Ishiki sat with wide eyes and flipped through the diary pages from the latest entry and backwards from there.

There were a few things that he noted—Firstly the diary was being written once a week, maybe on one of the so called holidays of this world.

Second that there was something unusual with them as if after a certain point they didn’t make any sense. Perhaps the person writing had bad memory or was brain washed.

He continued to flip through the pages until he came across a very strange thing. It was not too old entry… just about one and a half year ago.

The thing that made him stop at that page was the absence of a date. The page was marked with only a year… besides it the date was scribbled out to make it unreadable.

Suspicious now, Ishiki began reading the entry itself.

But not to be mistaken, this step was akin to just a drop in the ocean there was still a lot that needed to be explained. But at least he knew something now.

’So, The synth reactor tier can be advanced by completing more trials. Completing the first trial would advance it from None to Innate. Then after completing the second trial it would further advance to Adept.’

He summarized his thoughts and then added another knowledge to this.

His thoughts were suddenly much more certain and they had a way to move to. He felt as if his coming to his place was a huge success.

Concealing his excitement Ishiki continued to read further, in hopes of finding more pieces to this puzzle of truth in this diary.

I also suspect that this is the future that i have been waken up to. But since I cannot die until the Emperor commands, it is a bit strange.

This part was a little tricky, but not so much for Ishiki. The first thing is that the High Priest who wrote this was also an echo constructed from his own memories.
