Andrea returned to the guest lobby, but the tension clinging to her face refused to fade, no matter how carefully she tried to compose herself.

Then, with a light laugh, she gestured toward the three men seated across from her. “I am here for the same reason as they are.

Her playful expression softened slightly as she continued, “Before going to see her, I thought it would be wiser to come here first and ask you directly. What exactly is happening with all these missing people?”

Andrea clicked her tongue in annoyance. “Tsk. You do not look worried about your daughter at all.”

“Well,” Selena replied smoothly, “I heard she has not left the academy yet, thanks to this gentleman.” She tipped her head toward Klaus.

Klaus returned her smile briefly and then focused on his tea, pretending not to notice the tension slowly thickening the air.

Andrea sighed heavily and walked back to her seat, lowering herself into it with visible fatigue.

“Look,” she said, rubbing her temple, “none of you need to worry. We are already taking action regarding the missing people.”

She raised her gaze and spoke firmly. “As for your children, tell them not to leave the academy. The Celestial Army will handle the situation. Their friends will be rescued.”

Her tone sharpened as irritation crept in. “I am not a babysitter, so do not expect me to personally monitor your…”

“Explain yourself calmly!” Yue snapped, stepping forward.

Raegor Babylon, the Beastfolk Emperor, inhaled deeply before speaking.

“A few days ago, Sara’s maid went missing without a trace. Sara caused an uproar and demanded to search for her personally. When we denied her request, she acted like she had accepted our decision.”

His fists clenched. “But a few nights later, she left the tribe under the cover of darkness.”

Sweat trickled down his brow as he continued. “Since Kara and Sara share a mental link, I came here to find Kara so she could help me locate her sister.

But now…” His voice faltered. “Now I have searched the whole academy, and I cannot find Kara at all.”

A heavy sense of dread settled over everyone present.

Footsteps echoed sharply against the stone pathways of the academy grounds as Andrea led the group through the premises.

The mood had shifted completely. What had been a tense discussion had now become an urgent search for Raegor’s daughter.

“Is this the last place you saw them?” Yue asked Klaus.

“Yes,” Klaus replied. “They were here.”

Yue nodded and stepped forward, positioning herself precisely at the spot indicated. She closed her eyes, and the air around her subtly changed.

Her eyes opened again, but they were no longer normal.

Their colors shifted rapidly as intricate sigils appeared across her irises. A faint glow surrounded her body, and her pupils narrowed unnaturally, flickering as if reflecting countless unseen threads of fate.

The group stood back in silence as Yue performed her divination.

When the glow finally faded, Yue staggered slightly, her breathing uneven as she came out of the trance. She clenched her teeth, fury flashing across her face.

“These little shits,” she muttered angrily.

Andrea rushed forward and placed a steadying hand on her shoulder. “What did you see?” she asked quietly.

Yue exhaled sharply, her expression dark. “They have left the academy.”

The children they had been trying to protect, the very ones they had warned not to act recklessly, had already stepped beyond the academy’s walls and into danger.
