Chapter 8: Ch:8 I don’t believe in Magic
A woman in her late twenties stood beside the priest, holding her book tight against her chest.
“Please, Lady Elira…” The priest lowered his hand, waving her forward to speak in front of the students.
From far, she looked small, almost fragile, yet impossibly tempting. That made him, cross his legs to hide the sudden strain in his hose.
Up close, on the stage, the truth was merciless.
Her white robe clung desperately to her heavy boobs, the fabric stretched so tight he could trace every angle of her curve. She looked less like a shaman and more like a goddess carved for sin.
“Good morning, everyone…” she said with a warm sweet voice.
She introduced herself with a perfect poise. Then, one by one, the students stood to do the same.
“…and you”
“I’m daniel and my father is a farmer…” he answered with an innocent looking face.
His left hand stayed buried in his left pocket, fingers clenched around his cock.
Most of the students were farmers’ childrens. Only a few came from slightly better homes. Once the introductions ended, the priest bowed out, leaving Elira alone with the other teachers.
The class lasts for four hours, normally split evenly among the four regular teachers.
Today, however, the other three lingered in the corners like forgotten statues, only to watch her teach.
Magic, they silently agreed, was far more important than literature, and none of them wanted to waste a single minute of Lady Elira’s time. She could have the full four hours, and they would stand there gladly.
“Lady Elira… what kind of magic can you do?” A boy blurted from the crowd half-standing.
Elira smiled gently with indulgent, “Please, sit down, you don’t need to stand.”
He dropped back down on his seat.
Elira rolled her sleeve up. Her pale skin and slender wrist flashing in the sunlight. She held out her palm. A flame flickered to life, blue at the center, orange licking the edges.
“Woah…” everybody couldn’t help but stare at her powers, including Daniel.
A girl named Emily raised her hand.”But how, lady Elira…?”
“It’s magic,” Elira said with a low voice. ” You see, it’s just a touch of nature’s power to bend reality. At first you have to believe it before imagining it.
It’s also not easy for a normal person to believe it at first, but once you set your own beliefs, everything can be possible,” she said softly.
Her words flowed through the room like warm silk. Every student’s gaze stayed captivated, hands under their chins, eyes wide and shining as they listened to her.
But Daniel wasn’t buying a single word. Still in disbelief.
He raised his hand high, eyebrows arched with curiosity.
Elira’s gaze locked on him at once.
“Lady Elira… what exactly is a shaman?”
She smiled soft, lips slightly curved, as if she had been waiting for that very question.
“Daniel,” she said gently, “a shaman is someone nature itself has chosen to trust. Fire, water, wind, earth… we don’t steal them, we borrow their powers. We ask, and the nature answers through our blood and breath.”
Daniel had only heard vague stories about shamans performing magic. In his memories, he had never seen a shaman in real-life. Back then, he’d been like a frog at the bottom of a well, unable to imagine how vast the world truly was.
“But what about warriors, what can they do?” A boy raised his hand high, eyes full of curiousity.
Elira shifted her gaze, crossing one lush thigh over the other. The motion made the fabric cling tighter. Her hands folded atop her knee and answered with calm grace.
“A warrior is someone who walks further down the same road, like they can do everything a shaman can. But the only thing we shamans can’t do, is imbue elemental power to weapons like swords, spears etc.
So tell me… who here dreams of becoming a warrior someday?”
Everyone raised their hands high, except Daniel.
Daniel didn’t believe in magic.
Even though he had just watched her summon fire from her bare palm, he showed no interest in the magic itself, only in her seductive, curvy body.
“Huh?” Her eyes narrowed on him. “What happened Daniel, don’t you want to become a warrior as well?”
Everyone turned their gaze towards Daniel.
“Uh… I haven’t thought about it yet” he said, sounding slightly nervous.
’Hmm, how strange is this, to see a kid who doesn’t dream of becoming a warrior. How intriguing…’ Elira murmured in her mind.
“Very well,” She said in her sweet voice. “Then let’s begin with our very topic, nature itself, and how deeply it’s tangled with every one of us…”
…
Four hours later. Daniel finally escaped the school and trudged home beneath the afternoon sky.
So magic was real after all.
’This whole world feels like one of those fantasy games I used to grind back home.
Whatever.
Right now I’ve got far more important things to do, hehe…’
He smirked, tongue tracing his lower lip.
*Creeeek-claaang*
Daniel closed the iron gate shut and headed straight for his parents bedroom.
It was empty.
’Fuck… where did she go again?’
“Mom…!” He shouted.
“Back here!” Marnie called from behind the house.
He rounded the corner and found her squatting by the well, sleeves rolled high, pounding laundry against the stone.
Sweat glistened along her collarbone, damp strands of hair clung to her neck. Her simple dress clung even harder.
“Oh! You’re finally back, how was your day, son?” she said warmly while pounding the clothes hard on the stone.
*thup-thup-thup… slosh…*
“Uh…”
*Grrrrr~*
His stomach growled hard.
She heard it clearly.
Marnie laughed softly. “You hungry, son? Give me a few minutes to finish these, then I’ll make something for you in the kitchen. Toss your clothes here, I’ll quickly wash them too.”
Daniel’s grin turned, dark and private.
“Well… i was thinking to bathe first,” he said, voice dripping innocence.
“Good idea.” She replied.
Then he ran straight to his room, stripped his clothes, and returned wearing nothing but a thin white towel slung low on his hips.
He dropped his uniform at her feet like an offering, then scooped a bucket of cold water from the well.
“Soap, Mom?” he asked.
She handed it over without looking.
He dumped the water over his head, gasping theatrically as it cascaded down his chest.
*rub-rub-rub*
Sandalwood foam bloomed across his skin. Slow circles over muscle, lower, lower then he twisted, pretending to struggle with his back.
Marnie sighed, looking at his back. “Come here and Sit.”
He settled low on the stone, back to her. She squatted behind him, dress riding high on her thighs, and began scrubbing in firm, maternal strokes.
Meanwhile Daniel’s fingertips brushed the top of her foot, slowly, then traced her delicate arch.
A single, deliberate stroke along her toes.
Her breath hitched. Fingers froze against his skin.
“Mom?” he said with an innocent tone. “You okay?”
“Y-yes,” she managed, voice trembling at the edges.
A warm puff of breath grazed the nape of his neck. “I’m fine, son. Why do you ask?”
“Nothing,” he murmured.
She kept scrubbing slow and unsteady.
Heat bloomed low in her belly first, then sudden and fierce. A pulse between her thighs she couldn’t fight. Her nipples tightened beneath damp linen chemise.
A helpless throb answered every innocent circle of the soap.
Daniel’s lips curved into a dark, private smile.
’Hehe… let’s see who saves you today, Marnie.’ His silent laugh curled through his thoughts like smoke, while his fingers simply rested there, warm and unmoving, pressing against her delicate soft skin.
