Sol scratched his cheek embarrassingly.

Little Abdu snorted.

“You did it because you thought I would help if something happened. However, I wouldn’t have been able to suppress this thing with my current strength if it had released that burst of Blade Intent. Luckily, your absurd talent allowed it to recognize you as its Master.”

“…Whatever you guys obtain in the Subsidiary Palaces is yours I have no right to take those Inheritances from you. If we succeed in obtaining Immortal Shen’s Inheritance, we’ll figure out how to split it then.”

Heon-Tae couldn’t stop himself from smiling when he heard that while nodding.

Sol stared at Heon-Tae with a serious expression on his face.

Heon-Tae nodded once again and got ready to leave the pavilion with Sol. That’s what he thought Sol meant, but he was suddenly held back.

Sol added that last part when he saw that Heon-Tae was still hesitating.

They scanned the hall before the one in the middle sighed in relief but then scolded the two who were once guarding the hall.

“It looked like it was really just an accident. Next time don’t leave your post so easily!”

The two disciples apologized before the youth that scolded them snorted and walked out of the hall.

“What’s up with him? He’s in the same year as us but he’s acting so arrogant just because he’s serving the second Young Master.”

After closing the double doors, the two youths went back to their positions.

Outside the hall, Heon-Tae looked down at Sol’s hand and asked.

“Is that the Rune Immortal’s Legacy? To think it was able to do something like this.”

Heon-Tae paused, then looked at Sol.

“I-I didn’t mean it like that.”

“I understand what you mean, Master always leaves without an explanation. He’s doing it right now.”

The two stopped and leaned against the wall. Two disciples with blades attached to their waists walked past them before they continued down the hall.

Heon-Tae looked back at them still in amazement that they were walking and talking so casually without being discovered.

“Do the others feel the same way?”

Heon-Tae looked ahead as he replied.

“They do, and we’re having an ongoing argument with Eldest Brother on whether to use this Inheritance to rebuild the Forgotten Sect or form a new one.”

“If you formed a new one wouldn’t that be disregarding what the Forgotten Sect went through because of the Six Holy Sects and Five great Clans? Don’t you want revenge?”

Heon-Tae brows furrowed.

“When my mother told me about the Forgotten Sect, her voice was filled with sadness as well as hatred. Sadness and hatred she said she didn’t want to pass on to me only for them to become a burden in the future. Brother Sol, let me ask you this, is it right for the older generation to pass on their grievances to the younger generation so they can continue a cycle of hatred?”
