Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Gacha System
A deep cut opened across Roderic’s shoulder.
Blood sprayed across the ground.
Roderic gritted his teeth and stumbled backward, clutching his wound.
Around him, the situation had become hopeless.
Another one of his body tempering practitioners fell as Skullbreaker’s blade split his chest open.
A few moments later, Bone Fist crushed another warrior’s skull with a brutal punch.
One after another, his strongest fighters were dying.
Roderic looked around the battlefield with wide eyes.
His clan’s warriors were either dead or fleeing.
The skeletons kept advancing like an unstoppable tide.
His voice trembled as he muttered,
“How… how is this possible…”
He looked up and finally noticed the figure standing calmly on the rooftop.
Aiden.
Their eyes met across the battlefield.
“You…” Roderic growled weakly.
“So you’re the one behind all this…”
Aiden simply looked down at him.
His expression was calm, almost indifferent.
Vayne suddenly moved again.
Before Roderic could react, the undead swordsman appeared in front of him and thrust its blade forward.
The sword pierced straight through Roderic’s chest.
Roderic’s body froze.
Blood dripped from the blade.
His sword slipped from his hand and clattered onto the ground.
For a moment, the battlefield fell strangely quiet.
Roderic looked down at the blade sticking through his chest.
His lips trembled.
“I… I am… the head of the Dustwind Clan…”
His knees slowly buckled.
“How could I… die like this…”
Vayne pulled the sword free.
Roderic collapsed onto the blood-stained ground.
The leader of the Dustwind Clan was dead.
Not long after, the remaining resistance completely crumbled.
Without their leaders, the last warriors either died fighting or fled in terror.
Aiden remained on the rooftop, standing quietly as the battle below slowly came to an end. From where he stood, the entire courtyard of the Dustwind clan compound was visible. Fires burned in scattered places where buildings had collapsed, and the night air was thick with the metallic scent of blood.
Below him, his undead were finishing what remained of the battle.
The last warriors of the Dustwind clan were being hunted down one by one. Some tried to run, their courage finally breaking after witnessing the slaughter of their comrades. Others fought desperately, swinging their weapons with the last of their strength. But it made little difference.
A basic-grade skeleton rushed forward and drove its rusted blade into a warrior’s chest. The man gasped, dropping his spear as he fell to his knees. Another undead followed immediately after, crushing the back of his skull with a heavy strike.
Aiden watched it all without emotion.
Then, with a thought, he opened his status window.
A transparent screen appeared in front of him, floating silently in the darkness. The familiar blue light reflected faintly in his eyes as he read the updated information.
He had leveled up four times during the battle.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
“Level twenty-one already…” he muttered under his breath.
The screen displayed his current status.

He crossed his arms and looked down at the aftermath.
Then a thought suddenly crossed his mind.
I’m past level twenty now…
In the game, reaching level twenty had unlocked something new.
Aiden narrowed his eyes slightly.
Let’s see if the gacha system is available here too.
He closed the floating status window with a thought. The blue screen faded from his sight, disappearing into the darkness like mist.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then another interface slowly appeared in front of him.
Aiden’s eyes lit up a little.
There it was.
The Gacha System.
He immediately opened it.
The screen expanded into a larger interface, glowing faintly in the night. Rows of familiar icons appeared, along with a large circular slot in the center, the exact same design he remembered from the game.
“It’s exactly the same…” Aiden muttered quietly.
He studied the screen carefully.
But when his eyes moved to the cost, his expression changed.
One pull required 1,000 gold coins.
Aiden raised an eyebrow.
“That expensive?”
And that was only for the Level 21 Gacha.
Just like in the game, the gacha tier increased with his level. As he got stronger, new gacha pools would unlock.
But that also meant the price would go up.
Much higher.
Still, the rewards were worth it.
The undead species obtained from higher-tier gachas were far stronger, and far rarer. Some of them weren’t just stronger skeletons or zombies. They were completely different undead creatures with terrifying abilities.
Creatures that could dominate battlefields on their own.
Aiden stared at the glowing screen, already imagining the possibilities.
But then reality quickly caught up.
He opened his inventory to check his current funds.
The number appeared.
500 Gold Coins.
Aiden let out a quiet breath.
“…Not even half.”
The gacha window remained floating in front of him, almost teasing him with the possibility of powerful undead.
He was still standing on the rooftop, staring at the gacha interface floating in front of him. The glowing screen reflected faintly in his eyes while the evening wind brushed past him.
The sun was already setting.
Orange light spread across the sky, slowly fading into darker shades as night approached. The entire town looked strangely quiet from above. Normally, this place would still be lively at this hour, but tonight it felt different.
Too quiet.
The townspeople already knew something was happening. Word had spread quickly that the Dustwind clan was fighting an intruder. Since then, most of the people in town had locked their doors and shut their windows, hiding inside their homes.
No one dared to step outside.
From Aiden’s position, the streets looked almost empty.
Then suddenly.
A new screen appeared in front of him.
