If it had been before, Kai definitely wouldn’t have been able to help anyone become head of the Aurelius family, because the decisive factor back then was which heir could generate the most profit.

When Selene heard about Kai’s continuous words explaining his capability and potential, even to the point that he was confident he could help his father to become the family head, she instantly became serious and thought about it for almost half a minute.

“Of course, if your uncles and aunties offered me a much better condition, I might even help them instead. But, under the condition that their offers are much better compared to your father’s. I’m not an ungrateful person, so I definitely would prefer to help someone who had helped me when I needed it.” Kai explained with a calm expression.

“The choice is yours.” Kai leaned back, letting her think.

Kai thought that from such a high price at the start, he would be able to reach his goal at the end of the deal.

“This… I’m sorry, but even I hold only about one percent of the shares,” Selene admitted, scratching her head.

“So little?” Kai murmured. He began to worry the penthouse might be out of reach as he’d heard it was worth millions.

He then asked casually, as he was really curious about how much their net worth was, “By the way, what’s the Aurelius Group’s net worth?”

Selene looked at him with a weird expression before answering it casually. “Roughly three hundred billion dollars.”

Kai spewed his water, crushed the cup in shock, and splashed Selene in the process.

She said that she owned around 1%, which meant that her wealth alone was around 3 billion dollars.

‘Should I rob her since she’s an easy target?’ Kai shook his head and calmed himself down once again as his greed just took him over for a second.

“As I said before, it’s negotiable.” Kai smiled and continued, “You could pay in another form, like this apartment. For example, you could just give your—”

Before Kai could finish his sentence, Selene interrupted him with an anticipatory expression. “What about I give the entire Celestine Apartment to you as payment? It’s under my name, so I can do as I plea—”

Kai spat a whole mouthful of water once again, as he was shocked that Selene intended to give him the whole building just like that, as if it was nothing.

Truth be told, Kai was about to say that you could just give your penthouse and a few rooms to him, and he would be more than happy to take it.

“You’re right. For example, you could just give your apartment to me like this.” Kai immediately smashed the entire table, crushing it instantly together with the cup in his hand.

“Apologies. My stupid undead subordinate just made another problem that enrages me.” Kai helped Selene once again in wiping the water on her face.

Kai coughed as he accidentally looked below and saw the wet, voluptuous body.

“Anyway, I don’t mind you giving me this Celestine Apartment as payment.” Kai looked away and stood upright.

He continued while walking toward the lobby. “We’ll handle the property transfer tomorrow—I’m busy today.”

“Alright, tomorrow it is.” Selene replied with a smile as she was extremely happy inside because she was able to hire Kai with a mere Celestine Apartment.

Meanwhile, Kai was also in an extremely good mood, thinking of how much wealth he owns from being the owner of this Celestine Apartment.

After a few seconds, Kai immediately walked back towards Selene because he forgot to ask how much the Celestine Apartment was worth.

“I’d say a bit over two hundred million dollars,” she estimated, putting her fingers on her chin while calculating its worth.

Kai appeared once again and reminded her with a serious expression. “Don’t tell such embarrassing things to others. Otherwise our deal will be annulled!”

He then patted her head softly and disappeared once again.
