For my final test I put in a level four non monster rex stone and observed how long it took to be converted.

‘An hour to convert a level four stone, By my estimation it should then only take about three or four hours to convert a Goliath stone.’ I thought pleased with my new designs performance.

I spent the next three days replacing my previous models with this new one while Hestia was annoyed at how fast they were now as she couldn’t just put a stone in and relax for the next hour to several days.-

She now had to actually put in a bit of work swapping the stones in the converters which meant she complained a bit about it. It was merely empty bellyaching though as the work was by no means hard at all, just tedious. It took her about a week to convert the stones in the conversion bins into cursed stones or empty stones. During this time I was busy experimenting with the idea of creating positive cursed spirits. As I quickly learned however that simply wasn’t possible or at least ridiculously fucking hard due to the nature of how reverse curse technique worked.-

As the name implied it reversed the cursed technique it was used on and that meant the creation abilities innate to my [Hell’s forge] were out of reach when I used it. I had thought to store the positive energy in a stone before using it to attempt the creation of a positive cursed spirit but it simply didn’t work as the positive energy was anathema to my cursed energy. Don’t think that you could use my weapon as an example of how to do it either as I had actually used trickery in that case. –

I had used my cursed energy to pave the way for the positive in the weapon rather than used the positive energy to accomplish anything at all.

‘Ah well, can’t win them all I guess.’ I thought declaring this idea a bust.

It was at this time that we received a visitor that was not entirely unexpected as she dropped by every now and then to try and flirt with me or do some business. I do of course mean Hephaestus. Like usual she was wearing a tight pair of pants and a button up shirt tucked into her waistband with an extra button undone to expose a little extra of her boobs to me.-

“A new model? Green dragon scales it seems, expensive choice but effective enough it appears.” she said as she looked over the converters. 

“I have found that the scales of draconic monsters serves this process best. I doubt you are here to look at my upgrades on a tool you already know the purpose of though.” I said casually giving her a once over with my gaze and nodding appreciatively.

She preened proudly under my not so innocent gaze “I was actually wanting to discuss a commission with you, something you may find interesting.” she said with a small smile.

I raised an eyebrow at that “Oh? Well by all means do go on.” I said curious about what she had in mind.

She sat down on one of the pews “I have a small issue that you alone are able to fix. My personal furnace is the single most powerful one in the world and something I’ve spent a lot of money and resources on. One of my furnaces special functions is to be able to take any flame I give it and replicate it which it has done perfectly, until now.” she said and I understood the issue.

“You tried to use my flames didn’t you?” I asked with a sigh and she nodded awkwardly. “Let me guess, it went out of control and you barely have it contained but need it fixed. You also want me to make you a new furnace that can safely use them as well, that about sum it up?” I asked with a stern glare.

“Can you blame me? That’s a true divine flame! Even if only a spark it’s value to a craftsman like me is immense.” she said defensively.

“I’m not saying it’s unexpected merely that I am disappointed you didn’t foresee this happening to begin with. My flames need something I myself made to control them. In addition you of all people should understand how destructive those flames are.” I said chiding her.

“Okay fine I admit I got a bit over eager, happy?” she said with a red embarrassed face.

“This commission won’t be cheap you know? In fact I dare say it’ll be so expensive even the massive wealth of your familia will drop drastically. Not only will I have to recreate a version of your original furnace but I’ll have to make it capable of using and controlling my flames with long term use in mind. I honestly don’t even know if I CAN make something like this at my current level.” I said seriously.

“I know and I don’t expect you to. Right now I just need you to take care of the flames rampaging in my forge. The furnace will be much later.” she said sheepishly.

“Lead with that next time! Here I was stressing over this gargantuan fucking task you just casually threw at me and it wasn’t even an option at the moment!” I said annoyed.

“If it helps I think you looked so handsome fretting over your work.” she said flirtacious.

I rolled my eyes at this shameless behavior. “Keep it up and I might just test whether or not goddesses can get pregnant or not.” I teased and watched in amusement as her face went as red as her hair. “Jokes aside we should probably get going if you don’t want to be responsible for burning down the city.” I said not really all that worried about it.

“I’ve got it contained in a magical barrier strong enough to hold a level six so I think it should be fine.” she said with a doubtful look.

“In any other case you may be right but my flames burn even magic so all you’ve accomplished was stalling it by throwing a delicious meal in it’s way.” I said honestly and she had a horrified look as she understood exactly what I meant.
