The air in Sansa’s private garden was thick with the scent of blooming miracles, but the conversation by the riverbank was turning into something far more ancient and dangerous.

“He was born with Manifestation Affinity?” the little maid asked, her cow-ears twitching with a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

“My Lady, while that is impressive, it is not exactly unheard of. Most of the high-ranking members of the Nihilium Clan possess it.”

“If it were SSS-Grade, perhaps that would be a cause for celebration, but surely it is not the reason that ’he’ is so obsessed with Cosmos?”

Sansa looked at her maid, her devilish-angelic eyes shimmering with a secret that seemed to vibrate the very air around them.

“SSS-Grade?” Sansa repeated, a soft, haunting chuckle escaping her lips.

“Child, SSS-Grade Manifestation is merely a high-tier talent. One in every hundred thousand Nihilium younglings is born with such a gift. It is a tool, a weapon.”

“But what Sunny possesses… it is not a talent. It is an Authority.”

She leaned closer, her voice dropping to a whisper that made the river’s liquid vitality go still.

“He possesses something that has not been seen since the era of the void emperor. He possesses Divine Manifestation, the ability to turn a thought not just into an object, but into a Law.”

Sansa’s finger was on the maid’s lips before the word could be finished.

“My lips are sealed, My Lady,” the maid whispered, her face flushed with the weight of the revelation.

She took a moment to compose herself, but the hunger for knowledge in her mind was a fire that wouldn’t die.

“But what about the merging? If ’that guy’ successfully links the Demon Realm and your world, what happens to the balance?”

Sansa sighed, looking up at the swirling galaxies above. “In a fair exchange, my world would dominate. My lifeforms are superior in quantity, and their generation of Faith is a roaring ocean compared to the demons’ trickling stream of malice.”

“It is common knowledge: demons are entropic. They consume more than they create.”

“Then why did he lie?” the maid questioned, her brow furrowing. “Why did you tell the lifeforms of both realms that you created them all? Even the Demon Lords believe they are your children.”

“Rules,” Sansa said bitterly. “The Nihilium Clan has ancient statutes. A Royal cannot force their bubble’s lifeforms to wage war on another Royal’s bubble without a Valid Existential Cause.”

“To bypass this, we made a deal eons ago. We decided I would ’manage’ both realms. I told the demons I was their mother, and I told the Gods the same. The goal was coexistence… or so I hoped, to grow together through minor skirmish.”

She closed her eyes, a tear tracing a path down her cheek. “I was a fool. I knew the innate corruption of the demonic mind. I knew they would eventually see the Gods as prey.”

“Verion counted on my obsession with creation; he knew I couldn’t resist the urge to nurture more life, even if that life was poisonous. I brought them together, and in doing so, I brought my children to their doom.”

“And now,” Sansa continued, her voice turning cold, “he wants a gruesome war. He doesn’t just want victory; he wants a massacre.”

“The more blood that is spilled, the more his Path of Evil is nourished. He is planning a ’Great Harvest,’ and prophesying his specific moves is impossible even for me.”

“My Lady, you still have Cosmos!” the maid cried out, clutching her hands as if in prayer. “The Void chose him! Verion would have to go against the Void itself to kill him!”

“No, little one,” Sansa said, looking at the distant, violet-gold bubble. “The Void is fair, but it is also cold. If Sunny dies, the Void will simply deem him a failed candidate. It will move on to the next successor… and the chances are high that the Void will choose the one Verion has been grooming. It will choose Lom.”

The City of Gods: The Throne room

Sunny’s eyes fluttered open. The lingering warmth of the Dream World and Nyx’s touch vanished, replaced by the humming power of the palace.

“The rest time is up,” Sunny murmured, his voice echoing through the empty, majestic hall. “Now, it’s time to save the multiverse.”

He had left the Dream World on pause, a frozen moment of peace in a multiverse that was designed in such a way that universes were eventually forced to have a fight with each other.

But the real world was calling, and the guests he had been expecting had finally arrived at his doorstep.

“But before I save the world,” Sunny said, a sharp, predatory smirk stretching across his face, “let’s meet the rats. Or should I call them… my old fellow Gods?”

Outside the palace gates, tucked within the folds of a spatial anomaly, the Pearl of Calamity drifted silently. Inside the sphere of darkness, Kairos and Mongo stared at the glowing, magnificent structure of the palace.

“It looks even more majestic from this close,” Mongo whispered, his eyes scanning the walls engraved with the history of the Gods. “Do you think he knows we’re here?”

“He does, Mongo,” Kairos said, his heartbeat quickening. “He knew we were here the moment we entered the city. We are only alive because of the pearl of darkness.”

Inside the throne room, Sunny sensed the spatial ripple of the pearl. He didn’t wait for them to knock. He reached into his vast well of power, using his God’s Authority to mimic the Space Affinity of Nova.

He didn’t stand up. He simply raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

SNAP.

The laws of space within a hundred-meter radius of the palace inverted.

“What is happening?!” Kairos yelled as the interior of the Pearl began to groan. The darkness began to collapse inward.

Before they could even attempt an escape, a blinding spark of violet-gold light consumed their vision. The sensation of falling lasted for a fraction of a second, and then… stillness.

Kairos and Mongo blinked. The darkness was gone. They were standing on a polished floor that reflected the stars. Above them, a vaulted ceiling stretched into infinity.

And in front of them, sitting on a throne was the figure they had seen in their nightmares. The cosmic robe, the mask with eye-sockets that looked like twin multiverses, it was Cosmos.

Kairos felt his heart hammering against his ribs, but he realized they were still encased in a thin, translucent layer of the Pearl’s shadow. Lom’s words echoed in his mind: ’As long as you are in the sphere of darkness, he cannot touch you.’

“Long time no see, Kairos,” Sunny said, his voice was filled amusement. “Though, strictly speaking, I still can’t ’see’ you through that turtle shell of yours.”

The chuckle that followed was light, almost friendly, which only served to terrify the two spies more. This was the gap between them, Sunny was treating their ’ultimate infiltration’ like a visit from old friends.

“Cosmos…” Kairos found his voice, stepping forward as much as the dark layer would allow. “My Master… he wishes to have a chat with you.”

“Your Master?” Sunny repeated, a small, knowing smile playing on his lips. “Why would I have a chat with a man who hides in the shadows of shadows? I don’t even know his name.”

Kairos went silent for a few seconds, his mind racing. Then, remembering Lom’s instructions, his face lit up with a desperate sort of courage.

“Actually, my Master wants to offer you a deal,” Kairos said. “But he is not physically present in this sphere of darkness. He can only speak to you… if you enter this sphere. If you step into the darkness, he will reveal everything.”

“Oh? A deal?” Sunny said, leaning his head on his hand. “I’m always interested in a good bargain. I could step into that little shell of yours, certainly. But I have a better suggestion.”

Kairos raised his eyebrows, his pulse thrumming. “What suggestion could be better than saving your own life?”

Sunny stood up, his stature growing until he seemed to fill the entire hall.

“How about you call your master here, that would atleast show me his sincerity and how eager he is to have a deal with me” Sunny said, a grin plastered on his face.

“I already said he is not here…” Kairos was about to finish his statement when the darkness inside the sphere began to ripple, shocking both Kairos and Mongo.
