Chapter 75: Devil Attendant Amon
Ian’s eyes widened after reading the last line.
“Ten thousand times?” he whispered to himself. His voice trembled, not from fear, but from excitement. That number was far beyond anything he had ever imagined. Even the strongest enemies he had faced didn’t have a power-up like this.
He looked at his hand. Energy moved across his skin like soft blue fire, calm but powerful. He slowly raised his hand, and with just a thought, the sky above him split open. Clouds scattered. The wind howled. A strange pressure filled the air.
He quickly closed his fist again. “I have to be careful… I could destroy this planet by accident.”
Even though he had this power, Ian didn’t feel arrogant. He knew this kind of strength could attract attention, dangerous attention.
“Someone must’ve noticed already,” he said. “Gods, devils, watchers… they’re probably watching me now.”
He wasn’t wrong.
Far across the stars, in the upper levels of the God Realm, a pair of golden eyes opened. They belonged to an old being dressed in silver robes, sitting in front of a glowing orb, who had light blue skin similar to the Grand Devil.
“This one… He is different,” the old devil whispered. “He must be tested.”
Back on the planet, Ian flew up into the sky. His body passed through the clouds in a blur. He stopped once he reached space. The stars stretched out in all directions. It was quiet, cold, and empty. Yet Ian felt alive, free.
“This is where I belong now. Not on the ground… but up here.”
He raised his palm again. “Let’s test this Nether Divine Ki.”
He pointed to a distant asteroid, floating far away. With a thought, a thin black light shot from his finger. It didn’t make a sound. When it hit, the asteroid didn’t just explode; it vanished. Not a trace was left.
Ian let out a slow breath. “This power… I need to learn to control it better.”
Suddenly, he felt something behind him. A soft sound, like fabric moving in water. He turned. A being stood there, floating. She had white hair and eyes that seemed to hold stars inside them.
“Ian,” she said calmly. “I am a Devil Attendant. I am here to observe you.”
Ian frowned but didn’t attack. “Observe? Or stop me?”
She shook her head. “Not yet. But you must know what you are now, the others will not ignore. The balance is shaking.”
“So what? This power is something I achieved through my own efforts,” Ian said. “I won’t let anyone take it from me either.”
“Then be ready,” she replied. “Because soon, the tests will begin. And not all of them will be fair.”
With that, she vanished.
Ian stared at the empty space where she had stood. He looked down at his hands again.
…
Inside the God Realm, high above all Universes, many Gods and Devil Attendants sat inside a large hall. The floor was made of shining white stone, and the ceiling showed the stars of every Universe.
A tall God with golden armor stood and spoke first. “So it’s true. A new God has appeared in the First Universe.”
Another God, dressed in green robes, nodded. “Yes. And he defeated the Dark God… alone.”
Many in the room were silent. Then a soft voice came from the side. “That power shouldn’t be ignored.”
The voice came from a woman with gray eyes and long silver hair. She was not a God. She was a Devil Attendant.
Even though she looked peaceful, all the Gods gave her quiet respect.
Devil Attendants were stronger than most Gods. But they followed strict rules. They were not allowed to interfere in battles. Their job was only to give advice and support. Not even one finger could touch the Universe they were assigned to.
“And what about the one assigned to him?” asked the golden-armored True God. “Who is Ian’s Devil Attendant?”
A strange silence fell. Then the gray-eyed woman spoke again. “His name is Amon.”
“Amon?” a few Gods asked at the same time.
“That Amon?” someone whispered.
The room filled with quiet fear. Even the Gods looked nervous now.
“Isn’t he the elder’s personal Devil Attendant?” one said.
“Yes,” said the gray-eyed woman. “No one knows much about him. Even we, the Attendants, do not know his past. But we know one thing… He has never failed a task. And he has never shown emotion.”
Meanwhile, in the First Universe, Ian stood at the edge of a galaxy. Countless stars stretched in front of him. Behind him floated a man dressed in black. His hair was gray, his face calm. This was Amon.
“You are now the God of the North Galaxy,” Amon said without any feeling. “Your task is to watch over its life, its order, and its laws. Do not let chaos grow.”
Ian nodded slowly. “I understand.”
Amon stared at him for a moment. “Your growth is fast. Faster than what the God Realm expected. I will watch. I will advise. But I will not interfere.”
Ian didn’t answer. He had decided already, his Nether Divine Ki would remain secret. He only showed them the Dark Divine Ki, which was already powerful enough to scare most. His system? That was his greatest secret.
If they knew about it… they might fear him. Or worse, try to erase him.
For now, Ian chose to play it safe. Let them think he was just a strong new God. Nothing more.
As Amon floated behind him in silence, Ian looked out at the stars again.
“This galaxy is mine to protect now,” he said softly. “Let’s see what threats are there in this damned place.
“Ian,” he said calmly, “You have power. But power without control is useless. From now on, I will train you to use your Divine Ki to its full potential.”
Ian turned his head slightly. “I thought you were only here to advise.”
“I am,” Amon replied, voice steady. “And training is advice. I won’t fight for you. I won’t act in your place. But I will guide you.”
Ian nodded. “Alright. Then let’s begin.”
Amon raised one hand. A small black and white flame formed in his palm. It spun slowly, not giving off heat or sound.
“This,” Amon said, “is Divine Ki. It is made by fusing two forces: cosmic energy and dark matter. Cosmic energy comes from the stars, from the light of creation. Dark matter is the unseen force that holds galaxies together. When you mix them correctly, they form Divine Ki.”
