Within the next few seconds, Lana arrived outside the mission hall.

The mission hall was a huge room surrounded by glossy floor-to-ceiling windows. The university grounds and the practical combat ground were visible through the windows, adding a touch of reality to the fairy-like setting of the mission hall.

The white marble floor glistened under the bright ceiling lights.

On the left side of the hall was a colossal digital board displaying many missions along with credits. It automatically shifted from L-Rank missions to G-Rank missions.

Each mission stayed on the digital board for 4 minutes, giving enough time for all the students to read and decide on the missions.

If a student decides on a mission, they can then walk toward the digital kiosk, log in with their student credentials, and accept the mission they are interested in. In case no other students have applied for it or the mission hasn’t been cancelled by the issuer, the student receives a receipt, which they have to present to the front desk.

The receipt is then checked by the staff, who report about the anomalies found in the mission in case it had any and issue several warnings, along with a mission backpack.

Usually, the mission backpacks contain food, medicinal supplies, a 1 km teleportation talisman, and a few other necessities that depend on the mission.

For instance, if a mission takes place in a forest area, the staff will issue equipment such as ropes, knives, and a survival guide.

However, it wasn’t free. In case a person uses up a teleportation talisman, they would have to pay 10 credits!

These staff were also responsible for verifying whether or not the mission was accepted by the student who lies under the department they are in.

This was a way to ensure that even a soul cultivator could survive. Otherwise, the exoray and other cultivators will act like sharks and won’t let small fish survive.

“Name?” His voice had softened a notch.

“Lana,” Lana answered politely.

“Full name.” Declan corrected himself, knowing he had made a mistake. There were many Lanas in the university.

“None.” Lana’s voice carried a rare hint of detachment. “Please search the mystic department directly; it doesn’t have many students to begin with.”

Declan frowned but did as Lana had directed. To his surprise, he indeed found Lana’s profile under the mystic department. With the photo comparison, his suspicion vanished into thin air, and a respectful smile appeared on his face.

“I apologize for the misunderstanding earlier. Miss Lana, you are good to go. Here is the address and the appointment time. This mission has no anomalies. If you have any questions, please ask.”

“Why is it ranked under E-rank?”

Taking a deep breath, Lana heard Declan’s steady and composed voice: “And the mansion in which the lady lives is huge too; it spans across 3000 square meters.”

Lana sighed in her heart but swallowed back the complaint as she took the backpack and card given by Declan and left.

Since the other teachers were still on some kind of mission, for the upcoming two weeks, only cultivation classes will be held, and Lana decided to utilize it to the max.

All the other lectures were replaced by the cultivation classes, and later, when the other professors return for the classes, the cultivation lectures will be cancelled till the professor catches up with the syllabus.

Staring at the sky, Lana murmured with despair, “If you hate me, just say so. Why torture me like this repeatedly?”

Mr. Crow used his wing and brushed it against Lana’s fake wig. “There! There! It’s just one mission.”

Lana froze for a heartbeat before her lips curved into a small smile. Though she masked it quickly, Mr. Crow’s beady eyes captured it all.
