Chapter 355: Quality Assurance (M)
The man could kill him with sex.
At this rate, Riley might very well become the first being to seek immortality just so he could mate, only to end up as the first one to perish because of it.
But it really wasn’t impossible to feel like he was going to explode when he could practically feel the sensations with twice the intensity. Not only could he feel his own pleasure, but more importantly, he could feel Kael’s absolute desire and unbridled passion. It was as if the golden dragon would keep at it for as long as Riley found pleasure in it.
And that was the big problem, because that very same Riley found a whole lot of pleasure in it.
Gods help him.
The wayward ancient pressed his body hard against the bed, his skin slick and his mind practically delirious as he neared the edge.
With every thrust and every accompanying moan, it became harder and harder to believe that said sounds were coming from him. But they were. And with Kael increasing his speed, it was impossible to stay quiet.
Just a little more!
But just when Riley braced himself for more, one golden dragon—despite definitely knowing the answer—just asked, “Honey, are you close?”
“…?!”
Riley, sounding as if he were on the verge of collapse or committing a crime, choked out, “Honey… I’m going to kill you if you stop now!”
He wasn’t even kidding.
While Riley had no particular logistics in place, that was still his brutally honest opinion.
Then again, it wasn’t like the golden dragon had plans of stopping. He had none whatsoever. But he certainly wanted something else from his mate, who looked delectable when annoyed.
His twig turned his pretty little head around to glare at him, and with Riley looking at Kael with those stern eyes, he had to tell him right away.
“I won’t, but I want to do it together,” Kael muttered. He thrust again, a deep, possessive slide that had the slender ancient’s knees buckling, but so much for that when Riley’s eyes widened for a different reason.
It was because Kael’s hand had reached out to wrap around his pulsating manhood, holding him back from releasing.
“What—?!”
“Together, please,” Kael whispered against his neck.
Together?!
Heck. He even added ’please’?!
But if he had to wait until Kael and his titanium will were ready to get there, Riley was certain he was going to implode. There was only so much a dragon could take before his wires crossed.
So the black dragon did all that he could do for the sake of Eryndra and his sanity. He ground his ass back against Kael’s hips and clamped down with everything he had.
“We’re going to cum or so help me—hngh!”
“!!!”
Kael shifted slightly behind him.
It wasn’t a big movement. Just a small adjustment as he lifted Riley’s hips and changed the angle.
Unfortunately for Riley, that tiny adjustment was devastating.
Because the moment Kael pushed again, the new angle dragged directly across that spot.
Perfectly.
Riley gasped and called out Kael’s name as the world around him dissolved into blinding light. The sensation surged through him so violently that he couldn’t even brace for it. Their bond flared wide open, and the two dragons came together in a shared, soul-searing release.
The moment was so intense that it came with an unexpected accompaniment.
Pop!
Pop! Pop!
Then several more.
“?!”
The sudden noises made Riley flinch in surprise in the messy aftermath of his orgasm.
Behind him, Kael tried not to chuckle.
His mate looked genuinely startled, which made the situation even more amusing, considering that the culprit was none other than Riley’s own stray mana.
As the lingering waves of sensation slowly faded, the dragon lord wrapped his arms around Riley’s back and pulled him into a warm embrace before plopping comfortably against the pillows behind him.
“It’s fine,” Kael murmured against the crook of Riley’s neck. “We’ll replace them with better ones.”
The stunned twig blinked.
Still trying to recover, he managed a faint and very confused, “What?”
“The lights,” the golden dragon replied calmly. “They couldn’t hold against your stray mana.”
Riley froze.
Then he twisted around to look at him, half convinced the dragon lord was joking.
He was not.
It was the same perfectly serious face.
The same glorious mug.
And Kael followed it up with complete sincerity.
“It’s a good opportunity to test which ones would be worth keeping,” he added casually.
“Huh?”
“We’ll just have to test the furniture and fixtures for durability.”
Kael punctuated that statement by pressing a slow kiss to the back of Riley’s neck.
A very effective distraction.
Because while Riley shivered at the sensation, his brain was still trying to process the implications of what Kael had just said.
Unfortunately, the golden dragon appeared to mean every word.
The great ruler of Eryndra had apparently developed a sudden and very serious interest in quality testing.
For example, how well could the headboard hold up if Riley pushed against it?
Would the sheets and mattress survive past the fourth round, or would they tear under Riley’s fingers? His claws had already shredded part of the fabric earlier, after Kael thrust deep enough to make them extend unconsciously.
And then there was the bed frame.
Would it survive the force of a black dragon riding his mate, or would it collapse the moment Riley lowered himself onto Kael’s lap?
Naturally, Kael demanded answers.
And Riley, unfortunately, was the perfect tester.
A very pliant tester.
One who even had an online identity dedicated to reviewing products, which meant he somehow found himself nodding along when Kael mentioned the idea.
It practically felt like the devil’s whisper as the dragon lord got the allegedly innocent tester everywhere and in any way he wanted.
That was how Riley ended up staring into those devouring golden eyes while positioning himself over Kael’s erection of his own volition.
See, even if Kael hadn’t said anything, Riley probably would’ve done it anyway.
He had dreamed about this before.
He would ride him.
He would take control.
Yes.
That was the plan.
Unfortunately, the plan lasted for about half a minute.
Or at least until Riley finally lowered himself and managed to seat himself properly on Kael’s lap.
The moment Kael’s entire length was buried deep inside him, Riley nearly came again from the sheer shock of it.
And just like that, the plan encountered a very serious problem.
Because now Riley had a completely new question.
How in the world was he supposed to move with all of that inside him?
__
“Ah… Kael… I can’t—it’s too much!”
Riley’s voice was a ragged, breathless thing as he tried to find his rhythm.
He’d started with such grand intentions of taking control, but the reality of Kael’s length filling him to the brink had turned his legs to jelly. Every time he tried to lift himself, he only succeeded in sliding back down, taking all of Kael in with a wet, heavy squelch that made his head loll back.
“Haaaah!”
But if the living bundle of nerves thought he was the only one feeling overwhelmed, well, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Because the golden dragon beneath him was equally overwhelmed.
Kael’s golden eyes had darkened, fixed upward with a kind of predatory focus that Riley could practically feel burning against his skin. He was watching everything.
The way Riley’s eyes had begun to mist over from the relentless friction.
The way his skin had flushed into a deep, feverish pink that stood out starkly against his long, dark hair.
And most importantly, the way Riley’s body reacted around him.
Every desperate tightening of those internal muscles.
Every trembling pulse that he felt against his own throbbing cock.
To Kael, it was nothing short of intoxicating.
Seeing Riley’s own erection standing proudly between them, bobbing helplessly with every clumsy movement of his hips, felt like the ultimate reward.
“…So tight,” Kael grunted, his voice a low vibration that Riley felt in his very bones.
Riley’s dream of being the one in charge finally collided headfirst with reality. He let out a startled, high-pitched moan when he was suddenly jostled as Kael’s hands had moved to his waist.
And instead of letting his twig struggle through it on his own, the golden dragon simply took over.
With ease.
Kael lifted him.
Then pushed him back down again with a powerful, deliberate motion that left Riley gasping.
The movement was massive. Riley felt like a ship tossed in a golden storm. He was being used, filled, and worshipped all at once. Eventually, the sheer pleasure became too much to navigate alone.
Feeling like a puddle of melting wax, Riley reached forward with trembling arms, stretching toward Kael.
He needed an anchor.
He needed his mate.
Kael responded instantly.
He surged upward, catching Riley in his arms and pulling him flush against his chest as though it had always been meant to happen that way.
Because, as far as the golden dragon was concerned, it had.
He was born for this.
Born to ensure his mate never lacked for anything.
Kael worked tirelessly beneath him, his hips moving with a strength that could only be described as legendary.
He worked so relentlessly that Riley probably would’ve forgotten his own name entirely if Kael hadn’t been whispering it over and over against his ear.
“Riley… my Riley,” Kael murmured, his breath hot each time he pushed deep enough to make the black dragon see stars.
He loved him.
He loved him so much that when the bed frame finally gave a loud, protesting crack under the force of their union, Riley’s eyes flew open in genuine horror.
For a moment, he thought the entire bed was about to collapse.
Kael, however, didn’t even pause. Didn’t even flinch.
Without breaking his rhythm, the dragon lord simply flicked his fingers—or maybe did an eyeroll—but whatever move it was, it propped the whole thing up for far greater use.
“Don’t stop,” Riley sobbed, his fingers tightening desperately around Kael’s shoulders.
“I won’t,” Kael promised.
And with the magic holding the bed together, the golden dragon continued showing Riley exactly what makes a dragon.
