“It seems that somehow, the Jiangshi made their way out of the city, they caught my scent and are now chasing after me. We don’t have time to chit chat here, so don’t say anything and just see what I’m doing.”

Yun Shu was running while explaining to Bai Yubxian shortly, at the same time, Bai Yunxian was getting dizzy being carried away by Yun Shu.

Yun Shu was thinking about all this as she was marching in hiding, however, Bai Yunxian didn’t know her real intentions all along the way.

Suddenly, the bush beside them came to an end as they discovered themselves in a large, empty place in the middle of the forest.

“No, what is this? Have we run in the wrong place again?”

Bai Yunxian panicked as he held Yun Shu’s hand tightly, this forest was like a maze that couldn’t be found an exit.

“Calm down, this place looks safer than other places. Follow me like this, we need to inspect this place before getting in a conclusion.”

In Yun Shu’s mind, there was something completely different going on as she almost ended up grinning. Yun Shu’s panicked voice made Bai Yunxian feel happy as he nodded his head quickly, but paused in the middle.

He wanted to get the affectionate words and warm embrace of Yun Shu for himself. But he won’t care about him if he were to say he is alright, right?

As the thought suddenly came into his mind, Bai Yunxian looked at Yun Shu and hesitated a little before nodding his head, tears welled up in his eyes, clearly indicating that he was hurt.

Damn!

This isn’t what I wanted!

After watching Bai Yunxian get hurt, Yun Shu’s confidence went down as her face looked sullen.

She didn’t come here with the intention of hurting him, she just wanted to take the opportunity for him to get strong.

As Yun Shu realised what was going on, she turned around to see Bai Yunxian, who was trying his best to stand up and run towards Yun Shu.

However, he didn’t had the chance to get to her as the ground under him cracked in two sides, turning into a long and large abyss.

“Bai Yunxian…!”

The last thing he leard was Yun Shu’s panicked voice as she shouted and tried to catch him, before he fell in the deep abyss of darkness.

’Don’t worry about me, My Lord… I’ll definitely… come back to you…’

Bai Yunxian was happy to see the panicked expression on Yun Shu’s face.

’He was worrying for me, it feels… great.’

On the other hand, Yun Shu saw Bai Yunxian and some of the zombies vanishing in the crack as she felt both anxious and happy at the same time.
