Chapter 213: To The Hall Of Judgment
Zane looked once more at the restored planet drifting silently behind them.
“Alright,” he said casually. “Everything’s sorted out here. Let’s go.”
Eirenyssa hesitated.
“U-Um… my lord, may I ask something?”
Zane glanced back over his shoulder.
“Hm? Yeah, sure.”
She gathered her courage.
“Why didn’t you reverse time… before the planet exploded?”
Zane simply smiled.
He didn’t answer.
Instead, he turned his back to her and took a step forward.
“Let’s go.”
Eirenyssa blinked in surprise at the sudden order.
“Y-Yes, my lord.”
A holographic window flickered to life beside her.
[He just wanted to watch the explosion.]
Zane glanced sideways.
“…Eira.”
The hologram pretended to buffer.
After a moment, Zane continued calmly.
“Finding the god realm directly wouldn’t be difficult,” he said. “But I’m too lazy to search for it manually.”
He raised his hand slightly.
“When Lilithara teleported away, I instantly recorded her spatial and temporal coordinates.”
Eirenyssa stiffened.
“You mean…?”
“Yes,” Zane replied. “We’ll follow that trace straight to the god realm to destroy it.”
Her eyes widened.
“D-Destroy it…?”
Zane nodded.
“Exactly.”
He spoke casually, as if explaining tomorrow’s weather.
“They will act exactly like third-rate villain sects.”
He counted on his fingers.
“First they’ll send someone stronger than those five.
Then if that fails, someone stronger than that.
Then an Elder God.
Then a commander.
Then some so-called ’Leaders’ or something.”
He sighed.
“I don’t feel like dealing with divine delivery services arriving every day to destroy planets and kill people.”
Zane glanced back at Orimund whic appear as a dot far behind them.
“So instead of waiting for trouble…”
His purple eyes curved slightly.
“I’ll go knock on their door first.”
Eirenyssa swallowed.
“…My lord.”
Zane turned forward, space beginning to distort ahead of him.
“Let’s erase the problem at the source.”
The stars bent.
Coordinates locked.
And somewhere far beyond mortal reach—
The god realm waited.
—
God Realm
A realm untouched by stars.
Endless skies of pale gold stretched infinitely, layered with floating continents forged from divine crystal and white stone. Rivers of luminous mana-water flowed upward instead of down, spiraling through the air and forming glowing halos around colossal structures carved from condensed divinity itself.
At the center of the realm hovered a massive citadel.
Its walls were etched with authority—laws older than time engraved into every surface. Even space bent subtly around it, unable to reject its presence.
Far from the main halls, in one quiet corner of the realm, two divine soldiers stood guard.
They wore white divine armor marked with a golden triangle sigil on their chests. Before them floated a small circular chamber, sealed by a rotating golden-white disc that pulsed gently with judgment mana.
The two guards stood relaxed, chatting idly.
“What do you think happened to Lady Lilithara and her team?” the first soldier asked. “They were sent to annihilate the mortal realm.”
The second nodded slowly.
“Yet she returned alone. Injured, too. And rushed straight into the Hall of Judgment.”
“Maybe infighting,” the first said casually. “Ego clashes happen even among gods.”
The second guard shook his head.
“Unlikely. I heard they’ve done multiple missions together. They were close.”
The first scoffed.
“So you believe someone in the mortal realm injured them?”
He burst out laughing.
“I’ll believe they fought each other before I believe that bullshit.”
The second joined in.
Their laughter echoed lightly through the golden air.
Then—
A calm voice spoke behind them.
“Excuse me, Mr. Guards.”
Both soldiers turned mid-laugh.
“Where’s the god of cooking?” the voice asked cheerfully. “The one famous for skewers.”
Still smiling, the first guard instinctively pointed northeast.
“About a thousand eonspans that way—”
He froze.
The second guard froze too.
Their laughter died instantly.
Behind them stood a man with deep purple eyes and jet-black hair, wearing a long dark overcoat. He looked relaxed—almost amused—as if he were visiting a marketplace rather than the most restricted realm in existence.
Beside him stood a woman of striking divine beauty.
Stormy gray hair flowed down her back, matching eyes filled with quiet depth. She wore an off-white dress, her presence wrapped in unmistakable divine mana.
The air itself acknowledged her.
The guards snapped fully into alert.
“W–Who are you?!” one shouted. “How did you get here?!”
The other narrowed his eyes, focusing.
“The woman… she possesses divine mana.”
Then his gaze shifted back to the man.
“…But I can’t sense anything from him.”
His expression twisted in disbelief.
“He can’t be a mortal.”
The second guard swallowed.
“No… that’s impossible.”
“A mortal cannot exist in the god realm.”
Zane smiled slightly.
“Ah,” he said pleasantly.
“So this really is the right place.”
The divine soldiers stiffened.
One of them raised his spear, divine runes igniting across the blade.
“If you don’t tell us who you are—”
They didn’t finish the sentence.
Both guards lunged at once, divine mana flaring as their weapons tore through space toward Zane.
Zane didn’t move.
He didn’t even look at them.
“…Eirenyssa,” he muttered calmly.
Shing.
A line of pure white light flashed across the air.
For a fraction of a second, the two soldiers froze mid-charge.
Then their heads slid cleanly from their shoulders.
Their bodies collapsed, divine armor crashing onto the crystal floor as golden blood scattered silently in the air.
Eirenyssa stood behind them, her sword of light still humming softly as she lowered it.
Zane glanced at the fallen bodies and sighed.
“For gods who keep calling themselves divine,” he said casually, “they sure act like barbarians.”
He turned toward the distant glow of the citadel’s eastern quarter.
“Anyway,” he added with a faint smile,
“let’s head to the god of cooking.”
He stretched his arms lightly.
“I want to see if his food is actually worth all the hype.”
Eirenyssa nodded, stepping beside him as they walked forward—
leaving two headless divine corpses behind in the corner of the god realm.
Zane walked forward with a faint smile.
Something brushed against his senses.
Before he and Eirenyssa could take another step—
“Wait.”
The voice echoed across the divine corridor.
Both of them turned.
Two figures approached from the radiant passage ahead.
A man and a woman, both radiating authority rather than raw power.
They wore structured navy-blue coats fastened with golden buttons, crisp white trousers, and peaked caps bearing the familiar triangular emblem. Their presence was disciplined—nothing like the reckless divine soldiers earlier.
Zane glanced at them once.
“…Hmm,” he muttered. “They look higher ranked than those guards.”
The two officers stopped several meters away.
“Both of you,” the woman said coldly.
“Stop.”
“You are formally invited to the Hall of Judgment by the High Gods.”
Zane’s eyebrow lifted slightly.
“Interesting.”
The man stepped forward sharply.
“Do not resist.”
Zane turned his head toward Eirenyssa.
“…Does part of the brain get damaged after becoming a divine being?” he asked casually.
Eirenyssa froze, then laughed awkwardly, a bead of sweat forming at her temple.
“I—um… I don’t think so, my lord.”
Zane sighed and looked back at the officers.
“Didn’t you hear about me from Lilithara?”
The female officer stiffened.
“We did hear Lady Lilithara’s report.”
Zane nodded.
“So you already know that if I wanted to walk away from here or kill both of you, ” he said calmly,
“I could do it right now.”
The man met his gaze without backing down.
“We know,” he replied.
“But we are performing our duty.”
For a moment, Zane stared at him.
Then he smirked.
“Hmph. I like that. You two have guts.”
He waved his hand lightly.
“Alright. Lead the way.”
The officers exchanged a glance, then nodded.
They turned and began walking toward the inner sanctum.
Zane followed behind them, hands in his coat pockets, purple eyes glinting faintly.
A smile curved across his face.
“Let’s meet these so-called High Gods.”
