Chapter 133: I Love You… Now Duck
Solomon wondered what it said about his life that this was the second orgy he’d seen in a very short time.
Something that truly surprised him was that the fae seemed to have more going on here than even the nobles. There were drugs, both natural and unnatural. Alcohol too. There were even tables for gambling and dancing.
But yes, there was sex. A copious amount of it at that.
Solomon felt that burning gaze boring into the side of his head again. He smiled like a madman.
Dispelling his armor, he pulled Yari in until their bodies were pressed together. Not a word left his lips, but his actions said more than enough.
Once Solomon dropped his armor, the other horsemen did so as well. However, they seemed a bit disappointed by the fact that they were back to normal.
With the faces of most of the group uncovered, it wasn’t long before they started receiving attention from some of the fae nearby.
They were solicited for just about everything. Sex, alcohol, conversation, and some even asked them to sing a song and dance.
Solomon and Yari were equally frigid. They glared down any woman or man who even looked like they might ask them for something inappropriate.
Just the same, Solomon and Everett pointed their weapons at anyone who came within ten paces of Dakota or Nila.
Everett was the only one who looked like he was even slightly tempted by some of the things being offered… Though, he didn’t get to linger for long before Solomon dropped his fist on his younger brother’s head.
The group was surprised that they could just walk right up to the crystal spire. There were no guards or bouncers of any kind.
As soon as they approached the strange structure, an opening appeared in the wall before them.
Glancing amongst themselves, the horsemen nodded to ensure they were all comfortable before stepping inside.
The first chamber they found contained a simple platform that glowed once they all stood atop it. Abruptly, the machination began to rise.
They rose around fifteen stories by Yari’s estimation.
“Is this feeling… A bit too easy for anyone else?” Dakota asked with a hint of nervousness in her soft voice.
Yari shrugged. “I had heard that the fae queen had a rather lacadasical personality… I suppose there is no need for guards or locked doors when you are one of the strongest beings in four realms.”
Out of the corner of his eye, Solomon saw Everett tense up. The higher they rose, the more fidgety his younger brother seemed to get.
The platform suddenly came to a screeching halt.
A wall melted to form another opening, freeing the passengers from the confined space of the lift.
The hall they stepped into was absolutely breathtaking.
Brilliant, prismatic crystal comprised the walls, the floor, and the ceiling. Lanterns hung on the ceiling with small, violet flames inside. They dyed the home in their beautiful amethyst hue and gave the entire place a somewhat hazy feeling.
The group walked through the hallway with a slightly wary demeanor.
In the distance, they could hear what sounded like arguing.
They crept toward the noise silently, passing by exquisite furniture and ancient works of art. Everything inside this place must have cost a small fortune. Everett felt as if he could barely afford to look at anything.
Finally, the hallway opened up to a very spacious living area. In the kitchen, two men and three women were preparing dinner. Completely naked.
The eyes of the group were drawn to a woman in a violet dress in the corner of the living room. She held a nearly empty bottle of wine in one hand as she shouted drunkenly at a full-length mirror.
“You fucking… Shoddy little thing..! I have half a mind to have you wiped down with the bristles of a stone-boar!” She slurred as she poked the mirror hard with her finger. “Now I will ask you one final time! Who is the fairest of them all!?”
The horsemens’ jaws fell open when the mirror actually spoke back with the voice of an effeminate man.
“Well, it used to be you, but… You’ve started putting on a little weight recently. No one likes a drunky-chunky, mistress.”
“You piece of SHIT!”
The woman grabbed the mirror in a drunken rage and held it over her head. This finally seemed to make the mirror panic.
“K-Kidding, just kidding, mistress, it’s you! It’s always been you! I-In fact, I heard fat and easy is back in style this spring-”
“RAAAAHHHHHH!!!”
With an enraged roar, the woman slammed the mirror onto the ground and shattered it into a million pieces. Faint, blue whisps of energy left the broken shards, and the woman scooped them right back up.
“Too much of an accursed personality on you… Next time, I’ll be sure to make you quieter and more insightful.”
The woman started to turn around, and the group felt their words get caught in their throat.
She was absolutely beautiful. Her silky raven-black hair was even more luxurious than Dakota’s.
Her skin was jade white, but marred by some kind of strange, glossy purple markings. They appeared to run over the length of her body, similar to Yari’s brands.
A subtle crimson light shone from within her eyes. It was mischievous and oddly familiar…
Her ears, like her nails, were long and pointed. They almost mistook her for an elf.
When she turned around in a drunken stupor, her eyes scraped over her guests as if she weren’t surprised to see random people in her home.
That was, until she saw him, and the bottle slipped out of her hand while her voice became a ghastly whisper.
“Daeran…?”
“…”
Unanimously, all of the horsemen and Yari turned to stare at Everett.
The young noble looked behind him and, after finding nobody back there, he slowly raised a finger to point at himself with a questioning look.
A gust of wind blew that was so strong it knocked Nila, Yari, Dakota, and evenSolomon off their feet.
The woman embraced Everett firmly, her arms wrapped around his neck, and tears running down her face.
This wasn’t the first time a woman had cried on Everett. But it was the first time one cried on him whom he had never even met before.
The fact that the woman was freakishly strong only added to Everett’s level of discomfort.
The fae threw her head back and wailed at the very top of her lungs. The torturous sound nearly caused the entire citadel to crumble.
“What is going on in here??”
Yari felt her entire body stiffen. She dared not believe her ears for even a moment.
Slowly, she pulled off her headdress and veil, then looked toward the sound of the voice.
A woman emerged from one of the back rooms. She looked just the same as the last day Yari had seen her. Pale golden hair. Verdent green eyes. Skin the color of milk with honey.
She had only become prettier with age. Her more mature features had refined her like an aged wine, and her pinkish-red lips seemed to always be cocked in a half smile.
That is, until she laid eyes on Yari. And her face slowly sank into a state of disbelief.
“…Sunseed?”
Yari swallowed, tears already leaving her eyes. “Giselle…?”
It was difficult to pinpoint which of them started moving first. But all anyone saw was the moment they embraced each other.
They joined the fae woman in weeping loud enough to rattle one’s eardrums.
It was a touching sight. But Nila remained frozen in place, unable to act.
The woman she had spent so much of her time hearing about was right there. Already in front of her. And yet, she couldn’t bring herself to say a single word.
She was mesmerized. Nervous. Afraid.
Nila was a fighter who had never been much for using her words. And this was perhaps the day she needed the skill the most.
But then…she felt a large, but gentle hand on her back. Silently guiding her forward.
She looked back at her older brother and found him giving her kind, gentle eyes. Nudging her to go forward.
Nila clenched her fists. She took as deep a breath as her lungs would allow. And then… she stepped forward to introduce herself.
But that was when she saw her aunt suddenly pull away from her mother and punch her in the throat with all of her strength.
