When Senior Yu came back to the martial arts school, he saw Chen Chuan’s car, and took a good, long look at it.

“Wow. A modified car from Jiade?”

He circled it with eyes full of admiration and envy. He had always wanted this sort of car.

Unfortunately, due to the location of the martial arts school, the car he bought would end up in someone else’s hands by the end of the day. Because of this, he only entertained the thought and never bought it.

He noticed a slightly raised disc on the car lock, and his eyes zeroed in on it. “Is that… a heavy rotating disc?”

He put his hand on it before shaking his head. Incredible finger strength was required to turn the disc, and Senior Yu couldn’t do it. The owner of the car was definitely a powerful martial artist.

Why would someone like that come here?

He cast a glance at the martial arts school before turning his ear toward the door. As he concentrated, he heard the sounds of fighting from within. Based on how the air howled, he could tell that it wasn’t the kids.

His expression turned dark, and he removed the clasp around the chains on his arm, then fixed the heavy steel ball on them before hurrying in.

At this point, Senior Yu could tell that they were just sparring, so he put away his weapon, even though he was still surprised.

Lu Fang had sparred against him before, and he wasn’t that much weaker than he was. Still, Senior Yu could tell that if they fought in a battle to the death, he might not be able to win against Lu Fang.

And that was in the past.

Lu Fang was a hard worker. Aside from teaching, he used the rest of his time training and polishing his skills. He woke up the earliest of the three of them and was the last to go to bed. His martial arts skills should have improved, but he wasn’t able to even scratch the teenager’s hair.

Senior Yu took a closer look at the teenager, and he trembled in shock.

But every person was different. While a general-purpose breathing technique could give attention to most parts of the body, it was not suited for everyone, so they needed to make adjustments on their own.

For example, Chen Chuan had been making conscious adjustments from the start. The general direction of the breathing technique was fine, so there wasn’t any need to make adjustments to that, but after tweaking the minor details, it had become tailored specifically to him.

He was sure that Lu Fang could figure it out on his own eventually, but that would take a long time. Now that Chen Chuan had told him about it, he could take a lot of shortcuts.

Lecturers and mentors were there to guide their students and mentees down the right direction. They helped them skip the trial-and-error phases and take the straight path forward. Because of it, they could make full use of their period of rapid growth.

A martial artist’s golden period of growth did not last forever. If they spent it wondering how to fix everything, it would go to waste, and they wouldn’t be able to bring out their potential. They would then never be able to reach greater heights.

While Chen Chuan was giving Lu Fang tips, Senior Yu watched them. Chen Chuan didn’t try to avoid him. All that he said was going to be useless to others even if they overheard it. But he did notice the longing look in Senior Yu’s eyes.

Once Lu Fang listened to all of Chen Chuan’s tips, he came out of his contemplative silence and noticed that Senior Yu was standing by the side. He immediately made introductions. “Chen Chuan, this is Senior Yu. Senior Guo and him took me in when I came to Central City.”

Then, he turned to Senior Yu. “Senior Yu, this is Chen Chuan, the junior I was talking about.”

Senior Yu smiled and walked over. “Well met. Lu Fang has often talked about you.”

Chen Chuan watched him for a moment before saying, “Sorry for dropping by without notice today. I’m sure I’m bothering you two. Since you’re here, would you like to spar as well?”

“Can I, too?” Senior Yu’s face shone with delight. As if worried that Chen Chuan would change his mind, he hurriedly nodded. “Yes!”

While Chen Chuan was guiding him, Senior Guo came back as well. Since it made no difference to Chen Chuan whether he taught one or three people, Senior Guo also learned a lot from sparring against him.

Despite being able to tell that these two had ulterior motives, Chen Chuan didn’t have any biases against them.

It was basically impossible to find one with just this bit of money. Today, they had ridden on Lu Fang’s coattails. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to even meet someone like Chen Chuan.

They parted ways after dinner, and Lu Fang sent Chen Chuan off.

As Senior Yu watched them leave, he lamented, “I’ve finally learned just how powerful Third Limit martial artists are. Even when we were students, no lecturer was able to so accurately point out our problems.”

“Yes, but I think that it’s not because our lecturers weren’t any good. It’s simply because Chen Chuan is too good,” Senior Guo said.

The other one was a loyal servant of Zhao Qian. Once he realized that he couldn’t defeat Lu Fang and Shi Yi, he refused to eat or drink, and passed away within half a month. They buried him in the backyard.

“I won’t give up on looking for Shen Zheng’s sister. I’m not strong enough right now, but once I am, I’ll find her,” Lu Fang declared.

Chen Chuan nodded at that.

“See you later, then.” He opened the car door, got inside, and drove into the sea of dazzling lights of the Central City as Lu Fang watched.
