Once he was back in his room, Chen Chuan put the Frost King Saber on the stand, washed up, changed into a new set of clothes, and returned to the living room. He had intended to read some news from the niche channel before going to bed, but at that moment, he saw a box in the corner of the room.

He had been so focused on taking the pills and training the past few days that he had forgotten all about it.

Honestly, he did not expect the Secret Python Cult to give him anything good, which was why he didn’t think much of it. Since he had time now, he could check what was inside.

He went over and put the box on the table before unlocking and opening the lid. Inside, he saw a rather tightly sealed package.

Chen Chuan thought about it. Since he had already received the egg, there was no reason for him to get another gift in exchange. So, he asked what was inside and how he was to get it to hatch.

“But over the past three years, all our bioeggs have been made to hatch after being put in a place with a constant temperature of forty degrees Celsius for around thirty days. Since you don’t have a place to hatch the egg and to make up for our mistake, we’ll send an incubator to you.”

“Let’s go with that, then,” Chen Chuan said.

“Since you’ve contacted us, I’d like to tell you something too. The date for your service has been set. You can receive it anytime starting from the day after tomorrow. When would you like to have it done?” Zuo Handan then asked.

“The day after tomorrow, please,” Chen Chuan answered without hesitation.

Zuo Handan immediately sent a location and process description to him before saying that once Chen Chuan arrived, they would send someone to pick him up.

After the call with Zuo Handan, Chen Chuan cast a glance at the egg. He didn’t remove the biofilm and just put the egg back into its box. He would deal with it after the incubator arrived.

With that done, he returned to the sofa and turned on the niche channel, only to find that most of the discussions were about the news article he read earlier. Everyone was talking about whether Wei Wusheng was behind it.

As usual, Dancing On A Cap spoke up. He believed that while the victim had been a passenger on Rhinoceros’ Horn and the murder method was similar to that of Wei Wusheng, the murderer was probably not him.

Each of them had a simple description and record of their achievements.

It was highly likely that whoever uploaded this got the list of passengers from Rhinoceros’ Horn itself.

The deceased ones had their names crossed out with black lines. Chen Chuan took a look and found that more than twenty people had died without him even noticing. Some of them had died at Wei Wusheng’s hands, while others’ deaths were more contentious.

If the murders continued at this speed, Wei Wusheng would come knocking at his door soon.

Chen Chuan cast a glance at Wei Wusheng’s photo at the top left corner of his screen. After some thinking, he turned off his Realm Pass and went to bed.

Just like last time, Chen Chuan said that he would think about it instead of giving a clear-cut answer.

From this, Fan Qingshan determined that Chen Chuan believed that he hadn’t reached his limit yet, but if he wasn’t offered a good deal, he was unlikely to take all the pills back to back.

After some consideration, he said to the person, “Let me talk to him personally.”

Fan Qingshan relaxed at that. The amount of medicine offered was nothing to Green Satchel Pharmacy, but by doing this, they could get valuable drug test data. This was a win-win situation.

“Here’s to a successful partnership,” he said.

Once the call ended, he immediately gave an order to the employee in charge of this. “When Chen Chuan sends his report, bring it to me immediately.”

On the thirty-first, Chen Chuan left the Arcane Palace early in the morning and drove on the flyover to the Secret Python Cult’s base.

The cult didn’t have a company building. Its headquarters were instead located in Split Waves Valley, Grand Morals District. Morning Harvest Lake, the largest inland lake in Central City, was located here, and the upper-class and middle-class of the city often came here to relax.

After arriving at the designated parking lot, Chen Chuan contacted Zuo Handan. In just two minutes, a young woman in her early twenties came over in a tourist cart.

She wore simple, white ancient robes that revealed her slender neck. Ribbons tied her hair and waist, while her neck, the back of her hands, and calves had clear embedded lines belonging to implants.

Once she got out of the tourist cart, she stopped in front of Chen Chuan and curtsied to him. “Hello, Mr. Chen. I’m Lin Yingzi, Mr. Zuo’s assistant, and I’m in charge of making arrangements for your service and also for leading you around. Please get in.”

Chen Chuan nodded and went to the tourist cart. Once they left the valley, they saw the endless, sparkling Morning Harvest Lake.

The weather was great. There was ample sunlight, and it was neither hot nor cold. As Chen Chuan felt the cooling breeze blowing against him from the lake, the tourist cart drove down the road along the lake before entering a shady road covered by trees. Immediately, Chen Chuan was enveloped by an even greater cooling air.

When he heard chirping, he looked over and saw many beautiful birds he couldn’t recognize. Ever since he had logged onto the Secret Python Cult’s platform, whenever he saw a new type of bird, its name, the number, and what sort of environment was needed for it to grow and survive showed up on his Realm Pass.

“These are ornamental lifeforms we cultivated, and many of them are one-of-a-kind inside and outside the country. Every year, we have customers spending large quantities of money to buy these birds,” Lin Yingzi introduced.

Chen Chuan wondered, Is the egg they gave me also for viewing pleasure only?

Fifteen minutes later, the tourist cart stopped outside an egg-shaped glass cabin by the edge of the lake. “We’ve arrived, Mr. Chen.”
