
His body reacted before his mind could fully catch up.
There was a tightness in his pants now, and he knew he didn’t want to waste any more time.
Kaelis moved forward.
His boots crunched softly on the forest floor as he closed the distance.
Ezra’s back was still to him, his shoulders tense, the line of his spine visible beneath the thin linen shirt he’d stripped himself down to.
“This isn’t an ideal setting, sure,” Kaelis murmured, his voice low and close to Ezra’s ear. “But I do love how you’re talking to me right now, Captain.”
Something about the great Ezra Belloren showing him this side of himself made him feel…even more excited.
Kaelis didn’t wait for a reply. His arms slid around Ezra’s torso from behind, pulling him close.
“Ah~!” Ezra gasped—a sharp, startled intake of breath—then melted against him, his head lolling back onto Kaelis’s shoulder.
’It’s really surprising how open he’s being to me touching him, though.’
The heat radiating from his body was intense, almost feverish. Kaelis’s hands settled on Ezra’s chest, palms flat against the firm muscle.
’Is it because of his heat?’
He could feel the rapid, frantic heartbeat through the fabric.
’…or something else?’
His fingers began to move, exploring. The linen was damp with sweat.
He traced the contours, finding the raised, pebbled texture of Ezra’s nipples through the shirt. They were hard, sensitive.
“Ah…ah…” A moan escaped Ezra’s lips again as he shuddered when Kaelis brushed over them.
’So he’s the responsive kind.’
Kaelis dipped his head, nuzzling into the space between Ezra’s neck and shoulder. He inhaled deeply.
The scent was overwhelming now, no longer just a faint trail in the air.
It was cinnamon sugar, warm and sweet, but layered with something muskier, more primal—the pheromones of an omega in full heat.
It flooded Kaelis’s senses, making his own pulse quicken, his own skin feel tighter. It was a scent that commanded attention, that pulled at the deepest, most instinctual parts of him.
“You smell incredible,” Kaelis whispered, his lips touching Ezra’s skin. It was hot. “It’s almost nostalgic, Ezra.”
He didn’t know why he said that. It just felt true.
Handling a man, feeling this particular blend of strength and vulnerability, shouldn’t have felt natural.
But with Ezra pressed against him, smelling like that, it did.
His hands grew more…confident.
And a little needy.
He tugged the hem of Ezra’s shirt up, sliding his palms underneath to touch skin directly.
Ezra’s stomach was flat, taut, his skin slick. Kaelis’s thumbs circled his nipples, now bare and exposed. Ezra moaned—a soft, broken sound that was nothing like his usual stern voice.
“Please,” Ezra breathed out, the word trembling. “Your hands… they’re…”
“Tell me,” Kaelis urged, rolling one nipple between his finger and thumb. EzraKaelis’s body moved before his mind could fully process the words. “You know, I’m very inexperienced with handling another man.”
The space between the two great oaks was narrow, intimate. The forest floor was a bed of moss and old leaves, his dark cape the only barrier. He closed the distance in two slow steps.
“You should tell me what you want, Captain,” Kaelis murmured, his voice a low rumble close to Ezra’s ear. “But I do love how you’re talking to me right now.”
His arms slid around Ezra’s torso from behind, pinning the knight’s back against his chest. Ezra shuddered, a full-body tremor that Kaelis felt against his own skin.
He was hot, almost feverish through the thin linen of his undershirt. Kaelis buried his nose in the crook of Ezra’s neck, inhaling deeply.
’I wonder who else knows how good he smells.’
The omega pheromones were a tangible cloud, sweet and spicy, making the air thick, making Kaelis’s head swim with a sudden, possessive hunger.
Ezra’s head lolled back against Kaelis’s shoulder, a soft, broken sound escaping his lips. “Your Highness…”
“Just Kaelis. Here. Now,” Kaelis corrected, his hands moving. He splayed his fingers wide over Ezra’s stomach, feeling the hard muscle there flutter under his touch.
Slowly, he dragged his palms upward, pushing the linen shirt higher. He found the flat planes of Ezra’s chest, the skin surprisingly smooth.
His thumbs brushed over Ezra’s nipples again, and Ezra jolted as if shocked.
They were, as Kaelis had seen, pebbled tight and sensitive. He circled them, feeling the nubs harden further under his attention.
“Ah—!” Ezra’s hand flew up to clamp over his own mouth, stifling the noise.
“Don’t,” Kaelis said, his voice rough. He used one hand to gently pull Ezra’s hand away, lacing their fingers together and lowering their joined hands to Ezra’s stomach. “Let me hear you. I want to know what feels good.”
He pinched a nipple between his thumb and forefinger, rolling it gently.
“Oh God—” Ezra cried out, the sound raw and unfiltered, his back arching.
“To think, you’d be this responsive to just being touched on your chest.” Kaelis teased. “Does your order know how sensitive their captain really is?”
“N-No…”
Kaelis kept one hand busy on Ezra’s chest, teasing and tugging, while the other drifted lower.
He palmed the hard line of Ezra’s cock straining against his trousers, earning another sharp gasp.
He could feel the dampness of pre-come already seeping through the fabric. The need was a palpable pulse against his hand.
“You’re dripping for me already, not just in front but behind,” Kaelis observed, nipping at the shell of Ezra’s ear.
He began working the laces of Ezra’s trousers open, his movements slow, his own cock hardening painfully against the curve of Ezra’s backside. “You said to use my fingers first. Is that what you need?”
Ezra could only nod, his breath coming in ragged pants. “Y-Yes. Please. It… it aches.”
The trousers fully loosened, and Kaelis pushed them down over Ezra’s hips, letting them pool at his feet. He did the same with his own, freeing his erection.
The cool forest air brushed their skin, a stark contrast to the heat building between them.
Kaelis turned Ezra in his arms, wanting to see his face. Ezra’s eyes were glazed, pupils blown wide with need.
“W-Why are…we…should do this with my back turned–”
Tears had tracked through the dirt on his cheeks. He looked utterly wrecked, and it was the most compelling thing Kaelis had ever seen.
“–I know. I just wanted to see you, now on your hands and knees,” Kaelis instructed, his voice leaving no room for argument.
He guided Ezra down until the knight was on his hands and knees atop the dark fabric. The position was animalistic, submissive, and so at odds with the proud man Ezra was.
The sight sent a jolt of pure lust straight to Kaelis’s core.
“Beautiful.”
