I smirked. She really was pushing it this time.
She was so sarcastic with her respect, convinced that I wouldn’t do anything after that shitty explanation of hers.
Did she think I was weak and wouldn’t do anything against someone who had wronged me?
Well, if she did, then she was wrong. Without a doubt, she was dead wrong about me.
“I’ll show you who’s really this, oh powerful sage as you like saying,” I muttered as I grabbed her by the back of her collar, lifting her up to my eye level and giving her a good look. “Say goodbye to your job at this academy, and more importantly, say goodbye to your reputation.”
It was time to humiliate her in front of everyone present in the academy. I could see all of her magic beasts glaring at me, especially that stupid owl of hers. However, I couldn’t care less, I flew out of the open window where the owl from back then had flown through, still onto her.
“You’re worse than I thought. Attacking someone who didn’t do anything,” she said, her voice still calm even now, which only made me angrier.
Still, I ignored her as I felt the rage within myself bubbling even further.
On the ground, a few students directly noticed me and pulled out their cellphones, taking videos.
“Who is flying up there?”
“I-Is that the Director? Since when can she fly? Does she have a white core?”
“W-Wait, there’s someone behind her!”
I spotted them, and in a swift movement of my hand, I made all their cellphones levitate, and I also erased their memories of me flying, I made sure to do that with everyone present. Since I didn’t want rumors to spread. Anyway, I reached the ground quickly, landing without much problem.
Right away, I held Alexandra before me, raising her for everyone to see.
“What the hell is happening? Why is the director being held by the teacher of the Apex Class? What the hell is happening?”
“This is crazy!”
I just smirked as I could see more and more students and teachers approaching. This was all I wanted for what would be coming next.
I wanted everyone to see the director get humiliated. I wanted it to be bad.
I could see some of my own students approaching, all looking at me as if I had lost my mind. I even spotted Ava, who had her hair all disheveled, probably wondering what I was doing. There was even my girlfriend, Amelia, who had come out, and sure enough, within minutes, the backyard of the Royal Academy was filled with all kinds of different people as they all glared at me, wondering what I would be doing next.
I had kept quiet ever since I had arrived there. With practically every teacher and student bombarding me with questions about why I was doing this, my reasons for capturing the director in such a way…
Still, I kept calm. There was no reason for me to be nervous at the moment.
“Quiet.” I finally uttered as everyone within the crowd shut their mouths at my word.
I had enough aura that a single word coming from my mouth was enough for everyone around to shut their mouths at once.
“I know everyone is wondering why I’m holding onto Alexandra, the director of this academy, without the slightest care in the world, right?” I smirked. “Well, it’s because she’s not as she seems, and after today, she will have no choice but to either get fired or leave on her own. There will be no in-between.”
Everyone seemed still confused. However, I was only starting.
“Alexandra here is a manipulative little bitch who used her connections with the Emperor to get to her spot. She’s a little snake that decided to lie to the Emperor in my stead, spreading rumors about me within the human kingdom that I had betrayed humankind. Of course, such rumors only spread within the high society; however, they are still because of her.”
I started laughing.
“It’s honestly really funny that someone like Alexandra could utter such words. Someone who never went to the battlefield for seven years to fight against the demons. Someone who didn’t have to kill his friends because they had been demonized. Someone who just stayed here all cooped up without the slightest thing while I was on the fucking battlefield. While I was the one risking my life so that everyone present here could be in peace.”
I started losing my mind, laughing even harder.

“I’m sure everyone must be wondering what happened to Professor Derek, right? Well, guess what, he was a fucking demon. Demons are still here; we won the war, but it was only a diversion for them to infiltrate our societies. It was a secret that the Emperor wanted to keep away from everyone, and I thought that it was a good idea to do that. But I’m tired of getting played and shit on when I’m doing fucking everything for this world.”
“Without me, we would have lost the war. Without me, we wouldn’t have figured out that there were high-ranked officials in all kingdoms that are demons dissimulated as normal people.”
I shook my head, trying to calm down and take a small breather. But I just couldn’t. I was fuming. Everything that I had kept hidden from others was starting to come out on its own.
“None of you here experienced what it’s like to be at war. Well, you’ll find out soon enough just how horrible it is. After all, our enemy is a single entity that no one can rival. The Demon King. That is our enemy, someone so powerful that no one in this world can even hope to resist a single strike from him. However, our enemy isn’t important. I am here today to tell everyone that the demons are still present within our world.”
I could already murmur within the crowd as I had just revealed information that I hadn’t even planned on revealing. I had wanted to humiliate Alexandra, but that’s not exactly what I had done. Anyway, after saying that, I looked directly toward Ava, I still remembered the words from the director. That there was a chance that she was actually a demon.
I didn’t believe her, considering everything that had happened around her… the fact that she had told me about the Cyclops with someone coming to my class to demonize him… Too many things were weird about this situation.
Still, the fact that she hadn’t found anything related to the black heart was strange. At the very least, she should have managed to get some clue on it. But nothing… she had found nothing. It was simply too weird to let it go that easy.
There was clearly something strange related to Ava, and when I looked over in her direction. She was frowning heavily. Obviously, that wasn’t that much of an unusual reaction, considering what I had just done. But she seemed angry as if something had angered her greatly.
Alexandra was right. I really needed to look into her. There was something strange that I hadn’t noticed because I had been naively getting closer to her… love blinded me? I scoffed just thinking about it… because of how ridiculous that sounded.
While everyone started to panic, Alexandra, who I was still holding onto, looked at me with a sigh.
“Are you really happy with what you just done? Now, the whole world will be thrown into a state of panic, wondering if their friends or their family aren’t demons… and I just want you to know that it’s all because of you.”
“I don’t care. It’s better this way. Keeping it a secret was just helping the demons more than anything since they could roam with only a few individuals knowing. Now that everyone knows, it’ll be much harder for Perdere to move. Anyway, I expect your resignation to happen tomorrow, or I’ll come to your office personally and cripple you so that you won’t be able to work another day in your life.”
I said that in a whisper, making sure no one else could hear it.
Alexandra just nodded quietly, knowing that I would do it.
“Fine. Congrats, you got what you wanted, I guess. Chaos.” She shrugged. “Still… remember what I said, with what you did by killing Zero. Demons will try to take revenge on you; don’t let them get too much information on you. Because if I were the siblings of Zero, I would be only thinking of killing you right at this moment.”
I laughed. “I welcome them. They can come. The same fate will happen to them.”
Alexandra just shook her head as she couldn’t be bothered anymore. “You should quit being a professor at the academy; it’ll only make things harder for you. You need to focus on the war against the demons… You said it yourself; you’re probably the most important person we have right now. You’re the one who knows the most, and you’re also the one who’s at the most risk of getting killed.”
