“Adonis, dude, you were awesome out there,” said a chubby young man while Adonis took the seat beside him.

“You think so? I feel she will kill me.”

“Haha, true. That’s our Ice Goddess for you.” The chubby boy slapped Adonis’ back in the heat of the moment.

Feeling it a little improper, Adonis felt slightly awkward.

The boy extended his chubby hand.

She hadn’t turned around yet, but she already knew exactly who had entered.

“You have exactly ten seconds to explain why you followed me here, Kingsbane,” she said without turning back.

Adonis didn’t close the door behind him fearing her outburst.

Isabella’s expression still didn’t change. But the frost on her cup spread faster, crawling down toward her fingers.

“And I couldn’t help myself. I spoke without thinking. If that was rude in any way, I apologize.”

He bowed his head, to make her feel how serious he was.

In all honestly, he really came like Isbella Frostbite. Not as a teacher, but a figure to love.

Her beauty, her coldness capture his heart.

This time, Isabella studied him for a long time. The frost on the cup slowed, then stopped.

“You think pretty words will erase tardiness and insolence?”

“No. But maybe they’ll earn me a second chance to prove I’m not just another arrogant noble brat.”

Hearing this, her annoyance gave birth to something else. Maybe it was curiosity.

He turned to leave, then paused at the door.

“Out,” she shouted dangerously.

Adonis laughed softly and slipped through the door before she could summon her Absolute Zero Sword Soul and turn him into an ice sculpture.

Back in the hallway, he exhaled a breath of relief.

He was scared, very scared. But his effort should have paid off. Even if its a little.
