Chapter 55: Ch:55 Master Marco
Daniel hurried toward the town center. Only a few people stirred in the quiet streets of early morning. The air was cold, the wind sharp, and the sun had barely begun to rise.
He wore a green tunic paired with turmeric-colored trousers, a satchel slung over his shoulder, and a yellow poncho adorned with a lightning symbol at its center.
Within a few minutes, he reached the town center and saw many people wearing ponchos like his own. Some were talking in groups, others wandered alone, and a few had just arrived, like Daniel.
He arrived before the assigned master appeared.
“Haah… Haah… Haah…” Daniel huffed, trying to catch his breath.
Then he walked toward them, blending in with the others. By now, eight shamans had arrived, Daniel included.
A quarter of an hour later, a man appeared, seemingly in his early forties, riding a striking black-and-brown horse.
The man wore a storm-grey tunic fitted close to his body. A short, yellow cloak hung from one side of his neck, faintly threaded with silver that caught the light when he moved.
Below, dark leather trousers and sturdy boots, secured with brown leather straps, completed his attire. Every piece of him spoke of speed, restraint, and power barely held in check.
Beside him walked two figures in black robes, flanked by four armored knights carrying spears.
In all, ten shamans had gathered in the town center.
“Hello…! My young… shamans!” the man called, his voice loud and steady, hands resting on the reins.
Everyone turned their gaze toward him and approached calmly.
The man dismounted, quickly ran his fingers through his white hair, and stood tall with easy confidence.
“It’s an honour to be your master,” he said, his tone steady and authoritative. “I Marco Dante, from this day onward your strength, your failures fall under my watch.
The only thing you need to understand about me is, I do not tolerate laziness, nor reward recklessness, because we weild the element of lighting.
There is no spot for lazy people in my dictionary, Understood? Everyone?”
The young shamans stood straight and unmoving—only a few nodded.
“Good,” said Marco.
Marco then glanced over his shoulder and gave a brief nod to the black-robed figures. They turned and walked toward the gate, accompanied by four spear-bearing knights.
“So, does anyone have any questions?” he asked, glancing over them.
For a moment, everyone stood still, processing the questions they wanted to ask.
“Good. Now follow me,” Marco said. He mounted his horse and started moving forward.
Each shaman stood frozen in place, wondering what had just happened—Daniel included.
“Let’s move everyone,” a stranger said, breaking the silence.
“Yes, yes…” another echoed, nodding fervently.
“Wait… master Marco sir… I have a question…” another said, hurrying to catch up.
Soon, all ten shamans jogged after him, keeping pace.
“Status,” Daniel murmured.
————————
Name: Marco Z Dante
Age: 42
HP: 6000/6000
Mana: 4000/4000
Description: A disciplined yet impulsive person, driven by a passion to teach and a desire to create a lasting legacy.
————————
’What the fuck is this HP,” he muttered under his breath.
They left Arcana Town behind and headed toward the west, along the dirt path. It led into a tangled forest, where gnarled trees blocked the sun and every shadow seemed alive with hostile creatures and stinging insects.
“Sir, can you show us your powers?” a shaman asked calmly.
Marco didn’t even bother to respond, his gaze fixed straight ahead on the path.
“Master, can you shoot lightning from your fingers?” another shaman asked, curiosity edging his voice.
Marco raised his finger like a gun and unleashed a spark of lightning into the air.
*Zap!*
The white streak arced like a thin line before branching out like the limbs of a tree, crackling briefly, and then vanishing.
The shamans trailing him fell silent. They watched him, exchanging quiet nods.
“Woah, that was so… cool master.”
“Hey, did you see that lines… formed in the air.”
“Master, can I also become like you in future?”
The questions came one after another, as if they would never end. But Marco kept his mouth shut. He didn’t turn, didn’t answer—he simply showed them what they wanted to see.
When the questions finally faded, he spoke.
“My students, you should not limit yourself by becoming like me,” he said, eyes lifting to the sky. “You should strive to be better than me in every way.”
“Status” said Daniel, voice barely audible.

Mana: 3999/4000
——————
His eyes widened, then narrowed, locking onto Marco. “What the hell is this…? He only used a single mana to shoot that lightning branch and… What is this man made of?”
Daniel remembered the day he had tested Lady Elira—how her mana drained like crazy after she used her abilities to demonstrate them to him.
In front of Marco, it’s like the difference between earth and sky.
They finally arrived at the edge of the jungle.
The path disappeared into the jungle, dappled with sunlight. Ahead, the knights marched, flanked by two black-robed figures, while to the left, Marco walked alongside the young shamans.
“My students, listen carefully to what I’m about to say, okay?”
Some answered yes, some nodded, while others stayed silent, their ears fully open.
“In any element, there are infinite ways to use your powers once they are obtained. But just like trees have roots, those roots are called basic forms.
In the element of thunder, we have five basic forms, and six months to learn and train as much as we can,” Marco said in a steady tone.
“Yes, sir. We won’t disappoint you…” a student replied, determination glinting in his eyes.
A surge of excitement and determination coursed through every shaman—including Daniel, filling their hearts with fire and purpose, pushing them to strive harder and reach beyond their limits.
As they ventured deeper, Daniel spotted a patch of sunlight breaking through the dense forest—a circular clearing, plain and open, surrounded by towering jungle trees at the edges.
“Students, we arrived at our training ground,” Marco announced.
