“Yes, I also leveled up and got some items” Alex whispered back.

The player came close to Alex’s ear “Don’t let other NPC know that you killed anyone, or else you would be hunted down”

Finally, it was Alex’s turn and he quickly brought out the item he has out of his inventory.

The merchant examine the item he brought and offered him 40 coins for all of them.

Alex wasted no time in collecting the 40 coins and kept it in his storage, he exited the merchant store and wanted to find his next target.

Of course, he can leave the newbie village if he wanted to but he didn’t know if a chance like this can come again, NPC outside the newbie village are stronger than some of the players.

Once a player reaches Level 2 they can exit the newbie village but most of them choose to stay and collect more XP before leaving.

Alex was walking down the street looking around for his next target when he came across a group of players.

“Hey bro, wanna join us for the hunt?” one of the players asked him, they were four in total.

“A powerful wolf was spotted in the far end of the forest and we want to hunt it down,” the player said.

“Okay I’m in,” Alex said and came close to them, their in-game names appeared on their head, but only the names were showing.

“Reaper, do you have any good weapons?” Beast asked.

“I only have a blunt dagger, do you guys have good weapons”

“Yea, we bought some and stole some from NPCs” Cain replied.

There were now five in total including Alex, there were Beast, Cain, Niceboy, Spree, and Reaper which was Alex.

The group entered the forest with high expectations to kill the wolf.

“Who is going to deliver the final blow,” Reaper asked them.

“Anyone can kill the wolf, but if you kill the wolf and obtain the XP you won’t have a share in the item dropped” Beast replied, he was the founder of this small group of newbies.

The group stealthily walked far into the forest before they heard a growl and quickly hid themselves.

The players carefully walked forward and noticed a small open clearing, they kept walking forward and stopped when they had a clear view of the open space.

They all looked and saw the wolf they were hunting for.

“Reaper what class are you?” Beast asked.

“Assassin” Alex replied.

“Okay, so we have two swordsmen, one assassin, one archer, and one Marksman”

“First, the two of you with long-range weapons should look for a tree to climb on that would give you a clear view of the wolf” Beast said and the archer and Marksman left the group.

Cain and Niceboy were the people with long range weapons, they found a tree to climb on and signaled the rest of the group.

“Okay, we will go as planned, let’s go,” Beast said and the players went into action.

The wolf was just resting on the grass unaware of the danger it was facing, or the opposite, the players were planning to kill the wolf unaware of the danger they were getting into.

“Now” Beast shouted and the wolf raised its head.

A stone flew through the air creating a slight whistling sound as it went straight to the wolf’s head.

The stone hit the wolf perfectly in the head and it fell down.

The archer already aimed the wolf, he fired an arrow straight at the wolf on the ground and it pierced the wolf.

“I don’t think we need to attack, this battle will be over pretty quick” Beast smiled.

The wolf stood up and instead of attacking the wolf stood still and howl loudly, enough for half of the forest to hear.

“What is it doing, attack him” Beast shouted.

Alex knew what it was doing, it was calling for help, this is very bad, Alex quickly slip away and ran far from the wolf, the other players kept attacking the wolf till they killed the wolf, little did they know that the forest had been surrounded by wolves.
