Chapter 94: Sin Devourer vs. Iron Muscles (1)
After Ebony and Daniel’s shout, their enormous enemy reacted instantly, turning his gaze toward them. The movement was fast for such a massive body, and as soon as he turned, the entire basement seemed to grow smaller and heavier.
“Friends?” asked the enormous man dressed in poorly stitched pieces of cloth. His high-pitched voice didn’t match that monstrous body, and that only made the question sound worse in the middle of such an absurd scene.
“Umm… yes?” Ebony answered cautiously. Even dizzy and completely battered, she immediately understood that any foolish answer could end in another disaster, so she took a chance while buying time to think.
The enormous man began sniffing the air to verify whether they were his friends. His body was so deformed that his eyesight was poor and he depended on his sense of smell to navigate the world. His nose twitched several times before stiffening.
“Lies!” Not finding a familiar scent, the giant launched himself at the two companions. “Harden!”
{{Blood Magic: Iron Muscles}}
Reddish magic spread across his body like a thick layer, swelling that mass of flesh even further.
Each step he took was heavy and slow, but a single hit from that body would mean death due to the enormous amount of blood magic radiating from him. The basement floor trembled faintly with every step.
The first punch he threw was far too slow, and the two intruders dodged it easily. Even so, the wind from that arm alone made it clear that taking even one hit head-on would be a fatal mistake.
“Shorty, free Lucian quickly. I’ll handle this bastard!” Daniel shouted while dodging the giant’s attacks. His steps were still clumsy, but he still had that strange confidence that showed up in his worst fights.
Ebony, without wasting time, started running, but her dizziness made her collapse again. She didn’t get far before her body failed her once more, reminding her she was still far from recovered.
“Get up already and do your job!” the boy said, gripping his twin axes while beginning to answer the giant’s attacks. Daniel couldn’t afford too much distraction, but he still shouted at her between strikes.
“It’s not that easy, idiot. I’m barely recovering from Mage’s Sickness!” the blonde shouted, trying to stand and walk with difficulty. Every word cost her breath, and even so she kept dragging herself toward Lucian however she could.
“Stop whining, or do you want to switch places?!” the boy replied while his axes seemed to do no damage to the skin of his opponent. The blades struck, barely bit in, and bounced away as if they were cutting hardened leather reinforced with iron.
Even so, despite her efforts, Ebony collapsed again a meter before reaching her friend dressed in pink. The distance was ridiculous, but in her condition that ridiculous distance felt like an entire abyss between her and Lucian.
“To hell with it, I’ll do it myself,” Daniel said, ready to finish his battle quickly.
{{Warrior Art: Magic Edge}}
Magic slid along his axes, extending the blade with a tense glow, trying to compensate where his strength alone was no longer enough.
Dodging one final strike, the boy jumped, aiming to cut the giant’s neck with his magic-wrapped axes. His muscles were tough, but his neck, no matter how large the rest of his body was, was still thin. It was the best option.
But at that moment a scream escaped his opponent.
“Heh… Discharge!”

The monster’s response was immediate, as if he had been waiting for that exact moment to stop holding back.
In an instant, the giant moved his body and shielded his neck with his forearm, taking the blow. This time his body began turning red and droplets of blood started emerging from his muscles. The flesh vibrated as if it were boiling.
When Daniel tried to pull his weapons from the giant’s flesh, they refused to come out, because his enemy tensed his muscles and trapped the pair of axes. That second of surprise cost him dearly, because he couldn’t move away or reorganize.
In that instant of hesitation, while trying to free his weapons, the mountain of deformed muscle suddenly increased its speed and slammed its fist into the boy’s chest. The impact sounded dry, brutal, far too powerful for a single arm.
Daniel’s body shot upward in a single second, smashing through floor after floor until he was blasted out through the mansion’s roof several meters into the air. The force of the blow tore the house open as if it were made of cardboard.
After crashing onto the roof, Daniel began coughing blood. His ribs were broken and his axes had been left floors below, trapped in the flesh of his enemy. He barely managed to stay conscious while the pain crushed his entire torso.
“(What the hell… That was monstrous… I’ve never felt that kind of strength before)” the boy thought, only to watch in horror as his enemy jumped out of the hole in the roof from the basement. Not even that hit had been enough to stop him.
“You are very small, you will make a nice doll,” the giant said in a high-pitched voice while taking heavy steps toward his enemy. The words came out with a sick calmness, as if he were already imagining what he would do with him.
“Heh… well, at least let my dress match my eyes,” the boy said sarcastically, his chin stained with blood. Even while spitting red, he kept smiling with that stupidity of his that sometimes looked like courage.
The mountain of muscle, without waiting another second, raised both arms to deliver his final blow. There was no playfulness in that movement, only the simple intention of crushing what remained of the boy right there.
“(I can’t believe I’m going to die and turn into a maniac’s toy… At least I’ll leave a damn mark on your hand)” the boy thought as he stared straight at the clenched fists descending toward his face. He didn’t look away.
A massive explosion erupted on the roof. The wooden beams shattered, and people in the street ran away when they saw the scene from afar. The entire mansion groaned under the impact as if it could not withstand another one.
The mansion was now riddled with holes from the roof to the basement. The line of destruction was so clean and absurd that it looked like the trail left by a beast tearing through each floor by force.
There, in the middle of a crater, Daniel lay barely breathing after crashing through every floor. Dust, blood, and splinters of wood covered him almost completely, yet somehow he was still alive.
The giant landed in front of him, curious to see his toy still breathing. With difficulty, but still alive. He leaned forward slightly, as if the abnormal resistance amused him more than finishing him off.
However, something even stranger had happened, because when the enormous assassin looked at his hand, he saw that a piece of flesh was missing. It wasn’t a scratch or a shallow wound, but a chunk cleanly torn away.
At that moment, Daniel’s body began to emanate a dark magic, an ancient magic.
It was the magic of the undead.
