Without another word, he turned and left.

“Sensei.” Sasuke straightened immediately. “Are we starting new training today?”

“Let’s head to the training ground.” Kitazawa nodded, then glanced around. “But why are you the only one here? Where’s Naruto and the others?”

“…I don’t know.” Sasuke’s chest tightened, but his face remained calm.

Kitazawa didn’t press.

When they reached the training grounds, Kitazawa finally spoke.

“The main focus of your new training will be your Sharingan.”

He paused, studying Sasuke. “Tell me—what’s the most important ability of the One-Tomoe Sharingan?”
