Sunny moved on from the Royal Academy, seeking something quieter.

He drifted toward the Forest of Origins, a place of magic where technology had not yet encroached.

In the center of the forest stood a titan. Veylara, the World Tree. Her branches pierced the clouds, and her roots drank from the planet’s core.

Sunny approached the base of the tree, intending to check on Veylara. But he stopped when he saw two figures sitting among the giant roots.

One was Veylara’s avatar, a beautiful woman made of wood and light, with leaves for hair.

The other was an Unchained Demon, a female warrior with crimson skin and horns, named Laira. She was sharpening a massive greatsword, her expression focused.

“Laira,” Veylara’s soft voice rustled like wind through leaves. “When are you going to find a partner, marry him, bear his children, grow together, love each other till eternity…? That sounds beautiful.”

Laira didn’t look up from her blade. “Me? I told you. I will marry when I become a Demigod.”

“Oh!” Veylara blinked, a pang of sadness rippling through her aura.

“Why is that? Why not now? There are thousands of talented males currently eyeing you; any one of them will be a good partner to have.”

Laira stopped sharpening. She placed the sword down and turned to look Veylara in the eyes. Her gaze was intense, burning with the fire of a warrior who loved too much.

“Because,” Laira whispered, “only then will I be able to match you.”

Veylara tilted her head, confused. “Match me? What does that have anything to do with your marri-”

Suddenly her face blushed, as if understanding Laira’s meaning.

“I don’t care about your rank, Laira. We can be tog-”

“I am mortal, Veylara!” Laira interrupted, her voice cracking. “You are a World Tree. And mortals can only look up to you, not be together with you. I may die someday even with 9 lives, but you will remain eternal.”

She reached out, touching Veylara’s wooden cheek. “I need to ascend. I need to become a Demigod so I can stand by your side for eternity.”

Veylara’s eyes widened. She hadn’t realized the depth of Laira’s resolve.

“Wait,” Veylara stammered, blushing green. “So you mean… once you ascend…”

Laira placed a finger on Veylara’s lips. “Shh. I don’t want to hear it yet. We will talk about the wedding after I survive the tribulation.”

Veylara nodded, tears forming in her eyes. But then, a thought struck her, darkening her mood instantly.

“But… even if we marry,” Veylara whispered, her voice trembling. “We wouldn’t be able to have a child. I… I was born from a Divine Embryo. I am just an artificial body created by Master. I can’t reproduce.”

Laira smiled softly. “We are both females, dummy. We couldn’t have one naturally anyway.”

Veylara thought for a second, as she remembered the content of some of the books in the divine library, and nodded.

“We will ask God,” Laira said firmly, looking up at the sky, directly at where the invisible Sunny was hovering. “We will ask the Creator to create a Demigod baby for us. We will adopt it. We will raise it as our own.”

For a second, Veylara looked hopeful. Then she blinked, looking at Laira.

“Wait… how did we get here?” Veylara laughed nervously. “We were just friends discussing sword techniques half a minute ago, and now we are planning a family?”

Laira grinned, picking up her sword. “I work fast.”

’What the hell am I even watching?’

Sunny floated in the air, feeling incredibly awkward. He felt like an intruder in a very private moment.

“I should give them privacy,” he muttered, turning away and drifting rapidly toward the North.

But as he flew over the mountains, his mind didn’t let go of Veylara’s statement.

“We wouldn’t be able to have a child… I was born from a Divine Embryo.”

He thought about his Creator Clone. In the last few years, the Creator had manifested millions of Demigods to take care of the new worlds.

“The Demon Lords have an infinite swarm because they corrupt existing life,” Sunny realized. “If I want to match them… if I want a civilization that can outlast a war of attrition… I need my Demigods to be able to have children.”

He rubbed his temples. “I need to fix the Divine Embryo blueprint. So that they can start to reproduce, maybe I can even get a surprise.”

It was a massive task. It would require rewriting the laws of life at least in his territory.

“How to solve it?” Sunny whispered to the wind.

Sunny shook his head; thinking about it now was not ideal. He was right now checking the development so he needed to focus on that first.

The big task of changing the entire structure of a demigod can be done later.

He moved away from a small town of humans and moved deeper into the northern continent. He was directly going to check the capital of humans, as every development will surely reflect on the capital.

When Sunny reached the capital, his eyes opened wide. The entire structure of the city was completely changed, from the initial wooden to stone then cement, and now they had created some house designs that even surpassed Endor.

“This is also the work of Builder’s lifeforms. I need to give him a raise,” Sunny said, genuinely praising the craft done by Builder’s lifeforms.

But there wasn’t much else to look at there too, some advanced weaponry like magic missiles and magic nukes, which were good but not good enough.

Sunny then began to check the capital of every race one by one and returned back to his Palace, satisfied that the development of his world was really going well.
