Chapter 76: Zayne’s Wrath
Dimensional Space,
Eirenyssa’s body spun through the air like a broken doll, blood trailing in an arc before she crashed against the barren earth. Dust plumed, stones cracked, and silence followed for a breath.
Zayne remained where he was—arms still folded, feet rooted, gaze sharp. His expression held no amusement this time, only a calm inevitability.
Staggering, the immortal goddess dragged herself upright. Blood smeared her chin, her once-pristine features now marred with swelling and bruises. Her trembling fingers brushed her cheek, disbelief widening her eyes.
“My face…” she whispered hoarsely.
Then her scream tore through the battlefield—raw, furious, hysterical.
“My beautiful face! You ruined my face, you mortal!!!”
Her aura erupted, blazing white light lashing across the surroundings. The ground cracked beneath her feet as waves of divinity pulsed outward, shredding the air.
But even amidst her frenzy, her thoughts twisted in turmoil.
This strength… this pressure… yet I don’t feel the resonance of any immortal force. No divine signature, no celestial energy… What is he?
She shouted,”Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
Zayne’s gaze didn’t waver. Instead, his brows furrowed slightly as faint, spiderweb-like fissures appeared in the fabric of space around him.
Tch… these cracks. Main body should’ve given me at least a normal-quality dimensional bag. But no, I’m stuck with this lowest trash one. It’s already straining from just her aura…
His jaw tightened.
I can’t drag this out. If she powers up any further, this entire space might collapse.
He exhaled once, slowly, lowering his center of gravity as the dust carried by her aura whipped past him.
Zayne unfolded his arms.
“It’s my turn,” he said, his tone cold, stripped of all playfulness. “I’ll end this before you embarrass yourself further.”
A blinding detonation of white light burst forth, sweeping away every trace of lingering shadow. The very fabric of the dimensional space shuddered, bending under the intensity.
When the radiance settled, Eirenyssa stood transformed.
Her wounds were gone—healed without a scar. Her long hair now shimmered with strands of pure starlight, each lock flowing as though a storm of constellations had taken root in her being. Her eyes glowed with concentric silver rings, like layered galaxies, cutting through all veils, all illusions, all darkness.
A radiant aura surrounded her form, so overwhelming that even the shadows bent away, forced into retreat. Her presence was impossible to ignore, casting long, trembling silhouettes across the fractured dimension.
When she spoke, her voice reverberated through the air, laced with divine resonance.
“Behold, mortal… You have angered me. Now face my Aeonic Luminary form!”
The declaration rang like a commandment across the heavens themselves. Her body pulsed with celestial power, every breath infused with divine authority. She was no longer a warrior—she had become a living vessel of the stars.
Far below, Zayne raised his gaze lazily. The air around him rippled as the dimensional space—once on the brink of collapse—stabilized under her overwhelming aura. Yet rather than fear, his lips curved upward into a smirk.
She’s finally serious… but not as strong as she pretends. Good thing this little bag can handle her after all.
He folded his arms, tilting his head, eyes sharp with amusement.
“Quite the show-off,” he remarked coolly.
Eirenyssa’s silver-ringed eyes narrowed, fury igniting within their depths.
“You will pay for what you’ve done, mortal…!” Her voice thundered as her hands gripped her radiant blade.
“Face my wrath!”
Mana surged around her, coiling into her sword as though the heavens themselves had chosen her as conduit. She lifted the blade with one hand, raising it skyward.
The cosmos answered.
A pillar of radiant energy crashed down, fusing with her sword in a symphony of blinding brilliance. The sheer intensity burned away every trace of shadow and ignited the fractured dimension in searing white.
Her form blazed, untouchable—momentarily immune to death, shadow, corruption. The mark of one chosen by the immortal plane.
Her voice split the heavens.
“ECLIPSE JUDGEMENT!”
And then, she brought the sword down.
From its edge, a colossal beam of divine light erupted, lancing downward toward Zayne like the judgment of the stars themselves. It tore apart the ground, rending through layers of space, leaving only devastation in its wake as it descended upon him with annihilating force.
Eirenyssa’s strike descended like a storm of divine wrath, the ground exploding into a blinding flash of white. A vast crater opened where Zayne had been standing.
But through the dust, a calm voice came.
“Decent attack… for someone of your level.”
Eirenyssa’s eyes widened, her divine poise cracking. “I–Impossible…”
Zayne stood there, untouched, a faint smirk curling on his lips.
“Y-you… mortal…” she stammered.
“Hahahaha—” Zayne’s laughter shook the space. But in the midst of his mockery, his gaze shifted to the corner where his belongings lay. Everything he’d brought from the main body’s island was perfectly intact… except for one spot. To the right side, there was nothing. Not even ashes.
His laughter froze. The ground trembled. Cracks spread through the dimension as his aura began to leak—a calm, chilling blue.
Eirenyssa’s heart skipped. “W-what… what is happening!?”
Zayne’s voice dropped, venom laced with absurd fury.
“…Y-you… bitch.”
He clenched his fist, shadows flickering over his face.
“YOU DESTROYED MY SNACKS!!!”
In an instant, he vanished. Before Eirenyssa could react, a hand gripped her neck from behind. The next moment—BOOM—her divine body was driven into the ground with such force the land itself screamed. Zayne didn’t stop.
Zayne’s aura flared wildly, cracks spiderwebbing across the dimensional space as if reality itself feared his wrath. His grip on Eirenyssa’s neck tightened, and before she could so much as blink, he blurred forward.
The world became a streak of white and shattering blue as he dragged her face-first across the endless ground of the dimension. Splinters of light and shards of space burst apart wherever her body scraped through.
Finally, Zayne halted, lifting her by the neck. His smile was twisted, fury burning behind it. Without a word, he slammed her into the dimensional ground again. And again. And again. Each impact echoed like thunder in an empty sky, every slam carving new craters into the infinite expanse.
Eirenyssa’s immortal body shook violently under the relentless punishment, unable to resist, unable to understand.
“You’re immortal, right?” Zayne’s voice was dark, almost mocking as he lifted her again. “Let’s test if that immortality of yours is genuine… or just another pathetic claim.”
And with that, he continued the merciless assault, the dimensional space itself screaming under the force of his rage.
What followed was pure carnage. Each blow shattered bone, each slam ruptured divine flesh. Eirenyssa’s mind blurred—she couldn’t comprehend, couldn’t fight back, couldn’t believe. This was her strongest form, her divinity at its peak, yet before this mortal’s wrath… she was nothing.
.
.
.
.
Cracks rippled faintly across the floating dimensional bag, its smooth surface trembling as though straining against what had been forced within. Then, with a low hum, the fabric of space bent open in it .
From its depths, Zayne drifted upward, black coat fluttering unnaturally in the still void. His grip was tight on a bundle of silver hair, dragging behind it the limp figure of Eirenyssa.
Her once radiant Luminary form was gone. What remained was a bloodied, broken body, marred from head to toe—each breath ragged, her skin bruised and cut. Her divinity had been ground out of her, slammed into nothingness until only flesh remained.
Zayne raised her higher, letting her dangle helplessly by her hair. His light-purple eyes narrowed, a faint smile tugging his lips.
“…Tch. Looks like I went overboard.”
He glanced at the dimensional bag behind him, noticing the fractures spiderwebbing faintly across its surface. A dangerous thing—signs of space itself rejecting the stress.
“If the main body sees this, he won’t be happy,” Zayne muttered, almost scared. “Destroying a bag like this just because I played too rough… hmmm.”
His gaze lowered back to Eirenyssa. Broken, but alive. He smirked wider.
“Still, maybe this works out in my favor. The main body’s not using his perception—he doesn’t know what really happened in there. And he might be very… interested in her boss. The Immortals, hmm? This chick could be useful.”
Her bloodied lips trembled, and for the first time since he dragged her out, sound slipped through.
“I… am… sorry… I… was… also… a m-mortal… m-myself…”
Zane glanced at her, utterly unmoved, his grip on her hair never loosening.
“Yeah, yeah, I don’t wanna hear your sob story.”
Without a shred of hesitation, he tossed her mangled form back into the cracked bag, sealing it away once more. The bag pulsed faintly, unstable yet obedient.
Stretching lazily, Zayne rose higher into the empty expanse, his voice calm, mocking.
“But before that…” His grin sharpened. “I should probably refill my snacks.”
He soared through the skies, dark coat whipping in the wind, before descending at the towering walls of the border city. Landing with effortless grace, he strode up to the gate, flashing the ID with a smirk.
Name: Zayne Creed.
The guards glanced at it, nodded, and waved him through.
The moment his boots touched the cobbled streets inside, his grin widened.
“Let’s get some food!!” he declared, lips curling in amusement as he vanished into the lively crowd.
