Walking on a path of pale green moss was a naked blue-eyed individual.

By his side, holding his hand tightly, was a winged petite girl, barely able to stand properly, as her legs still trembled from the sudden rough sex she’d endured earlier.

Benjamin glanced around casually to find blushing fairies fluttering overhead and along the corridors.

They were still deep inside the enormous living tree-castle, the walls pulsing faintly with pink sap-light.

Benjamin met her gaze for a second, then glanced shyly away, his cheeks blooming a soft red that made his androgynous features look even younger.

Isabelle felt her heart throb painfully at the action—cute and unguarded, and nearly childish—but she pressed on anyway.

“But how is that possible? Lady Vaelora has no form, and is a spirit living inside Queen Titania.”

“Ah, about that,” Benjamin said casually as they reached the foot of the stairs, “I created a body for her to possess. I think it was one of the major reasons I collapsed.”

“I want to ask why you’d have sex after doing something so monumental,” Isabelle wiped a bead of sweat from her brow—half from fear-surprise, half from the sheer absurdity. “But more importantly, how did you manage such a feat? Benjamin, were you a god all along?”

“Haha! You’re cute when you try to be funny too, Isabelle,” Benjamin laughed heartily and used his free arm to pull her gently against his side, her cheek pressing briefly to his bare side. “It was not THAT big of a deal. Yeah, I did share my organs and magic with her, but she had to stabilize herself into the form.”

Her green lashes began to flutter rapidly as a deep blush spread across her cheeks and the tips of her slightly pointed ears. “You see… I… I love you,” she whispered, voice trembling with sudden vulnerability, “a-and I would hate it for you to be hurt… not even a little bit…”

Benjamin glanced down at her, with his blue eyes softening instantly.

Then he smiled that warm, easy smile that always made her heart stutter, and slid both arms under her armpits.

In one smooth, effortless motion he lifted her up like she weighed nothing, raising her small body until their noses were almost touching, her wings fluttering uselessly in surprise.

He pressed her gently but firmly against the vined wall right next to Titania’s ornate door—cool living wood against her back, warm skin against his chest.

“Listen to me, Isabelle,” he breathed directly into her ear, voice low and steady, hot breath brushing the sensitive shell and making her shiver from head to toe.

Her blush deepened to a vivid rose that crept down her neck. “Hngh! Y… Yes?”

“For you all… For your sakes, I will always remain,” his blue eyes flashed bright against her wide green ones, holding her gaze without blinking. “Rest assured that I will be like the sun, the moon, the rain… I am going to be everlasting. I can only do this because I love you all. I don’t think I will get hurt anytime soon.”

Then he lowered her gently back to her feet, keeping one hand on her waist for balance as they turned toward the door.

Isabelle pushed the massive carved doors open with both hands, the living wood parting smoothly on silent hinges, and Benjamin strode in right behind her.

“Hey, Tania~” he called out cheerfully, already grinning as he prepared to show off whatever surprise he’d been holding onto. “Check this out; I can show you these… Huh?”

He trailed off mid-sentence.

The elaborate, cavernous room stretched out before them—pink sap-veins pulsing softly along the walls, petal-stuffed cushions scattered across the floor, vines draping from the high canopy ceiling like elegant curtains, stuffed toys arranged neatly in their usual rows—but it was completely empty.

The silver-haired queen supposed to be lounging on the massive bed wasn’t there. There was no petite form curled among the pillows.

Isabelle looked around too, blinking in confusion as she took in the same vacant space.

“Oh,” she said after a moment, turning back to face Benjamin. “We were having sex for so long, she must’ve left to attend to something.”

She paused as she turned, but now startled all over again by the expression on his face.
