It didn’t take long for Sol to find a teleportation circle that could take him to Son’s home city. He thought it would be expensive, but for some reason, a manager of some kind came and personally waved his fees.

Sol found it strange, but he was in too much of a hurry to question the situation.

After he was teleported to the city, which was called Bae City, he rushed to the city’s east district. However, Little Zeel’s head suddenly poked out of his robes.

“Awoo…”

Little Zeel’s tired voice entered Sol’s ears, and he came to a sudden stop.

“Sorry Little Zeel, are you alright?”

Sol took out Little Zeel from his robes to hold him up and examine him.

All his running around had disturbed his sleep.

“Awoo…”

Little Zeel was lethargic as he lifted his paw and patted Sol’s forehead as if to assure him, he was alright.

“You say that Little Zeel, but you’re hardly eating and you’re sleeping for most of the day. I don’t know what to do. Is it that I have to bring you back to the Ibbian Mountain Range?”

Little Zeel immediately shook his head at Sol’s proposal.

Sol seeing this couldn’t help but sigh. He then looked around and saw that after walking for a while there were fewer people on the road.

“I don’t know if this will work but tell me if you feel any better.”

Sol said this before his palms began radiating a green glow. He was trying to use his Innate Dharma’s healing ability to help Little Zeel.

There wasn’t anything physically wrong with Little Zeel, but maybe his Innate Dharma can still help somehow.

After Sol activated his Innate Dharma, Little Zeel felt a stream of energy flow into his body. He perked up and his lethargic feeling diminished by quite a bit.

Sol saw this and was pleasantly surprised, however, his Innate Dharma suddenly trembled and the energy that was flowing into Little Zeel stopped. It was Wood Aether Energy, but something was off about it.

Sol frowned, he didn’t know what that energy was, but it was helping Little Zeel, so he urged his Innate Dharma to continue. However, a second later he suddenly became light-headed, and he almost tripped over his foot.

“Awoo!”

Little Zeel wriggled out of his hold and jumped on top of his head.

Sol recovered and said.

“I’m fine Little Zeel, and it looks like this is helping you somehow.”

Sol reached up to hold Little Zeel once again, but Little Zeel seemed displeased as he swatted his hands away.

Sol tried to convince Little Zeel to let him continue, but Little Zeel vehemently refused to absorb any more of that energy.

After a while, Sol could only give up since he couldn’t force Little Zeel.

The two then continued towards the eastern district, meanwhile, the number of people in this area was slowly decreasing.

However, Sol didn’t take notice of this as he was thinking back on the energy his Innate Dharma was supplying Little Zeel.

It wasn’t his doing; he had just activated its healing ability when his Innate Dharma started releasing that strange energy.

Sol decided to close his eyes and sink his consciousness inside his body to view his Innate Dharma. But as soon as he laid eyes on it, he was taken aback.

The seedling had grown quite a bit in the three years since he had awakened it, but now about one year’s worth of growth had suddenly disappeared.

’It actually weakened.’

In these three years, there hasn’t been a day that he didn’t sit down and examine his Innate Dharma.

And Sol found out three things about it.

As for the third thing he figured out… it was rather strange, and he still didn’t know if he was just imagining it. It happened when he was holding Son’s Sword Innate Dharma back then, but Sol didn’t want to jump to conclusions, so he hasn’t thought about it that much.

While Sol was in his thoughts, he approached a large gate that had a massive mansion on the other side.

Few people were walking around this area of the city, most likely due to this being the Mansion Estate of the City Lord.

The jade slip Byeong-Ho gave Sol said that Son, or Bae Son, was the eldest son of the Bae City’s City Lord, Bae Yun-Ho.

Sol felt rather unwelcome as he approached this large gate, it was obvious not many people would dare approach it.

The two guards at the gate saw Sol approaching and their hands reached for the swords on their waist. However, upon looking closer at Sol’s robes that had the golden dragon design on it, they immediately let go of their swords.

Sol noticed this and calmly walked up to them before cupping his fist.

“Hello, my name is Sol. I am a disciple from the Martial Alliance Academy and a friend of Brother Son. I came here to visit him.”

The guards looked at Sol in shock as he took out his Disciple Token to show them.

Sol’s Disciple Token was different from normal disciples’ own. They were color-coded like the robes they wore, but Sol’s Disciple Token was purple instead of yellow. That meant he was a specially recruited disciple. However, this fact may not be the reason why these two guards were so shocked.

“Did you say your name was Sol?”

One guard asked before the two glanced down at Sol’s black bracelets.

Sol was confused but still nodded in confirmation. Immediately after, one of the guards blurted out.

“So, you were the one who battle Young Master Byeong-Ho at the Plum Blossom Gathering four days ago?”

Sol looked taken aback by the guard’s words.

Sol then remembered the frantic manager that waved his fees for the teleportation here.

The other guard elbowed the guard who blurted out those words before he cupped his fist and said.

“Young Master Sol, if you are a friend of our Young Master then please enter.”

This guard then turned and opened the gate before motioning for Sol to enter. After entering, the guard then led Sol into the massive and luxurious-looking mansion.

Meanwhile, this whole situation was starting to make Sol think that being a public figure wasn’t so bad. If it made things more convenient for him then he didn’t mind at all.

Suddenly, Sol remembered Yoon-Jae’s words that one shouldn’t only have strength but also a reputable background.

Just having a reputable background automatically made one a public figure with a lot of standing in Jianghu.

Sol’s situation was slightly different as he became a public figure because of his talents, and not because of his background.

In fact, his background might just send people into a rage, especially the fact that he was the disciple of Cheonma.

All in all, Sol was beginning to think being famous wasn’t so bad.

After leading Sol down a few hallways, passing a few servants as well as residents in fancy robes, the guard stopped in front of two large doors that were shut tight.

“Young Master Sol, this is the Young Master’s room. But I have to inform you that the Young Master hasn’t been himself since the incident. The City Lord is worried about him and hopes he will get better, so he requested that I allow anyone who comes to visit him to enter the mansion in hopes of improving his condition. However, ever since he left the Huashan Branch Sect a year ago after the incident, no one has visited him.”

With that, Sol found out why he was taken straight to Son’s room without any questions. He gave the guard a nod, who then bowed before walking away.

While looking at the double doors, Sol let out a sigh. He then braced himself as he raised his hand to knock on them. However, before he could, he was interrupted by a loud voice.

“Who are you?! What are you doing in front of my brother’s room?!”

Sol was slightly startled by the voice, and he hurriedly turned around to see a young girl behind.

She looked around one or two years older than him. As she stomped over to Sol, the eye-catching bright red dress she was wearing made her resemble a ferocious red storm.

“Hello, my name is Sol. I’m a friend of-”

Sol tried to introduce himself, but the girl suddenly grabbed his hand before said cutting him off.

“I don’t know who you are, but my brother said he doesn’t want any visitors.”

The girl then began dragging Sol away from the double doors.

Sol was momentarily taken aback by this girl’s actions, but he quickly recovered and started explaining while still being dragged by the arm.

“No, wait. I think there’s been a misunderstanding. I just came to visit Brother Son, I promised him I would a year ago, and he-”

“I don’t care who you are, you’re unwelcome here. My brother said he doesn’t want any visitors so no visitors! Who brought you here? That person needs to be fired!”

Sol was confused. That wasn’t what the guard told him moments ago.

With a slight frown, Sol put his foot down literally and the girl dragging him came to a halt.

She tried pulling on Sol’s arm to get him to move, but he wouldn’t budge.

The girl angrily turned around and asked with an unfriendly glare.

“What are you doing?”

Sol looked at this forceful girl and immediately clapped back.

“Shouldn’t I be asking you that question?”
