Chapter 78: The Sorrow Of A Millenia[3]

It was winter again, a year had passed. Acheron, now taller than before, was shackled and kept inside a cell.

The last thing she remembered was that the elves kidnapped her, took her from one hell and put her into another one, though not as bad as the previous one.

The elven healers healed her body, and they at least gave her food albeit after a few days, but she didn’t mind.

She was nothing but a captive they took in to have an advantage over the humans. The grudge between the two races was a long one, both hated each other and wanted to up one another all the time.

But they too treated her life as a “thing”, not a human. The cell had little light, water dripped down from the roof and rats scurried all around her.

It had been about four days since she was last given food, her stomach. She was thirsty as well but that issue was resolved by the water that dripped from the roof.

She opened her mouth and tilted her head backwards and let the slow drops of water into her mouth.

She stayed in that position for half an hour and then lowered her head. ’Why are they late this time.’ She thought as she leaned on the cold wall behind her.

The elves gave her a white gown which by now was short for her and only went down to her knees as opposed to going down to her feet.

It was also full of stains from the dirt on the ground. But at least she had something which covered her malnourished body against the cold wind.

Her stomach ached from having not eaten anything for days now, she looked at the water that dropped in front of her, the light which came from holes in the roof and the rats which scurried around her.

She stared at them, her eyes moved as they moved. Then she lunged her hands forward and grabbed one of the rats. It tried to move and free itself from her grip but she was hungry and hunger makes people do things which they don’t normally do.

The rat squeaked as her grip increased, its soul left its body as it went limp. Her hands trembled as she brought the rat to her mouth and took a bite.

She immediately puked out everything she had eaten in the past week, she coughed hard. The taste was disgusting, even its blood tasted bad.

But the sounds her stomach was making made her pick up the rat once again, she mustered up courage and took another bite.

She wanted to throw up again but she endured and swallowed it, it was the first time she did that.

Hours passed and the number of rats decreased, leftovers from the others littered the ground, her face and hands were full of blood.

She wanted to cry, but no tears came out of her eyes. Her emotions had been suppressed so much that she forgot how to smile and to cry.

It was night now, the cell was enveloped by darkness. She looked at the night sky through the hole in the roof.

Then the door of her cell opened with a wild swing. Five elves, fat and who stinked really badly, entered the cell.

They had a weird look in their eyes, it was disgusting, it made her scared, and her whole body shuddered.

One of them showed his long tongue and licked his own lips as if she was not a human but food for them to eat, to savor.

Her breathing quickened, her instincts told her to run away but she was bound by chains. The men broke off the chains and pulled her arm to bring her closer.

They were taller than her, much taller and they all looked down at her with eyes full of lust. She wanted to run away, she wanted to scream for help but she knew all too well there was no one who would help her.

The only people who did were her parents, and her mother was dead while her father’s condition was unknown.

As the man in the front extended his hand to touch her, something snapped inside of her. Her mind went blank, the agony she had lived in fueled her anger, her nails grew slightly and she drove her hand into the man’s stomach and pulled it out.

His liver came out, still in her hand, the man groaned and tried to hit her but she dodged the strike.

Adrenaline made her unstable, she attacked them mercilessly, her nails cut them, the men started to fall one by one.

One managed to hit her head with a piece of metal but it did nothing, her head bled and blood covered her eyes.

She looked at him, her gaze sharp as a knife made him back up. Her hair started to turn white from the head and there was a crimson glint in her eyes.

He lunged forward and ripped the man’s face apart with her nails, he screamed but she didn’t stop. At last she was done.

She slaughtered the men who were going to take advantage of her with her own two hands. The blood hardened inside her nails, her white gown was now painted red.

He staggered and limped outside as the door was still open. Snow covered the area around her.

Guards saw her come out of the prison area and tried to attack her but they all were met with the same fate.

Their hearts clawed out, their stomach punctured and their throat slashed apart. No one could stop her.

She saw the main palace of the elves, the strength in her legs diminished with each step yet she didn’t give up.

The world was cruel to her, all she ever wanted to do was drink blood, yes blood. She remembered how much she wanted to drink blood.

As the guards attacked her and died by her hand, she squeezed their hearts over her mouth and let the blood drop into her mouth.

In the distance was a large door, guards stood outside it, about a dozen as they looked at how she drank the blood from a guard she had just killed.

Then she tilted her head towards them, her eyes now fully crimson red glowed and made them take a step back.
