“You shouldn’t forget you’re also hungry, Arinya,” Fenric said and I turned my head, only for my lips to meet the meat he picked up. “Say ah,” he said and I opened my mouth.

It tasted good, albeit cold, still good.

Way better than raw meat.

So, that’s how we did it.

I fed Damar using the excuse that he hurt his hand, Fenric fed me, while also putting a few in his mouth, and before long, we were done with the cold meat and even the meat we newly placed on the grill.

This time, however, I fed both of them after picking them up with the sticks and blowing on them.

I watched them eat happily and they highlighted the evening.
