Chapter 24: Cave Grinding

Eren had never really hunted anything dangerous in his modern life. But he killed some of the slimes and bunnies, if those counted as dangerous in a magical world.

He raised the long knife Emily gave him two weeks ago. He felt disgusted as he cut the bat-like thing that had jumped on him from the wall.

Eren from Earth was messing with Eren in this new universe. It was hard to suppress the burning disgust inside him. These things were bigger and screamed much more than bunnies.

After killing one creature, he took the wolves as an example and started shouting.

Aaahhhhh

Shouting really worked.

He felt his body getting more and more excited as he made a loud noise. His nerves and thoughts calmed as he focused on killing faster.

They were still puppies.

Eren followed the two wolves out of the cave. He expected to see a sunny flower garden. But when he saw the darkness outside, he was startled.

“Emily and the whole village must be wondering about me. Shit.”

After talking to the wolves to meet again tomorrow, he started running. He didn’t know if there were dangerous creatures in the forest at night. But he didn’t care, Emily was worried for him right now. He devoted all his strength to running faster.

He was like a blur, hard to see in the darkness, and he stepped out of the forest just 10 minutes later. He gulped when he saw the villagers sitting with Emily outside the village, holding torches.

“Hi. How are you, everyone?”

A few minutes later, Eren started apologizing to all the villagers who were worried about him.

He took a shower before dinner.

It looked like trouble when Emily didn’t join Eren in the bathroom. She stared coldly at him when he asked.

He was like a bad child who misbehaved and was terrified of his parents. His eyes stayed on the ground as he followed Emily to the restaurant. Eren felt really bad and was ready to do anything to make amends.

While he was eating, he remembered that he had not brought wood to the house today. “I need to go to Odir’s house.”

“Mm…” Emily kept chewing. She didn’t want to talk right now.

Eren hurried to Odir’s house and took two logs onto his shoulders as usual.

But they felt too light, so he tied on a few more and placed them all on his shoulders. People who saw him on the way were amazed.

While the physical strength of a normal person was 10, his body had multiple stats of 26.

He had some questions in his mind. In fact, as far as he felt, improving all his stats at the same time would give him huge advantages. If this +1 point advantage was not lost with each leveling up, Eren could do incredible things.

He wasted no time after that. He wrapped his arms around Emily’s slim waist, one hand gripping her neck, then kissed her. It was also so cute how Emily answered him right away, scolding him in a whisper.

But a simple kiss changed in an instant when the two of them accidentally sat down on the bed. Emily, who had looked like she wanted to keep Eren away a few seconds ago, suddenly clung to him. Emily’s hesitant tongue invited his tongue down into her sweet mouth.

He kicked the bedroom door to kiss the trembling and excited woman in his arms.

Maybe being on the top of a bed would help this time?

Just when he thought that Emily would forget what he had done, Eren saw something on Emily’s face.

Freeing her lips, the flushed woman looked at him with sad eyes. It was such an innocent and uplifting look that even Eren wasn’t sure what to do for a few seconds.

“You come home bloodied. And you have made friends with the wolves, long foes of the elves. Have you found a prettier girl than me among the wolves?”

Eren couldn’t quite understand what he heard at first. Then, realizing what was said, he began to laugh. He started kissing Emily again, who was looking at him with anger and jealousy.

Emily couldn’t think clearly after a minute. With Eren’s increasingly monstrous Charisma stat, she asked again.

“Have you been tricked by a female wolf?” She sounded serious.

“First of all, I’m yours and you’re mine. Please remember those words.” Eren tried not to laugh but couldn’t. “Second, I want you to look in the mirror and remember how beautiful you are. You might not know it, but humans never even think about being with animals…”

After a half-hour talk about human anatomy, sexual awareness, and how much he loved this pure hunter, Emily returned to normal.

Still, Eren saying humans would never be with animals was a little suspicious.

On Earth, there were no lamias, succubi, or humanoid beasts and intelligent species.

But Emily didn’t need to know those kinds of doubts.

“Hey, we should go check if Evon chose a class for you.”

Eren had been waiting a long time to hear Emily say that. Level 15 was, in many ways, only the beginning.

“I wonder what kind of class I’ll get. If I’m lucky… maybe something that lets me fly one day.”
