Daniel took the plate and settled it on his lap, his legs crossed comfortably on the bed.

“If you need anything else, just call me, okay?” She said before leaving her son’s room.

The moment the door clicked shut, he re-opened his grimbook while continuing to eat his meal.

He ate calmly, looking at the book.

Daniel’s body was tired, yet his thoughts raced in his mind.

In the end only one question gnawed at him above all others.

Before, the participants have to walk all the way to the distant Eagle kingdom. But this time the trials will be held in the nearest major town.

For Arcane village, it’s the Arcana town. The nearest town to the south.

For other villages, they have their own designated locations.

Such as, Raven town to the east, Moss town to the west and Cinder town to the north.

The priest also clearly mentioned the timing—11:30AM—before adding one final request.

Everybody turned their face toward’s Daniel, seated on the second to last bench.

“My child, please come in front” he beckoned gently.

Daniel rose from his seat and walked toward the makeshift stage. The priest placed his palm atop his head and closed his eyes, lifting his face upright toward’s the clear morning sky.

The priest blessed him with his pure holy words. Meanwhile, some students closed their eyes in reverence, some smiled proudly at him and some ignored him including teachers.

“May god bless you… and your family. In the name of god. Amen” he said, gently pulling his hands back.

Then with a final kindly smile, he waved to the class and walked away.

The rest of the class felt hollow, filled with boredom. The male teachers droned through their usual life lesson classes, rarely anybody listens to them.

But one thing was clear, without Elira the room lacked their usual spark.

Daniel’s mind was distracted, he barely heard a word. His eyes drifted toward’s the tent, where he had claimed Lady Elira fiercely. Just thinking about her slut face, made his shaft rock-hard again.

He slipped his left hand into his left pocket, to tame the growing hardness.

When the classes finally ended, he walked towards his home alone.

Halfway, he saw an elderly man looking in his mid-sixties struggling to pull the wagon wheel, wedged deeply in the roadside rut.

At first glance, Daniel thought of ignoring the old man, but seeing the determination in the old man’s trembling effort stirred something inside him.

With a quiet sigh, he approached extending a helping hand.

“Sir, you want some help?” He said with a neutral expression.

“Oh… young man. That would be great.” The old man replied gratefully and grabbed the left side of the wheel. While Daniel grabbed the right side firmly.

Together, they gripped the wheel on each side and heaved.

To their mutual shock, they lifted the wagon with almost embarrassing ease.

They both looked at each other.

The old man was flabbergasted by Daniel’s strength and Daniel was stunned by his own strength.

In that moment, someone called his name.

“Is that Daniel?” A familiar voice came behind him.

Daniel turned.

“Mom?”
