Tharank conjured an ice spread and hurled it towards the Dragon Chief, but there was no effect. He grabbed it with his bare hand and it melted instantly.

He crouched under different elemental attacks from the other Chiefs and touched the ground.

He took a handful of the blood red snow in his hand and sniffed it, a ridiculous grin covered his face as his body grew in size, his horns elongated and bent backwards and his whole body got covered with shiny black scales.

“So you rats finally got the courage to face me.” He said as he flapped his wings and hovered towards the incoming group.

“Brace for impact!” The Bear Chief said as he jumped forward with his shield raised to block him.

BANG!

The Bear Chief was sent flying over the heads of the other Chiefs with a single strike from him. He flipped in mid air and landed on his feet.

“That is not enough to kill me you old fool.” The Bear Chief sneered and came running back.

“Hah, you fat old fool you groveled at my feet to let your children go and now you try to fight me in the name of justice?” The Dragon Chief said and pushed himself forward with his feet.

Despite his size, his speed was high. The Tiger and Deer Chiefs never saw him coming as both were flung into the air with just one swing of his hands.

Xior looked at that and lowered his body and shouldered him, Tharnak saw it and did the same. The Dragon Chief staggered enough for the Lion chief to smack his face with his claws.

Blood fell on Xior’s back as he was holding back him with Tharnak. Both of them let go as the Dragon Chief stomped on the ground hard cracking it.

“So now cats will hurt their master, I see. I never really wanted to hurt any of you. If only you guys had listened and accepted the proposal of the Nameless today we wouldn’t be here fighting.” He said and shot fireballs towards the group and closed the gaps.

He kneed Tharnak and blocked Alice’s spear with his scale.

She twisted her body and attacked him once more but he blocked it this time, one hand grabbed Alice’s arm and the other broke the tip of the spear.

For Xior time slowed down as he saw the Dragon Chief aiming the spear tip towards Alice. His breathing quickened as he lunged forward to guard her.

The sound of flesh ripping apart was heard but the spear tip Alice had accepted never came. In front of her Xior stood with the spear tip stabbed through his abdomen.

Xior grabbed the wrist of the dragon chief took a deep breath, then he shot fire at his face.

“Hahaha! Child of the End do you think fire will hurt me? Your fire is way weaker than mine, this didn’t even tingle.” He said as he charged up his own breath.

Xior pushed Alice away as he got burned by the dragons chiefs fire. His body broke down and he turned to ash.

“Not even he can come back from ashes, now who else wants to become ashes?”

No sound came just a scream was heard. Becca fell on her knees and screamed, “Xior!”

The Dragon Chief noticed her wailing and turned towards her, he looked at her and then the same grin covered his whole face.

“Was he your mate?” He asked as he blocked the other chiefs and beat them down to the ground.

“N-no.” Becca replied as she back away.

“Don’t be sacred, I won’t hurt you. How about I become your mate? I’ve been wanting to have a human wife right now.”

The Dragon Chiefs words made Becca disgusted to the point she would puke. Mate and him? She couldn’t believe the words she just heard.

But seeing as he was the man who burned down Xior, she would die than to be his mate so she said in a loud and stern voice, “No.”

“Your grief makes you beautiful. Why waste it on a corpse? I could make you mine.” He said.

Becca didn’t reply, she just spat at his face.

Her declaration caused an uproar among the distance. The Dragon Chiefs head boiled with anger and he moved his claw to rip apart Becca.

But his claw never touched Becca, In front of her stood a person she respected and admired. It was none other than Rain, though missing his left arm as the Dragon Chief ripped it off.

Rain engaged in combat with the Chief the instant he joined the battle. He swung his sword and hit the hard scales of the chief but didn’t give up. Every swing, every cut and every stab on the scales started to crack them.

The Chiefs saw that and jumped back in the fight, when he was fighting ten people at the same time often he couldn’t keep up.

When he blocked Tharnak’s attacks, Rain attacked him ensuring they don’t let the vulnerability windows go away.

He was bombarded with multiple attacks, punches, kicks, elemental attacks…everything. They had started to push him back.

Just behind them the ash was constantly moving, the grains of ash combining with each other, Xior stood up from his fetal position, buck naked as his healing finished.

He took out pants from his inventory and jumped back in the fight.

From behind he tackled the chief and made him fall down. He got on top of his and just like Tharnak smashed his face to a pulp.

He roared and threw Xior in the air and flapped his wings to take him higher into the end. Xior headbutted him in mid air and bit his ear hard and pulled it off with his teeth. He was fighting like a madman, desperate for peace. The Chief clawed Xior’s whole body but he endured the pain and let it heal quickly.

The rest of the Chiefs saw their fight in the air, Xior’s eyes were the same but every punch, kick and magic spell he used, there was a different emotion in them.

One full of hatred, the Dragon Chief kept flying higher and higher but Xior had enough. He locked his legs around the chiefs neck and pushed hard suffocating him.

The Dragon Chiefs oxygen was cut off and he lost the strength to keep on flying. Xior was in such a position that it would be hard to let go and so both came down crashing into the side of the mountain.
