“Umm… this feels so, so good!” Phoebe muttered as she only had half of her body inside the Icy Lake.

However, I could completely understand her reaction since I had gotten a similar one when only my feet had been inside it.

“Oh my god! This is amazing!” Emma muttered as she jumped inside the Icy Lake in one go. She was one of the few who had decided to keep her clothes on amongst the former slaves. However, seeing how nonchalant they were about showing their bodies to others wasn’t something that I had expected. I had no idea how Zero had done it, actually I sort of did, however, this whole thing was just disturbing.

They had spent years basically moving around with barely any clothes to cover their private parts and they were just so used to it, that did not care anymore if men were to look at their breasts.

It was something that they would have to be careful of. However, I wasn’t the one who would be warning them over such things. They would have to learn on their own how cruel humans could be. It wasn’t only demons who would take advantage of them, humans wouldn’t hesitate to do so. They might be slightly less violent in some cases or they might even more violent.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t my problem as I closed my eyes and relaxed myself in the Icy Lake. It felt so good. I could just relax inside it without the slightest distraction from anyone around me.

However, a few minutes passed by, and I could feel two people who were now right beside me.

“Is something wrong?” I asked without even opening my eyes.

“Ah, no… I just wanted to talk with you for a bit.”

That voice came from Amelia.

“Uh… I just wanted to stay close to you.”

That one was coming from Emma.

The two of them clearly liked me for both different reasons. Emma was a little crazy and might have seen herself into me, and she knew that I could understand them somewhat.

As for Amelia, we had just gotten closer over the time we had spent with one another.

“So, what did you want to talk about, Amelia?”

“Uh… this is a bit private things that I wanted to talk about alone with you.”

POV Amelia

I just wanted some time alone with Caedrel. Was that so hard to ask?

He was just so emotionally unaware. Even now he seemed completely unaware of my feelings for him when I had made it perfectly clear time and time again. This time I would have no choice but to be… a little more direct with my actions, if that made sense. I wanted him to know that he was my taste. I knew that he had a strange relationship with someone else, but they weren’t together yet which meant I still had some time to confess my feelings to him.

If he went back to the Human Kingdom without me being able to confess my feelings then I would, without a doubt, lose him to another woman.

“So, what did you want to talk about?” Caedrel asked once again as the other girl he had rescued left his sides, leaving him all alone.

For a short moment, I kept my mouth shut, simply staring at him as he still had his eyes, relaxing. He just looked so peaceful even after everything that he had just done. He had just killed a man, and he was now acting like nothing had happened at all.

“I wanted to ask about how you’re able to keep your composure at all times. It’s as if nothing can shock you at all.”

That wasn’t really the reason why I was here, but I needed an opener to our discussion. I couldn’t just blurt out my feelings, that would be so, so embarrassing. I just couldn’t bring myself to doing it.

Caedrel pondered for a bit before answering, “Well, I’m not sure. I’ve been this way for such a long time and I’ve seen so many things in my life that it’s hard for me to be shocked. Actually, want to hear something funny?”

‘Something funny?’ I thought, wondering what the hell he would say to me.

“Sure, what is it?”

“Well, one of the times I got really shocked was when you hugged me a few days ago. It had truly came out of nowhere, and those kind of things I’m not really the best at them as I rarely even experienced them in the past. So, yeah… you managed to surprise me,” he said with a nice laugh.

However, I just smiled at those words. This was perfect for me to bring my feelings into the conversation. After all, that’s where they had emerged. When I had hugged him and felt his warmth and care. My opinion about him had completely changed for the better in an instant.

“About that… how did you find that hug?” I asked, blushing like crazy.

It was a good thing that he had his eyes closed, or else, he would be even more awkward for me at the moment.

“Uh… I’m not sure, it’s been too long. It’s hard to recall.”

When I heard those words coming out of his mouth, I hesitated whether to do something… it would be so bold and it would be quite a risky move. However, after a few seconds of thinking, I summoned my courage and got my arms around his neck and sat on his lap.

“How about I give you a reminder of how it felt…” I murmured in his ear, my hot breath brushing against his neck.

I tightly held him as I could feel his whole body pressing against mine. We could both feel everything about each other.

I felt a few gazes coming from around us, however, I didn’t care. I continued to hug him as he was still completely silent.

“How is it?” I asked… worried that he might not like it since he hadn’t even put his arms around me just yet. He was just standing there while I did absolutely everything.

However, one thing had changed, he had opened his eyes as he just stared at my flushed face. But I wasn’t the only one blushing as I saw a little red hue appearing on both his cheeks.

“I-It’s definitely nice,” he muttered, stuttering a little. “Though, I’m not too sure if it’s the best hug I ever had. Let’s stay like this for another minute or two… it might give me a better idea.”
