Something enormous began taking shape.

A gigantic and majestic swan appeared.

Its pupils glowed orange like miniature suns.

The swan looked furious.

In the next instant, the swan was in front of Will.

Its talons slammed him to the ground, pinning him in place. Its massive face leaned down inches from his own, screeching violently.

“Ohhh… shit,” Will muttered.

Instinct kicked in.

Stellar fire ignited in his hands as he thrust them toward the creature’s talons, trying to burn them away.

The flames touched the talons.

The swan shrieked in pain and leapt backward, wings flaring.

Its eyes widened as it stared at the stellar fire.

Shock was written clearly on its face.

It looked at William as if it had just seen a ghost.
