Chapter 108: Chapter 108
Si woo
I woke up already pissed off and the first thing that hit me was the sound of Ye Jun laughing downstairs with Ohm like yesterday’s fight never happened. I dragged my hand down my face and muttered to myself, “Of course he’s down there giggling with that asshole again.” My jaw hurt from how hard I’d been grinding my teeth all night and my dick was already half-hard just from thinking about dragging Ye Jun away from him, but mostly I wanted to punch something. I pulled on clothes fast and headed down because I couldn’t sit in my room listening to that shit anymore.
When I walked into the kitchen Ye Jun was leaning against the counter way too close to Ohm, both of them holding coffee and talking about some dumb trail they wanted to hike today. Ohm said something about how the view was supposed to be nice and Ye Jun laughed again, that soft laugh that used to be aimed at me before this trip turned into a nightmare. I stopped in the doorway and just stared because the sight made my blood boil so fast I could feel my scent spike.
“Morning,” I said, keeping my voice flat even though I wanted to snarl. I walked straight to the fridge without looking at either of them but I could feel Ye Jun’s eyes on me. He sighed loud like he was already tired of me. “Si Woo, can we not start the day with attitude? We’re supposed to be on a family trip.”
I grabbed the milk and slammed the fridge door harder than I meant to. “Attitude? I’m just getting coffee. You two seem to be having a great time without me so don’t let me ruin your little morning date.” Ohm tried to play nice like always and said, “Come on man, it’s breakfast. No need to make it weird again.” I laughed short and mean while I poured my coffee. “Weird? You’re the one who was grinding on him at the pool table last night and now you’re acting like we’re all buddies. Real smooth, Ohm.”
Ye Jun groaned and stepped between us even though I hadn’t moved closer. “Here we go. Si Woo, you apologized yesterday and then two hours later you were throwing punches. Can you just eat and shut up for once?” His voice had that edge, the one that said he was still mad at me but his cheeks were a little pink like my scent was getting to him too. I took a sip and looked right at him over the mug. “Shut up? Sure. I’ll shut up while you let him mark you and act like I’m the crazy one for noticing. Tell me, Ye Jun, did he already stick that ugly dick in your ass or are you still pretending you’re just friends?”
Ye Jun’s eyes went wide and he glanced quick toward the living room where the parents were. “What the hell is wrong with you? You can’t say shit like that out loud.” Ohm put his cup down and his jaw tightened. “Si Woo, that’s enough. Ye Jun isn’t your property and you need to back off.” I stepped closer, coffee forgotten, and pointed at Ohm. “Back off? You’re the one who needs to back off my brother. I see the way you look at him. I smell it on him now too. You marked him, didn’t you? Don’t lie to my face.”
Ye Jun shoved at my chest but I didn’t budge. “Stop it. Both of you. I’m standing right here and I’m not a damn toy you fight over. Si Woo, you keep doing this jealous bullshit and then wonder why I talk to someone who actually treats me normal.” His voice cracked on the last word and I saw the hurt flash in his eyes, the same hurt that made my chest squeeze even while I was furious. I laughed again because if I didn’t laugh I might do something stupid. “Normal? Yeah, real normal to rub up on someone else’s man at the pool table and then play hero the next day. Keep telling yourself that, Ye Jun. Keep laughing with him while I stand here knowing exactly what you smell like when you’re turned on.”
Ohm moved like he was going to step in again but Ye Jun held up a hand. “Don’t. Just don’t. Don’t be delusional he’s not your man Si Woo, if you can’t act civil then maybe you should skip the hike today and stay here sulking.” I smirked even though it hurt. “Sulking? I’m not the one hiding what happened between us against that tree. But fine. You two go play happy couple on the trail. I’ll skip the breaks and meet you later or whatever. I need some air away from this circus.”
I didn’t wait for an answer. I grabbed a quick breakfast bar, shoved it in my pocket, and headed out fast because staying in that kitchen another minute would have ended with me swinging again. The whole morning I stayed away from the group on purpose, walking ahead or hanging back, skipping every stop they made to take pictures or rest because watching Ye Jun walk next to Ohm made me want to scream. My mind kept spinning the same loop: what if that polished prick already had his dick in Ye Jun’s ass? What if Ye Jun’s hole belonged to him now and not me? The thought made me so hard I had to adjust myself while I walked and the anger mixed with the want until I felt like I was losing my mind.
By the time we stopped for a longer break in the afternoon I was done. Ye Jun and Ohm were sitting together on a log laughing about something stupid again and I couldn’t take it. I muttered, “Fuck this,” under my breath and slipped away from the group without telling anyone. I found a spot behind some trees where no one could see or hear and pulled out my phone. My hands were shaking a little from how pissed I was but I dialed the old number anyway, the one I swore I’d never use again after I left that life. I spoke fast and low, giving just enough details about where we were and what needed to happen to end this trip today. I didn’t say much more than that. When I hung up I felt a small smirk pull at my lips because it was done. No one would trace it back to me. The trip was about to end early and Ye Jun would finally be away from that asshole.
I walked back to the group like nothing happened, sliding into place just as they were packing up to keep going. Everything seemed normal for about ten minutes and then the shouts started from the edge of the trail.
Gunfire cracked loud and sharp and suddenly people were yelling and dropping to the ground. I acted shocked, eyes wide, voice all panicked as I shouted, “What the fuck? Get down!” A bullet grazed Ohm’s shoulder and he grunted, blood soaking through his shirt fast. He dropped to one knee and Ye Jun’s face went pale.
I moved quickly, grabbing Ye Jun’s hand hard and pulling him toward the safer side away from the noise. “Come on, we run this way now! Leave him, we have to go!” My heart was actually pounding for real even though I knew the plan because bullets were still popping and I didn’t want Ye Jun actually hurt. But Ye Jun ripped his hand out of mine so fast it stung and he ran straight toward Ohm instead, dropping down next to him and pressing his hands over the wound. “Ohm! Hold on, it’s just a graze, stay with me!”
I stood there dumbfounded, mouth open, staring at the way he chose that prick again right in the middle of the chaos. My chest felt like someone kicked it because after everything, after I apologized against the tree, after I told him how much I hated hurting him, he still let go of my hand and ran to Ohm. The parents were screaming, Dad was yelling for everyone to get inside, and the sirens started in the distance. I forced myself to move, dropping down like I was concerned too. “Shit, Ohm, you okay? Ye Jun, keep pressure on it, I’ll get help.” I hated saying the words but I had to look innocent. I knew nothing, I was just the worried stepbrother trying to save everyone.
The raid ended fast once the cops showed up. My old contacts had timed it perfectly, just enough scare and one graze to send everyone running home without anyone dying. Ohm got rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and the rest of us spent hours giving statements, saying we had no idea who would attack a family vacation like that. Ye Jun stayed close to Ohm’s family the whole time, his hands still shaking and his face tight with worry. Every time he looked at me I saw the mix of anger and confusion and something sadder that made my throat feel thick
