Chapter 129: The Continental War (17) || Ending the War
“We are the same, Rubedo!” the Sovereign begged, spittle and blood flying from his lips. “We are humans! Trapped in this hellscape! The others… they don’t understand. But we do. WE didn’t ask to come to this game. It’s against our will. We were forced to do it. We were forced to play gods, and that’s what we all are doing! We are creators! Do not… do not delete another of your own kind. Have mercy. I will serve you. A Vassalage Contract. Anything!”
Red’s expression remained hollow. He felt absolutely nothing looking at the creature begging for pity based on a shared heritage that died the moment they ascended.
“Humanity was a limitation,” Red stated coldly.
He raised his splintering, scaled right hand. The 100x Violet Flame roared to life around his claws.
“I abandoned it to build something stronger.”
Red drove his burning hand directly into the Glacial Sovereign’s open mouth, plunging it down into his throat. The alchemical fire incinerated the vessel from the inside out.
The Sovereign’s eyes flared with blinding violet light right before his entire body detonated in a shower of ash and bone.
The third golden system notification flashed across the sky.
[ ENTITY: THE GLACIAL SOVEREIGN (RANK 12) – PERMANENTLY DELETED. ]
A final, agonizing crack split open across Krug’s chest cavity, revealing the burning core of Red’s divine soul beneath the scales. The vessel was seconds from detonation.
Red turned his head back toward Old-Shell. The Zephyr Lord was still pinned to the calcified dome, thrashing against the 100x Violet Flame shrapnel that anchored his physical manifestation.
“No more games,” Red growled.
He didn’t use telekinesis or the axe in fear of breaking Krug’s body.
The [Modular Geography] trait superimposed over his physical vision, revealing the underlying green wireframe grid of the battlefield bedrock.
Red extended his arm and drove his hand into the air, physically grasping the glowing green lines of the game engine’s geometry. He used his brute force to warp reality.
“Delete.”
Red violently wrenched his hand upward. The bedrock beneath the western banks completely inverted. A continent-sized slab of solid granite, millions of tons of stone, buckled and shot directly into the sky at supersonic speeds.
The surviving three hundred thousand enemy troops, the entire remaining vanguard, and the hundreds of thousands of frozen wights were launched into the upper atmosphere like insignificant dust.
Warping the geography further, Red clamped his hands together. The massive floating continent folded inward. Millions of tons of compressed rock slammed shut, acting as a planetary-scale trash compactor.
It instantly crushed the entire enemy army into a hyper-compressed cube of blood and stone.

“You… monster…” the Zephyr Lord wheezed, watching the eradication of his entire faith from the back of the Shell-Kin.
Red glanced at the final god. He flicked a single finger. The wireframe grid around the Zephyr Lord violently compressed. The bedrock beneath him rose up, forming a flawless stone maiden that slammed shut around his vessel.
Red gripped Krug’s greataxe, coated it in the final reserve of the 100x Violet Flame, and hurled it.
The axe cleaved through the stone, through the Zephyr Lord’s head, and into Old-Shell’s dome. The alchemical fire turned the final god into vapor.
[ ENTITY: ZEPHYR LORD (RANK 12) – PERMANENTLY DELETED. ]
Up in their isolated Void instances, the surviving vassal gods stared at the flatlining telemetry. The Rank 10 War God backed away from his terminal. His digital avatar trembled as systemic warning alerts overrode his UI.
“He wiped them out,” the War God whispered, his hands shaking over the keyboard. “Two Rank 11s and 12s. Gone.”
Down on the physical map, the chaotic battlefield fell completely still. Elian and the surviving human militias peered over the edges of their flooded trenches. Mortal eyes tracked the floating cube of compressed bedrock and the vaporized craters left behind by the enemy pantheon.
“The Spiral protects,” Elian muttered, gripping his rifle tightly.
Gorak pushed himself up from the mud. The Troglodyte Warlord clutched his shattered ribs and bared his bloody teeth in a terrifying grin of absolute worship. Iron-Scale sparked against the trench wall. The entire mortal faction dropped to their knees amidst the ash and burning sludge.
A violent crack split open across Krug’s chest cavity. The burning core of Red’s divine soul threatened to breach the physical shell. The Kobold’s scales turned entirely to translucent glass.
“I wanted to stay for a little more while, but Krug’s body won’t survive,” Red growled.
He accessed his mental interface and forcefully executed the descent cancellation protocol.
[ WARNING: DESCENT CANCELLATION INITIATED – 10 SECONDS TO EVACUATE SOUL. HOST BODY RENDERED PARALYZED AND DEFENSELESS. ]
The game engine immediately initiated the extraction sequence. A blinding pillar of violet light ripped itself out of the Kobold’s failing biology and shot straight back into the dark clouds.
Krug’s physical body gave out as he collapsed face-first onto the frozen moat. His dark scales were completely shattered with deep thermal burns scorched his flesh down to the bone. He lay motionless in the ice. But his chest rose and fell with a struggling breath.
Above the silent battlefield, the storm clouds parted. A massive golden system notification projected across the devastated hemisphere.
[ FATAL ERROR: FAITH ANCHOR LOSS. ]
[ ALL REMAINING DEITIES DELETED. ]
[ CONTINENTAL SIEGE CONCLUDED. ]
With that, the continental war came to an end.
Now, there were no Gods who stood against him as enemies.
He had conquered the continent.
However, there was still one more thing he needed to take care of.
“The Void-Eater.”
