Chapter 205: Introduction of Gods
Planet Orimund,
The world didn’t end.
Ron opened his eyes slowly.
Above him—
the familiar orangish-red sky.
Two red suns hung in their usual places, calm and indifferent, as if nothing extraordinary had happened.
For a moment, his mind refused to catch up.
“…We,” Ron whispered, voice dry, “we’re… alive?”
Lia stirred against him.
She had been clinging to his chest, arms tight as if afraid the world would vanish the moment she let go. Her eyes fluttered open, unfocused at first—then widening as the sky registered.
She inhaled sharply.
“We’re… still here…?”
Her fingers tightened on Ron’s clothes, then trembled.
In a cracked, almost breaking voice, she asked,
“W-what about Professor Zane…?”
A few steps away, Jax’s eyes snapped open.
He was holding Selene’s hand without realizing it. When awareness hit him, his grip tightened unconsciously.
“No… no, no, no…” he muttered, shaking his head.
“It can’t be… right, guys…?”
His voice rose, desperate.
“Professor Zane can’t be—
RIGHT?”
Selene didn’t answer.
Her midnight-blue eyes were fixed on the sky, searching—tracing every cloud, every ripple of mana, every empty patch where something should have been.
On other side maera clenched her hand so hard that they starts bleeding.
Around them, students slowly stood.
Relief spread first—shaky breaths, sobs, laughter that sounded too close to crying.
Then realization followed.
Heads tilted upward.
Eyes searched the heavens.
Nothing.
Just the same sky.
The same suns.
No man in the sky.
No overwhelming presence.
Lucen stood rigid, hand half-raised as if he could still sense something if he reached far enough.
Seris swallowed hard, her glasses reflecting the empty sky.
“Did…” she began, then stopped.
Her voice trembled as she forced the words out.
“Did Professor Zane… not survive…?”
Ron clenched his fists.
“No,” he said immediately, almost angrily.
“No. No way.”
But even as he spoke, his eyes searched again—harder this time.
Caelum stood apart from the others.
His light-blue eyes scanned not just the sky, but the world itself, his senses extending as far as they could go.
Silence stretched.
Then he lowered his gaze.
“I can’t feel his presence,” Caelum said quietly.
“…Neither his… nor that woman’s.”
The weight of those words settled heavily.
“…Is he really… gone?”
Students who barely talk to Zane stood silently, hands clasped together in gratitude—for a man they barely knew, yet owed their lives to.
Those who had known him—
Those who had trained under him, questioned him, laughed at his words—
They stood frozen, shock and confusion twisting slowly into grief.
The wind passed through the academy grounds, gentle and uncaring.
Caelum closed his eyes.
“…Zane Creed,” he said, voice steady but heavy,
“is truly gone.”
—
Outside the planet, in the silence of space—
the five gods stood frozen.
The mortal realm was still there.
Intact and alive.
The blinding afterglow of what should have been planetary annihilation faded, revealing the same world beneath them which should’ve annihilated leaving nothing but space dust.
For a brief moment, none of them spoke.
Then—
something came toward them.
Not through portal or space tear.
Instead something flew toward them .
A figure crossed the distance from the planet below in an instant, space itself bowing to his movement. He stopped directly in front of them, as if he had merely stepped across a room.
A man stood there.
A dark grey long coat fluttered lightly despite the vacuum, worn over a white shirt and black pants. Wild black hair framed a face carrying an easy, almost amused expression. His deep purple eyes glinted faintly as he looked at the five divine beings before him.
The gods stared.
Confusion rippled through their auras.
The man smiled.
“…Hello there.”
The sound reached them clearly.
Drakthar’s eyes narrowed.
He’s speaking directly through space, he realized. Like us…
Before any of them could react further—
Another presence arrived.
This one was slower.
A woman emerged behind the man, her form wrapped in a thin veil of pale golden divine mana. Stormy grey hair flowed behind her, and stormy grey eyes surveyed the scene with sharp awareness.
The reaction was instant.
Divine mana.
Undeniable.
All five gods stiffened.
She’s… one of us.
The weight of her presence shifted the atmosphere entirely. Attention that had been fixed on the strange mortal was drawn away, pulled toward her existence instead.
The leader finally stepped forward.
His expression hardened as he addressed her.
“You’re the divine being who ran away to the mortal realm,” he said coldly.
“Speak. How did you stop the planet-devastating attack?”
Eirenyssa’s brows furrowed slightly.
“…You all are,” she said slowly, “from the god realm.”
Behind her, the man let out a quiet breath of amusement.
Huh, Zane thought. No one’s asking me anything.
The leader straightened.
“Yes, we are the gods of the god realm,” he declared.
“I am Vorathrax,God of Tyranny.”
He paused, letting the title settle.
Then he gestured to the two figures standing beside him—
a man and a woman, identical in appearance. Blue hair, green eyes, calm expressions. Their divine auras moved in perfect harmony.
He pointed first to the man.
“He is Zephyros,God of squalls.”
Then to the woman beside him.
“She is Kaelos,Goddess of surges.”
A scoff cut through the air.
Before Vorathrax could continue, the witch-clad woman lifted her staff slightly, eyes sharp with disdain.
“Hmph. I’m the Goddess of Hexes,” she said flatly. “Lilithara.”
Vorathrax gives a brief nod and moved on, pointing toward the muscular figure radiating volatile energy.
“And he is Drakthar God of Frenzy.”
Silence followed.
Eirenyssa stepped forward slightly.
“I am Eirenyssa of Everion,” she said.
Vorathrax’s faint smile disappeared.
“Now, Eirenyssa,” he said, voice heavy with authority,
“tell us—how did you stop the Solar Annihilation?”
Eirenyssa shook her head slowly.
“I didn’t stop that attack.”
For a moment, space itself seemed to hesitate.
“…What?”
The word escaped almost all of them at once.
Before any of the five gods could press further, a calm voice cut in.
“That would be me.”
All five turned.
Their gazes finally settled on the man they had instinctively dismissed.
Zane stood there casually, hands relaxed, expression unchanged. Deep purple eyes met theirs without the slightest hint of reverence.
Eirenyssa nodded once.
“Yes.”
Silence followed.
Then—laughter.
First it was light. Almost amused.
The woman with the calm aura let out a soft chuckle. The twin beside her followed, shaking his head. Even the witch-clad goddess covered her mouth as she laughed openly.
Vorathrax smiled faintly.
“You expect us to believe that?” he said.
Lilithara scoffed, her staff tapping lightly against space itself.
“I might believe you interfered somehow,” she said lazily, eyes flicking toward Zane, “but a mortal stopping Solar Annihilation?”
She smirked. “That’s a joke.”
Drakthar stepped forward, aura flaring slightly.
“Speak the truth,” he growled.
The air shifted.
Eirenyssa’s divine mana surged outward, sharp and furious. The pale golden aura around her flared violently as she turned on Lilithara, stormy eyes burning.
“How dare you speak to my lord like that?” she snapped.
The laughter died instantly.
“…Lord?”
All five gods froze.
Zane sighed softly and reached out, patting Eirenyssa’s head.
“Calm down,” he said lightly. “It’s fine.”
Then he looked back at the five gods.
“I am Zane Creed,” he said simply.
“And I’m the one who stopped your attack.”
He paused, letting the words sink in.
Then his smile sharpened—just slightly.
“Now,” he continued calmly,
“if you don’t want to die…”
His gaze swept over them, one by one.
“…you’re all going to do exactly what I want.”
