Chapter 8: Chapter 8
~Ye Jun~
We stumbled through the front door, me still reeking of cum and slaps, shirt crusty and gross against my skin, and Si-woo right behind me like he owned the place, which he kinda did since his dad paid for this fancy house after the marriage. I wiped at my face, trying to hide the dried tear tracks, but who was I kidding, my cheeks were probably glowing red like stop signs from all his handiwork in the elevator. “Home sweet hell,” I muttered under my breath, kicking off my shoes messy, one flying into the coat rack and knocking a jacket down.
Si-woo didn’t even pause, just strode right into the living room where Mom and Dad, his dad, my stepdad were sitting, Mom fussing with some napkins on the dining table that was already set with all that fancy barbecue spread, the smell of grilled meat hitting me hard and making my stomach growl even though I felt like throwing up from the emotional whiplash. He nodded at his dad, all curt and businesslike, “Dad,” and then completely blanked Mom, didn’t even glance her way, just headed for the stairs like he was too important to acknowledge her existence.
Dad’s face twisted up instantly, that vein in his forehead popping. “Si-woo! What the hell? You walk in here and don’t even say hello to your mother? We’ve talked about this, boy respect in this house, or you can find your own damn place!” He slammed his hand on the arm of the couch, standing up quick, his voice booming through the room, and I couldn’t help but smirk a little inside because yeah, get him, Dad, but out loud I just stood there awkward, shuffling my feet.
Si-woo stopped halfway up the stairs, turned slow with that smug look, like he was above it all. “Hello, Mom!,” he drawled out, not even bothering to make it sound sincere, more like he was reciting lines from a bad script, and then he kept going up without waiting for a reply.
Mom’s lips pressed thin, but she waved it off with a forced smile, always the peacemaker. “It’s fine, honey, he’s probably tired from work. Come on, Ye Jun, help me set the table dinner’s ready, and I made your favorite bulgogi.”
Dad grumbled, sitting back down heavy, still glaring up the stairs. “Tired my ass. That boy’s got an attitude problem, always has. Thinks being vice chairman makes him king of the world. Well, I’m the chairman, and I can remind him who’s in charge anytime.” He pointed at me then, his scowl softening a bit. “You, on the other hand, Junnie good to see you. How was your day?”
I forced a grin, ignoring the sticky pull of my shirt as I moved to grab some plates from the kitchen. “Oh, you know, eventful. Got stuck in an elevator with a real jerk.” I shot a glance up the stairs where Si-woo had disappeared, hoping he heard that, the bastard.
By the time Si-woo came back down, all freshened up like nothing happened, hair slicked back and smelling like that expensive cologne we were already at the table. Mom piled food on everyone’s plates, chattering away to fill the silence. “Here, Si-woo, extra meat for you you work so hard at the company. And Ye Jun, eat up, you’re looking a bit flushed. Everything okay?”
I nodded quickly, stuffing a piece of bulgogi in my mouth to avoid talking, because if I started, I’d probably ramble into disaster territory about elevators and slaps and cum stains. Si-woo sat across from me, his eyes locking on mine with that arrogant gleam, like he was daring me to say something. Dad cleared his throat, passing the kimchi. “So, boys, how’s the sibling bonding going? We hoped moving in together would make you closer family’s everything, right? No more of that awkward stepbrother nonsense.”
Mom beamed, nodding fast. “Yes! I see you two driving together sometimes, that’s so sweet. Si-woo, you’re taking good care of Ye Jun at work too, aren’t you? Showing him the ropes?”
Si-woo’s mouth curved into a smirk, and he leaned back in his chair, all casual. “Oh, yeah, we’re really close. I make sure he knows his place.” His voice was smooth, but under the table, his foot suddenly nudged against my shin, sliding up slowly , and I froze mid-chew, because what the fuck then it kept going, his socked toe pressing right against my crotch, rubbing deliberately , like he was trying to start round two right there with our parents two feet away.
I choked on the meat, coughing hard, eyes watering as I grabbed my water glass and chugged. “Ye Jun!” Mom reached over, patting my back. “Slow down, sweetie, no one’s taking your food.”
Dad laughed, that deep belly rumble. “Kid eats like he’s starving. Si-woo, pass him more rice.”
