When Jin arrived at the mansion, Silvia and Iris stood in the backyard where the commotion happened.

They stared at Jin, who brought the sleeping Lucya in his arms and didn’t utter a word as she received the princess.

The two nodded and disappeared to their room. Jin shrugged his shoulders at what event had transpired earlier.

“Five years, huh?”. Jin muttered, his eyes looking toward the faraway scene.

He reached out to his left shoulder, where it began to pulsate. The curse and howl of the werewolves seemed distant yet closed.

“Well, I guess I need to test my chances later”.

The boy walked inside the mansion, went down the hallway, and arrived at his room on the second floor.

Jin entered inside and straight down to his bed. The softness enveloped his body, turning his eyelid heavy. He soon drifted to sleep.

After putting on his uniform and drying his wet hair, he tossed his dirty clothes in the basket. Then, he left his room to be greeted by one of the maids who stood before his door.

The maid straightened her posture and guided him to the dining room where others had arrived before him.

Silvia glanced at him with raised brows, prompting the others to look at him except Lucya, who averted her gaze with a slight pink in her cheeks.

“I’m fine now”. Jin nodded and took his seat beside Lucya.

“Don’t force yourself,” Iris said a brief word and resumed eating the toast on her plate.

The room became quiet as it filled with the smell of melted butter and the savoury taste of the stew, which contained a lot of meat.

Jin dipped the toast into the stew, let it simmer for a few seconds, and put it in his mouth. ’This is bliss’.

After finishing breakfast, the group left the mansion and stepped into the street.

There, they could witness several students like them who spend their holiday in their mansion rather than the dormitory.

Jin walked in front with the girl following; everywhere his group passed, a wave of murmurs spread like wildfire, seeing them walking together from the same place.

He ignored the whispers and continued his walk until he arrived in the main street.

The morning sun spilled its golden light into the cobblestone street, casting a warm glow through the bustling area.

“I’m fine now,” Jin exhaled. This was the second time he had been asked the same question. ’I’m beginning to hesitate to enter the class’.

The man nodded and looked toward the girls behind Jin. “I’m sorry, but can I talk with Jin?”

Silvia was about to step forward, but when Jin raised his hand, she swallowed her words and nodded.

“Very well, Jin we will be going ahead”.

Jin nodded and saw the three girls leave the place before one of the teachers who used to guard the gate stopped them.

“Student Lucya we have something to talk about regarding your leave yesterday”.

“Ah!”. Lucya, aware of what she did, slapped her own face and reluctantly got snatched by the teacher.

“Shall we?”.

Dannan turned to Jin, and seeing the boy nod, they left the entrance gate with curious gazes following their backs.

Jin followed the man’s back, silently walking across the paved stone road.

Neither of them tried to start a topic for a moment. They leisurely strode over the academy area until they arrived inside a building.

In the hallway, where no eyes were watching, Dannan stopped and turned around as he bent his torso forward.

“Jin, I couldn’t fathom just how much I appreciated what you did at that time. Thank you, truly”.

With shrugged shoulders, Jin said. “I accept your thanks, but I just did what I think was right to protect what’s important to me, but in the end…”.

Jin stopped and couldn’t help but chuckle as he recalled the battle. ’…I was the one who was being saved that day’.

Dannan straightened his back and glanced at the boy before him. His emerald eyes stare at the window.

The boy’s presence extended far as he seemed bigger compared to his. “Are you really a student, Jin?”.

Jin shifted his gaze and spread his lips in a grin.

After Dannan finished his deal, he left Jin alone and returned to the teacher’s office.

Jin stood alone in the long hallway. His shadows stretched far away by the filtered glow of the sun. He muttered, “Is she around the infirmary, right now?”

He moved his legs and brought him into the infirmary after passing several turns and corridors.

The boy raised his hand and hesitated to knock, but the other person inside seemed to notice him first.

“Come in, Jin.” A melodious voice rang across the door, bringing warmth and comfort to anyone who heard it.

As he slid the door sideways, the nurse, named Philia, or rather her true identity, the Goddess Hestia avatar, sat on the chair, holding a silver cup with steaming tea.

“What’s the matter, Jin, visiting this place first thing in the morning”. Hestia paused, and then her eyes widened in shock. “Don’t tell me it is regarding your wound?”.

Jin scratched his cheek and closed the door tight. “It wasn’t quite off the mark, but…”.

He approached the woman with firm steps and abruptly kneeled before her.

“Goddess Hestia, I seek your guidance…”.
