“Who… who are you really?” Adam asked, his voice cracking.

He wasn’t looking at Sunny anymore. He was staring at the Emperor’s right hand, or rather, the absence of the humanity in it.

“I don’t know,” Sunny admitted, his voice quiet but echoing with a strange resonance.

Adam nodded, gripping his knees, waiting like a man facing a judge.

“Adam… the Old Gods are returning.”

“They are being reincarnated,” Sunny explained, his voice filled with genuine warmth. “Something, or someone is guiding their souls back to the living world. Merlin is already here, teaching the Gods about the cardmaster profession. Cai Zhen, Beru, and Thera arrived recently. And I believe… many more are on their way.”

Adam sat motionless. His mouth opened, but no sound came out.

For a million years, Adam had lived with a scar in his heart.

He remembered the Peace Treaty. He remembered trusting Freya, who had been manipulated by the whispers of Floro and the Demon Lords. He remembered the moment the trap sprung.

He decided to travel back in time, to the time when Cai Zhen was created by lady Sansa.

Why Cai Zhen? Because Sunny wanted to make a similar universe, And why Lady Sansa? Because she was the Void Mother. And only she possessed the knowledge to use the cosmic hand effectively.

“Another trip billions of years back in time,” Sunny sighed, adjusting his gloves. “Let’s hope she’s in a mood to answer my queries.”

He closed his eyes.

The River of Time opened its maw, and Sunny stepped in.

The City of Gods:

While the Emperor traversed the eons, life in the City continued.

The City of Gods was a pot of divinities. Beings of fire walked alongside beings of water. Giants shared drinks with dwarves. And gossip, the universal language flowed freely.

At an open-air cafe near a fountain, two Gods were deep in conversation.

“Did you see the new guy? The Insectoid?” a God asked, leaning in.

“Beru?” Another God nodded. “Yeah. He looks terrifying. That aura… it feels like he wants to eat everything he sees. I heard he devoured a Demon General raw.”

“Disgusting,” the first God shivered. “But… we have to admit, he is strong. In many multiverses, insectoid races are common. Some Gods even specifically decided to evolve their lifeforms in such a way that their lifeforms become insectoids.”

“That’s what I was going to say,” the second God agreed. “He’s scary, but he’s on our side. We shouldn’t judge based on aesthetics.”

“How wonderfully open-minded of you two,” a third voice cut in.

The two Gods jumped. Sitting on the railing behind them, legs swinging casually, was a figure dressed in motley colors, wearing a mask that seemed to grin and frown simultaneously.

“Joker,” the first God groaned. “Can you please mind your own business? We are relaxing and have no desire to hear your nonsense.”

Joker smirked, leaning forward. “Relaxing? Interesting choice of words.”

“I agree with your assessment of the Bug,” Joker said. “He is strong. But shouldn’t you two be more worried about your own strength?”

“We all know the War is coming. The Emperor had build a tower for lifeforms and God-Maker realm for us. And The sky is getting dark.”

“But here you are,” Joker mocked, “gossiping about someone who could snap both your necks like dry twigs. Instead of analyzing Beru’s diet, shouldn’t you be strengthening your asses in the God Maker Realm?”

The second God flushed red. “We just spent a century in there! We deserve a break!”

“A century?” Joker laughed, hopping off the railing. “The demons have been training for a million years. But sure, have your latte. I’m sure the Demon Lords will wait for you to finish.”

He bowed theatrically and strolled away, whistling a tune that was just slightly out of key, designed to annoy.

“I hate that guy,” the first God muttered.

“He’s annoying,” the second God admitted. “But… he’s right.”

They looked at their drinks, suddenly losing their appetite. They stood up and headed toward the training grounds.

Joker watched them go from a distance, a genuine smile replacing his mocking one.

“Hah… I’m not doing this for Faith,” Joker whispered to himself. “I’m just spreading awareness. Fear is the best motivator, after all.”

The Residential District: Villa of Strategist.

In a quieter part of the city, where the architecture was orderly and precise, a different kind of celebration was happening.

Strategist stood on his balcony overlooking a private garden. A holographic interface floated before him, displaying a complex tree of names and stats.

“Excellent,” Strategist murmured, adjusting his glasses.

“Exactly,” Danica beamed, leaning against him. “So, together… we have fourteen Demigods.”

They clinked glasses.

It was a strange romance, born of efficiency and shared goals. They had met outside the God Maker Realm. Their first meeting was a debate about the use of SS-Grades herbs to artificially help the lifeforms grow to the demigod realm, Debates turned to dinners, and dinners turned to a partnership.

“Fourteen Demigods,” Strategist mused, looking out at the city lights.

Strategist put his arm around her.

“The war is coming, Danica.”

“I know,” she whispered, resting her head on his shoulder. “But we will be ready. Our children will be ready.”
