“Enter and be amazed!” Ren said as he opened the door to his cottage in the hidden training ground and let the girls in.

Instantly, a whole new world opened in front of them as Ren gave them a tour through the house that was more or less a small mansion at this point than a cottage.

In the end, he discarded his space enlarging seals when he gained an insight while working on them. Instead, what the girls and Ren were touring right now was his personal sub-dimension he had created.

He was always a little leery of trying to do this because it just sounded like such a massive undertaking. That’s why he went the Minato route instead of trying to go the Obito route when it came to teleporting.

But even his stubbornness had an end.

He was missing a crucial aspect in the way Minato and Tobirama teleported. It couldn’t be more obvious to him after failing to adjust his transportation seal and lower its channeling time.

So, despite his misgivings, when he had gotten a clue in how to go about creating his own sub-dimension, Ren sighed, buckled up, and gritted his teeth before he spammed clones and attempted to do it.

Surprisingly, it only took him two weeks to finish it.

Now, if somebody asked him to explain the process step by step? He would just say seals had done it. Because, really, that was pretty much the extent of his knowledge of the inner workings of what he accomplished.

Maybe it was surprising to some people, but most ninjas didn’t really know how their techniques worked.

No Uchiha could tell you how their Mangekyo did the bullshit things it did. It just did.

Hashirama could not explain how his Wood Release worked. It just did.

Tobirama could not give you a proper lecture about how Edo Tensei pulled a soul from the Pure Lands. It just did.

And not many seal practitioners could tell you how they can create a pocket dimension where they can store things so easily with just a slip of paper and a bit of chakra ink. It just worked.

Ren’s seals that created this sub-dimension were no different. It was mostly a trial-and-error process based on his understanding of space and dimensions from his work with storage seals and the space-enlarging seals.

He was not even sure his trial and error would lead to anything worthwhile when he started. But he had free time. Fortunately, after two hundred seventy-six failures, his clones had finally managed to make a stable sub-dimension.

Now he only had to figure out how to do the whole teleport and intangibility thingy from here, and he can cosplay as a good boy.

“This is amazing!” Ino exclaimed with a wide smile as she twirled and looked around the spacious living room before her posterior landed on the expensive couch Ren bought in the capital.

Shaking his head in amusement, Ren also seated himself on the couch, and Hinata quickly sat on his lap, her arms snaking around his torso as she contentedly rested her head on his shoulder.

“It’s quite something.” She hummed, pressing her forehead into Ren’s cheek as he loosely embraced her.

“You haven’t even seen the best part yet.” Ren calmly said, enjoying the excited and anticipatory look Ino gave him. And while he couldn’t see Hinata’s face, he felt how she tightened her embrace.

Without further ado, Ren decided not to tease them and went for the big reveal. With a quick hand seal, he activated one sealing array in the house, and both Ino and Hinata felt a wave of chakra hit them before it spread through the surroundings.

They blinked… but nothing had changed?

Ino gave Ren a questioning look, and he smugly smirked. “You said you have only an hour before you have to go, right, Ino?”

Frowning, Ino nodded, “Yeah. I gotta attend the Ino-Shika-Cho clan gathering.” She rolled her eyes.

Ren was actually invited, and she would have loved it if he went with her, but he didn’t want to leave Hinata alone this evening. Unlike the Yamanaka clan and its allies, the Hyuga clan did not do ‘celebrations’. Hinata wasn’t even given a simple ‘congratulations’ from her family for her promotion to a genin because for them, it was only expected of her.

Ino was a bit sad that Ren decided not to go with her. But she could admit that while she would have her entire family and friends around her, Hinata was going to be alone.

Even her sister, Hanabi, was not home because of her clan duties. So, Ren decided to have a small private celebration. Just for the two of them until Ino came back from the clan gathering, that was pretty much just an excuse for a party.

“Then I think you will be pleased to know that your one hour has just tripled. The seal…” Ren suddenly stopped and pursed his lips with furrowed eyebrows, “ugh, ah, yeah, how to explain this in dumbass language?” He muttered under his nose, and Ino’s smile twitched as she had gotten an urge to punch him.

“I guess it does not matter.” Ren shrugged. “You can think of it as if the seal slowed down time for us. Every hour outside is three inside.”

And wasn’t that bothersome to create? But playing with his time-stopping seals was fun. There was so much to discover. This was one of the things he found out and could implement.

“Since you are becoming a full-fledged genin, we will have much less time to spend with each other.” Ren continued, giving Ino a slightly embarrassed smile while he snuggled closer to Hinata, “So, I wanted to give us more time with each other.”

Ino’s inner anger diminished greatly hearing that, and she couldn’t help but have a pleased smile appear on her lips. To cover how happy that made her, Ino snagged a cookie from the table in front of the couch, and she had to admit, Hinata was becoming an amazing cook and baker. Living with her was going to have some very nice upsides for her taste buds.

But the cookies were not the only thing Ren unsealed onto the table when they came into the room. Ino’s eyes wandered toward two small boxes on the table, and her cheeks flushed.

Noticing where her gaze was directed, Ren tapped Hinata’s back, and she, with a huff of reluctance, dragged herself away from his lap as she sat next to him on the couch. Ren leaned forward and took the two boxes into his hands.

Opening them, he revealed that each box held a ring.

Both Ino and Hinata perked up, and Ren could only wryly smile. “Sorry, girls. I am not proposing. Not yet.”

Contrary to his expectations, that didn’t lessen their enthusiasm in the slightest.

“You are giving us a ring. Of course, you are proposing, Mister.” Ino playfully rolled her eyes as she reached out and took the box with a pastel blue sapphire ring.

“What bimbo said.” Hinata happily mumbled with pink cheeks and a massive smile as she took the amethyst ring and didn’t even take it out of the box before she started to stare at it in awe.

Ren scratched his cheek, feeling a bit awkward. He knew he wanted to give them plain copper bands at first. That made him feel a bit bad. The reason why it was silver rings with precious stones was that he found out silver and gemstones were a good conductor for chakra… somehow.

These materials allowed him to go a bit wild with the seals on these rings.

“The rings have an alert seal and a teleportation marker in them. You just need to channel your chakra into them in a certain frequency, and I’ll get notified that you are in trouble.”

“Oh, you will be our dashing samurai, saving the poor maiden from big baddies?” Ino gleefully purred, and Ren chuckled, putting his hand on her head, which made her happily pout.

“There is also a variant of our telepathic seal. It is… well, not a stable connection, so we won’t be able to talk with each other when we are too far away.” Their telepathic seal had a range of two kilometers at best. “But we should still be able to send each other a short message once every few hours.”

And from the way Hinata’s eyes sparkled, she was going to be using that function a lot. Ren almost regretted giving it to the girls because he feared his brain was going to be introduced to the horrors of mental spam mail.

Shaking his head, Ren put his arms around Hinata’s and Ino’s shoulders before pulling them both into an intimate half-hug. “And I should be able to teleport you to me or teleport to you, so keep the rings safe and near you, alright, girls?”

He felt them both nod as they slipped the rings onto their fingers.

For a few minutes, the trio just quietly snuggled, enjoying the peaceful moment. But it couldn’t last as Ino’s hands sneaked underneath Ren’s shirt.

“Wait.” Hinata said, stopping Ino in their tracks, much to Ren’s disappointment. “There is something I want to try.”

“Yes?” Ren tilted his head. The girls were very… eager to explore in the bedroom. He didn’t think there was a virginity they had not given to him yet. “What is it?”

Hinata beamed, “In your house in the capital-“

And Ren suddenly started to have a very bad premonition.

“-in your office, you have a table, and in the second drawer is a notebook-“

“And you do know that room and drawer are locked with security seals all over the place for a reason, yes?” Ren asked with a strained smile, alarm bells going on in his head.

Hinata, however, just innocently smiled. “Well, yes. But I can’t really help it. My Byakugan can see all.” She shrugged as if it wasn’t a big deal, and Ren had to take a deep breath. He was fully aware that’s not how Byakugan worked, and she knew he knew!

“What’s in the notebook?” Ino eagerly asked, and Hinata’s hands clutched Ren’s shirt as she bit her lower lip.

With an embarrassed but resolute expression, the Hyuga girl uttered words that made Ren want to dig himself a hole and hide in there for the rest of his life.

“Ren named it Dual Cultivation for some reason, even though it has nothing to do with farming.” Hinata said with a bit of confusion coloring her tone. “Apparently, having sex can increase our chakra by using it. You know, just like these boring and bothersome meditation exercises we do with him every other day.” She huffed with distaste.

“Wait. We could have been fucking instead of meditating this whole time!?” Ino yelled in outrage, and Hinata pouted, giving Ino an understanding nod.

“Yes.”

With an expression full of disbelief, Ino looked at Ren, giving him a ‘are you freaking kidding me?’ look.

“What the hell is wrong with you!?” She indignantly asked.

“Ino…” Ren groaned, but Ino quickly interrupted him.

“Don’t Ino me, Mister!” She stabbed her pointing finger into his chest in her usual fashion.

Quickly understanding that he wouldn’t get any support from Ino, he turned toward his other girl. “Hina-“

“Please?” Who just gave him a puppy dog eye stare, and Ren’s words stuck in his throat as he hesitated, having a very hard time telling her ‘No’ when she looked at him like that.

“We have three, well, two and a half hours.” Ino gently took Ren’s cheeks into her hands and moved his head to look at her, just as her hair grew and separated into tendrils that started to quickly undress her with a practiced ease. Seeing how Ren’s sight dipped toward her chest, the girl subconsciously licked her lips. “Enough for some impromptu… training, no?” She breathlessly asked.

“This is so embarrassing.” Ren, with red cheeks, muttered as he felt Hinata slide in between his legs while her hands started to fiddle with his pants.

He felt dirty bringing something like Dual Cultivation into the world. He intended to tell the girls.

Eventually.

Later.

When he no longer felt so damn embarrassed just thinking about it?

But the cat was out of the bag now.

As he felt Ino’s soft lips land on his mouth while her fingernails scratched his skin on his chest, and Hinata’s warm hands took his lower part into her grip as her tongue…, Ren decided it didn’t matter.

He would take the good with the bad. This battle was lost successfully, and he would happily die on that hill.
