Her ears twitched—those cute dark-elf ears that always gave her away—and she turned a deeper shade of crimson than my ribbons.

“Ara~ But you love it,” I teased, blowing her a kiss. “Admit it—your nipples were harder than those daggers.”

“You dark elf, why?!” the leader stammered, a look of disbelief on his face. “What are you doing?! Helping the enemy?!”

Ves responded by throwing two wind blades at him, one after the other. He blocked the first with a hastily erected shield, but the second sliced through it and cut deep into his shoulder.

“I am not helping the enemy,” Ves said, her tone cold as ice. “I am cleaning up the trash.”

She then dashed forward, her movements a blur, her daggers a whirlwind of death.

In less than a minute, it was over.

All six mages lay dead, their bodies torn apart by wind and steel.

“Impressive,” I admitted, genuinely impressed. “You’re stronger than I thought.”

“Shut up,” she snapped, wiping blood off her daggers on a dead mage’s robes. “Let’s just get this over with.”

“Hehe… You’re not having fun?” I teased, stepping over the bodies. “Don’t worry, big sis Morgana will take care of you later.”

“…”

She didn’t reply, but her cheeks turned a darker shade of crimson.

We reached a large, circular chamber. The walls were lined with ancient tapestries depicting scenes of elven history. In the center of the room, there was a large, ornate door, made of what looked like solid moonlight, its surface shimmering with an otherworldly glow.

“This is the entrance to the royal sanctum,” Vespera said, her voice low. “Only the Queen and the High Council can open it.”

“Is that so?” I replied, a sly grin spreading across my face. “I think I’ll make an exception.”

I walked to the door.

“Stop! You can’t just—” Vespera started, but I cut her off.

The door didn’t just open, it shattered, exploding into a million shards of light.

Vespera stared, her jaw on the floor.

“I… you…” she stammered, her mind struggling to process what just happened. “The… the wards… the ancient enchantments…”

“Wards? Enchantments?” I chuckled, stepping through the now-empty doorway. “Heh… A virgin’s hymen is harder to break.”

Vespera didn’t know how to respond to that. Her mind just went blank, and her face turned a shade of red that would make a tomato jealous.

I entered the sanctum.

And on that throne sat the demon god.

He was holding the world tree staff, its gnarled wood glowing with a faint, green light. He looked terrified, his emerald eyes wide with fear, his body trembling.

Behind the throne was a huge ten-meter-tall crystal, humming with immense power. The power source.

And behind the crystal were three cages, the same ones that held white stag, unicorn, and hippogriff.

The demon god must have brought them here for round two.

“You… you… ” You broke the door,” the demon god stammered, his voice a high-pitched squeak. “That’s… that’s impossible.”

“I do the impossible every day before breakfast,” I replied, my smile widening. “Now, why are you sitting on my friend’s throne?”

“Y-your friend?” the demon god blinked in confusion. “You and the queen… friends?”

“Yeah,” I nodded, my tone casual. “We fucked… so we are friends.”

“…”

The demon god’s brain seemed to short-circuit. He couldn’t comprehend it. The terror he felt, the casualness of my tone, the sheer absurdity of the situation—it was too much.

“W-what do you want?” he finally managed to ask, his voice trembling.

“I want answers,” I said, my tone shifting from playful to serious. “First, who are you? And second, what do you know about me?”

“I… ” he hesitated, his eyes darting towards the crystal behind him. He was planning something. “I am… I am a nameless god. A wanderer. I know nothing of you.”

“Hehe… lying to me?” I chuckled, shaking my head. “Not a smart move.”

I took a step forward.

“STAY BACK!” the demon god roared, raising the world tree staff.

A wave of green energy erupted from the staff, washing over me.

“…” I just stood there, my arms crossed, my expression bored.

However, I underestimated the power of a staff that came from the world tree itself.

The energy washed over me, and for a split second, I felt something—a tiny, insignificant prick of energy that managed to pierce through my living armor.

Crack!

My armor had a tiny crack on it.

“Eh?” Both the demon god and I were surprised. Vespera’s jaw was on the floor.

“H-How?!” the demon god stammered, a flicker of hope in his eyes.

A pillar of green light erupted from the staff, shooting straight up to the ceiling. The entire room shook, the crystal walls humming with an unbearable energy.

“Hehe… YES! THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE POWER OF THE WORLD TREE!” he roared, Sylvana’s body swelling, the dark-red skin from the demonic transformation returning, now pulsating with a raw, untamed power.

He was getting stronger, a lot stronger, but also more unstable.

He turned to me, his eyes burning with a mix of madness and terror.

“DIE!”

He slammed the staff on the ground, but instead of a beam of energy—

Pfftt!

Blood burst from his mouth.

“Eh?…” He looked at his trembling hands, black veins spreading across Sylvana’s arms like a disease. “W-what… is happening… to me…?”

“Hehe…” I chuckled, shaking my head. “Fool.”

He didn’t understand, only staring at me in confusion, but when I raised a finger pointing to his right, he finally got it.

“YOU!!!”

The three beasts… one of them was fake.

“AHHHHH!” he screamed in rage and pain, the raw, chaotic power of the world tree clashing with the elven poison and the demonic essence within him.

He was a ticking bomb.

And the timer was running out.

“It’s over,” I said, taking a step forward. A blood sword materialized in my hand, its form shifting and writhing as if alive. “Time to die.”
