“There you are,” Will said with a smile.

He picked up the cat gently, holding it like a baby.

He untied the scroll and opened it.

As he read, his brows slowly furrowed.

By the time he finished, his mood had completely soured.

Without thinking, he stood up and tossed the cat aside as if its existence didn’t matter. It landed on a curtain and began walking along the wall.

“Fuck… now I’ll have to live alone again,” he muttered.
