Chapter 356: The Estate Inspection (M)
Power.
A whole lot of unadulterated fucking power. Pun very much intended.
Safe to say that with great power came not just responsibility, but apparently a certain level of moral obligation. At least that was what Riley assumed his husband believed, because the golden dragon seemed fully committed to using that power to help Riley ascend to an entirely different plane of existence.
And frankly, Riley was beginning to believe it.
See, the degenerate immortal had certainly hoped for a session he would remember for the rest of his days. What he had not expected was to end up branding the corners of an entire manor in the name of “quality testing.”
The bed alone bore witness to what could’ve been thousands of dragons, and honestly, Riley had to wonder why such ancient beings would have population issues if dragons mated the way they did.
Balls to the walls and buried with absolutely no intention of leaving.
At this point, the room itself was saturated with their pheromones, which was probably reason enough to ensure that no other dragon or magical creature would ever be allowed inside again.
Unless, of course, Riley wanted his love life put on full display.
Which he very much did not.
In fact, starting today, the manor probably needed to be sealed for personal use. Thankfully, Kael decided to bring him to his personal estate instead of the dragon estate, or this would have been extremely embarrassing.
Because they had done it everywhere there was space.
Riley had momentarily wanted to drink water at one point.
Instead, Kael had very enthusiastically watered him right in front of the door.
The empty hallway had most definitely heard Riley’s screams as his mate took him right there on the floor and against the wall. The friction of the cold stone against his skin combined with the heat of Kael’s body was enough to wipe every coherent thought from his mind.
Then there was the pillar in the expansive hall.
Riley had clung to that thing for dear life when Kael bent him forward after he made the mistake of taking a little too long admiring the garden outside. He had barely managed to appreciate the flowers before he found himself being filled again, his fingers digging into the cold marble while Kael’s weight pressed him firmly into the stone.
Honestly, those were probably experiences he shouldn’t be thinking about.
Not when he was currently mounted against a random dresser.
Riley clung to Kael’s neck as the wood beneath them creaked under the steady rhythm of his husband’s movements. His heels were hooked tightly around Kael’s waist while the golden dragon continued what could only be described as a very thorough tour of the estate’s furniture.
But how did he even get to this point?
__
He only wanted to see himself.
After everything that had happened, Riley finally realized that his hair had grown extremely long. Up until that moment, the only reflection he had really seen was the one inside Kael’s eyes.
And frankly, that had hardly been helpful.
Most of the time he could barely keep his eyes open, let alone focus on anything when his entire body had been going through what felt like a million different sensations at once.
So naturally, he went looking for a mirror.
When he finally found one, it surprised him for several reasons.
The first thing he noticed was his eyes.
His eyes looked eerily recognizable but most definitely different, glowing with the same intensity as his mate’s and looking so much like the ones he kept on seeing when he was in the middle of inheriting.
Riley stood there stark naked in front of the mirror.
Well, almost naked.
The only things on him were the conspicuous jewelry Kael had gifted him as well as something he really ought to figure out.
His fingers drifted to the ring on his hand, rubbing the band thoughtfully before moving up to touch the cool metal of the necklace around his neck. The gems caught the light as he shifted, scattering faint reflections across the mirror.
Riley could only sigh, but elected to think about that another time. At the very least, not today.
Instead he checked the main reason for looking at a mirror anyway: his hair.
Long black strands framed his face and fell past his shoulders and even his waist, and Riley honestly had no idea when that had happened.
Was that associated with growing claws?
He’d have to check later.
However, despite the noticeable difference, the biggest surprise wasn’t even his hair.
It was his body. As in everything else.
He hadn’t suddenly developed muscles or anything dramatic like that. If anything, he looked exactly the same as before. What surprised him was how normal his skin looked.
Which was ridiculous.
Because by all logic, he should have looked like he had gone through an entire war of bites and scratches.
Instead, his skin looked… fine.
Too damned fine?!
Sure, he was flushed pink almost everywhere, and certain areas were clearly sensitive, but there were no obvious marks. None of the countless bites Kael had definitely left on him earlier remained.
Riley frowned slightly and ran his hands across himself to check.
His neck was pristine.
His chest was faintly pink and a little swollen, but otherwise far from what he was sure it was supposed to look like by now.
Even his thighs were clear of the bite marks he distinctly remembered experiencing earlier.
If he didn’t know better, he might have assumed he hadn’t just spent hours being completely devoured by that ancient beast over there.
That thought lasted right up until he noticed something slowly trailing down the inside of his thigh.
Riley immediately blushed.
Because that was unmistakably Kael’s doing.
More specifically, his mate’s load.
Which was apparently the only remaining evidence of their hours of chaos.
After staring at himself for another moment, Riley came to an odd realization.
With him looking like that, how would anyone ever believe that he was at his limit?
But was he really?
Had he actually hit his limit?
Because the moment his golden mate approached from behind, something very traitorous happened.
Riley’s member, which had been enjoying a perfectly reasonable break, suddenly hardened.
“!!!”
Through the mirror, Riley could see Kael standing behind him.
The dragon lord tilted his head slightly and rested his chin on top of Riley’s head while studying their reflection together. His voice carried a low note of amusement.
“I thought you said twenty minutes,” Kael murmured. “What happened to that?”
“W-wait a minute!” Riley stammered immediately, his face heating up. “I really meant it when I said twenty minutes! I really think it would be best to wait!”
He had been absolutely serious about that.
His heart needed time to calm down.
His body needed a break.
And if nothing else, his mind needed a little timeout so he could ensure that he didn’t forget important things after being shaken, stirred, and sexed like that.
The golden lizard may have a few complaints, but he would definitely survive. Riley was just about to raise his hand, but instead of resistance, Kael simply nodded.
“Mn.”
“?”
Then, like something straight out of a dystopian movie, the dragon lord just leaned down and kissed the top of Riley’s head.
“We’ll wait twenty minutes then.”
“Huh?”
The ex-mortal blinked in confusion.
But that bewilderment lasted only until he realized what Kael actually meant by waiting.
