“WHAT??!!”

Marcus shouted as the word burst out of his mouth, and his seat scraped loudly against the floor as he half rose from his seat, his eyes burning with fury and disbelief.

“One of our students was missing and you are telling me now?” Marcus shouted again, his voice echoing across the meeting room as his clenched fist slammed down on the round table with enough force to rattle the documents lying on it.

“Do you realize that if this word gets out, the academy’s name will be dragged into the mud once again?” he growled with barely contained rage, his aura flaring as his anger continued to surge.

Andrea did not flinch at his outburst. She remained seated, her posture remained calm, and her expression was unreadable as she looked directly at Marcus.

“Calm down, Marcus. The academy works under me, not you, i don’t question you with the Celestial Army’s affairs, i don’t want you to question me about the academy’s affairs.”

Andrea spoke in an even and unreactive tone, as if his shouting had not affected her at all.

“We will find him.”

The professors seated around the table shifted uneasily, and the atmosphere inside the room grew heavy and tense, as everyone present realized that the situation had already slipped beyond normal control.

Marcus stared at Andrea for several seconds, clearly frustrated by her lack of visible concern, before he finally sat back down, although his posture now changed to stiff and tense, and his jaw was clenched tightly.

Kevin merely stood beside the table without reacting. He had witnessed Marcus erupt in anger too many times over the years, and to him, this display felt almost routine.

Kevin waited for a few seconds, allowing the tension to settle, before he spoke again in a steady voice.

“Now, I would like to proceed with the second development related to the demonic cults,” Kevin said as he turned slightly toward the projection wall.

“During the first year, Archon William Kaiser’s interrogation, he identified Professor Steve as a demonic spy,” Kevin continued.

“Everyone present at that time must have observed how William lifted Steve by the head and used a technique to forcefully reveal the hidden demonic transformation.”

As Kevin spoke, several professors unconsciously swallowed, their minds replaying the horrible memory of Steve’s body collapsing and melting into a grotesque slurry of corrupted flesh and bone.

That scene had left a lasting impression on everyone who had witnessed it, especially when they realized that a colleague they had trusted and worked with for years had been a demonic spy all this time.

“At first, we assumed that this identification was the result of a special ability possessed by student William,” Kevin said calmly. “That assumption was only partially correct.”

Kevin paused briefly before continuing.

“Student William does possess an ability that allows him to detect demonic mutations, possibly a talent he prefers not to disclose in full detail. However, he also shared additional information regarding the mutation itself and the methods used to identify it.”

Kevin’s voice hardened slightly as he continued.

“That information is extremely critical for our efforts against the demonic cults, especially for identifying spies hidden within our own system.”

The words immediately captured everyone’s attention, particularly the fact that such information had come from a student.

“The demonic cults have developed a new method of demonification,” Kevin explained. “Instead of replacing mana cores with demonic cores, they now implant what is known as a brain seed directly into the target’s brain.”

A ripple of unease passed through the room.

“The target ingests a demonic seed that initiates transformation throughout the body,” Kevin said.

“The body undergoes changes in a manner similar to the original method, but the mana core remains untouched and intact.”

Kevin continued.

“The individual gains the ability to use both mana and demonic energy. Their mind becomes corrupted in the same way as traditional cult members, and they become slaves to the cult leader.”

“Impossible!!!” Blood Rose spoke sharply, her voice filled with disbelief and cold fury.

“How could they create such a thing? The ability to wield two energies at once?”

Her crimson eyes narrowed dangerously. “What in the world are they doing?”

Before Kevin could respond, Professor Morgan spoke in a suspicious tone.

“What if that brat is making all of this up?” Morgan asked.

“I heard that recently he even received permission from Principal Andrea to take a mission, despite taking missions being prohibited until further notice.”

“What if he made things up to get Andrea’s approval letter.”

Kevin shook his head slowly.

“I do not believe he is lying,” Kevin replied firmly. “Recently, we uncovered another spy belonging to the Cult of Lilith.”

The projection shifted, and the face of a female elf appeared on the wall.

“She is Nia,” Kevin said.

“A junior professor in my department and she was affiliated with the Cult of Lilith. She acted as Steve’s aide during his operations and was responsible for hijacking the academy’s trial domain during the recent attack.”

Kevin continued with a steady gaze.

“She and Steve were frequently seen together, and their interactions were dismissed by others as nothing more than a budding romantic relationship.”

Kevin paused briefly.

“After Steve’s identity was exposed, Principal Andrea personally kept Nia under her observation. When William revealed the methods to identify brain-seeded individuals, Miss Andrea conducted a direct investigation.”

Kevin’s voice dropped slightly.

“At the end of that investigation, she successfully identified Nia as a spy.”

As Kevin finished speaking, he took out a transparent crystal from his inventory and slid it across the table.

Marcus reached out and picked it up, his eyes narrowing as he examined it closely. Embedded inside the crystal was a black demonic seed, pulsing faintly.

“This is the seed,” Kevin said. “Miss Andrea personally extracted it from Nia’s brain.”

A shudder passed through the professors seated around the table as the word “extracted” settled in their minds.

They had no doubt that Andrea’s method involved direct dissection on alive specimen using her dragon claws, without mercy.

“Brain-seeded individuals exhibit several common symptoms,”

“They lose their sense of smell, a black patch gradually forms on their backs, and purification spells used near the head cause extreme pain.”

He looked toward Marcus.

“And if purification magic is applied directly, the result mirrors Steve’s fate.”

Kevin then added, “Student William had used a purification-type spell during his confrontation with Steve.”

Marcus looked at Andrea with a serious stare.

“You are telling me that brat told you all of this?” Marcus asked slowly.

Silence followed as Andrea simply nodded without elaborating.

“Why don’t we restrain that boy and extract everything he knows?” Morgan suggested. “Surely he did not reveal everything.”

Every professor turned toward Andrea, waiting for her answer.

Andrea smiled faintly.

“Hehehe,” Andrea chuckled lightly. “Morgan, you do not know his master.”

Andrea’s eyes sharpened slightly.

“If she heard what you just said, you would be skinned alive, and I would not be able to stop it.”

She added calmly, “More accurately, I would not stop it, since we are like siblings.”

Morgan’s eyes widened as shock flashed across his face. The implications alone were terrifying.

“And not just her,” Andrea continued. “Even Elder Storm Dragon visited my office recently, and he showed clear interest in that boy.”

The room erupted into murmurs.

“The last time the Elder showed such interest,” Andrea added, “was centuries ago, when Klaus was a student here.”

She leaned back slightly.

“You cannot touch him for your convenience.”

“We must build goodwill with our students. They are the future, and many of them will surpass us.”

As Andrea finished speaking, an awkward silence settled over the room, heavy with unspoken implications.

Morgan sighed and chose not to speak further.

Everyone present felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of revelations.

After a moment, Marcus spoke again.

“By the way,” Marcus asked Kevin, “did that brat tell you about the missing reports as well?”

Kevin shook his head slowly.

“No,” Kevin replied. “I received a mysterious letter.”

“What?” Andrea asked, genuinely surprised for the first time, until now she had thought that Kevin had deduced all that on his own.

Kevin met her gaze.

“I received a letter from someone calling themselves the Eternal Sovereign.”
