Chapter 91: Conspiracy of the True Gods
At the age of 1,363, Ian stopped training for a while. He sat in his quiet land, thinking about life, power, and what came next. He had reached a level where he no longer needed to fight often. Most strong beings now stayed away from his land, and many came only to ask for help or advice. As for his debts to the system?
At the age of 1,364, Ian started to visit lower realms. He helped fix broken lands, stopped some small wars, and gave warnings to gods who were causing trouble. He didn’t stay long in any place, and most people only saw his shadow or felt his cold calm. Still, his name became more known, even in realms that once feared him.
At the age of 1,365, Adam told Ian that Zero had returned again. This time, Zero had changed. His energy was harder to read, and some said he had eaten a dying star to grow stronger. Ian did not go after him. Instead, he told Adam, “If he wants to find me, he will.”
At the age of 1,366, Ian was given a divine sword, but he gave it to a mortal with godly talent. He no longer needed it. His hands and mind were now sharper than any weapon. He gave the broken sword to a young god who dreamed of becoming strong. That god later became a guardian of a small world and made a statue of Ian as thanks.
At the age of 1,367, a strange hole opened near Ian’s land. Time moved backward around it. Ian stepped near the hole and stood still. After one breath, the hole closed. Adam asked what happened. Ian said, “That place was not meant to open yet.” No one asked more.
At the age of 1,368, Ian reached a point where his body did not change anymore. He no longer aged, no longer felt pain, hunger, or sleep. He had become like a living law, something that simply was. The sky in his land no longer changed color, because it had become tied to his calm mind. It had long been paid, and he had a surplus of biomass, amounting to a million.
At the age of 1,369, a group of young gods tried to test Ian by sending attacks from far away. None of the attacks reached him. The energy they sent broke apart in the air and turned to wind. Ian did not get angry. He said nothing, but the young gods felt fear and did not try again.
At the age of 1,400, Ian started to feel strange changes in the flow of energy around the God Realm. He felt a slow pull behind the scenes, like someone was trying to move pieces without being seen. He did not act yet, but he kept watching.
At the age of 1,410, Ian noticed that many True Gods had grown silent whenever he was around. Adam warned him, saying, “Some gods do not like your growth. They see your calm as danger.” This was the start of what would later be known as the Conspiracy of the True Gods.
At the age of 1,456, the Lightning God grew restless. His power was once second only to Adam, but Ian had long passed him. Out of pride and hidden envy, he started to gather others who disliked Ian’s rise. He began to speak of balance being broken.
At the age of 1,500, the Cloud God, always sly and careful, pretended to support the Lightning God but was planning something else. He planted lies and fear, hoping the Lightning God would make the first move and fall, so the Cloud God could take his seat.
At the age of 1,753, news from the Second Universe reached Ian’s ears. A massive storm of energy had awoken across thousands of planets. The Curse God, one of the strongest beings from that universe, sent a message to Ian for help.
At the age of 1,788, Ian left the First Universe for the first time in centuries. He met the Curse God and learned that animals had begun to evolve into strong, spirit-based beings. The center of this event was a planet called Aqua, home to humans very much like Earth’s.
At the age of 1,789, Ian used the Curse God’s divine eyes and curse-sensing power to find the root of the problem. He discovered a sealed core beneath Aqua, left by a long-dead Outer Being. Its energy was twisting the laws of life.
At the age of 1,827, Ian finished cleansing the planet and sealing the core. He left some protective laws behind so the people and beasts of Aqua could grow safely. Before he left, a child with strange eyes said, “We’ll see you again.”
At the age of 1,892, Ian returned to the God Realm. The moment he arrived, a trap was sprung. A group of True Gods, over twenty, had formed a pact to kill him. They sealed the land and tried to cut him off from his own power. Ian simply opened his Elder Nine Paths God Form. One wave of his hand, and they were all turned to ash. The skies didn’t even stir.
At the age of 19,731, Ian heard about a war in the Third Universe. Two major races had wiped each other out after fighting for 10,000 years. He never went there. It was already over by the time the news reached him.
At the age of 2,091, a Void Whale was born in the middle of a black hole. It sang a song that made stars shake. Ian heard the sound while meditating. He smiled but said nothing.
At the age of 2,300, a tear in time nearly broke the link between the First and Second Universes. Ian helped fix it from afar, only by focusing his will. No one knew he was the one who stopped the collapse.
“When would that bastard Zero come to me? I’m so fucking itching to beat him up.” Ian sighed.
